Brown Bear Bakery

Their scallion cream cheese croissant is near the top of my list of best pastries I've tried this year. It's better than a similar one from Radio Bakery in NYC. Perfect lamination and awesome scallion flavor.I also LOVED the cinnamon roll. I'm a huge sweet roll fan and I thought this one had the perfect light and fluffy bread with not-too-sweet filling and icing. I really hope I get to come back for more in Cincinnati!

This crew is the best. After showing up at 12:30 on a Friday to see that they had sold out of their pastries, they recommended that we place an advance order for Saturday. It was the best decision!The Saturday line was out of the door, but I was able to head directly to the counter to retrieve my four warm treats. A great experience......which was multiplied when actually tasting everything. The Summer Savory was the cream of an amazing crop. There were no duds in my pastry quartet. The lines and the sellouts make perfect sense.

Possibly some of the most delicious sweets I've had recently. The cinnamon roll is slightly Orange flavored and so rich and gooey. Chocolate croissant was flaky and decadent. The savory treats looked great though I didn't try them. Overall, a must try!

Came for the cinnamon roll and it did not disappoint! It was soft, the icing perfectly sweet and had a hint of orange. The twice baked almond croissant was a tad too crisp for my liking but the almond filling was delicious. Service was fast, staff kind and the location was quaintly cute and inviting. Can't wait to go back (I'm from Columbus) and try more things. Next time I'm for sure ordering coffee as the options seemed great.

Be aware of the popularity of this place! Lines will be long, but for good reason. The pastries are wonderful and coffee great. Also non caffeinated drink options, seasonal apple cider was a little to sweet for my taste, but coffee was good. Limited seating inside.

Stopped by around 10am on the day after July 4th and sadly, most of the savories pastries were already sold out! But that's my fault since I know many of the reviews have stated that. I ordered the seasonal orange blossom latte which was fantastic, flavorful, and not-too-sweet. I also ordered the miso butter cookie, the salty choco chip cookie (SO GOOD), a pain au chocolat, the focaccia, and the breakfast sandwich.Overall, the coffee drinks and laminated pastry dough was fantastic. I took off a star because I honestly was not wowed by the breakfast sandwich. I do love a souffle egg, but it wasn't super tender or moist and I really think I would've enjoyed a sauce on the sandwich. There may have been a dijoinnaise on there, but not nearly enough sauce for me to taste. I also wish they had some breads for sale since I know they sell bread a their sister bakery. I do want to come back earlier next time to try their savory pastries and I would love to try their sister bakery Two Seven Two as well.

Still our fave bakery in the city! We love grabbing treats on the weekend! The seasonal items are delicious so def grab those as they can be limited!

LOVE. The line in the mornings can get pretty gnarly (like, out the door & around the block gnarly), especially on the weekends, since they make everything fresh and can run out of favorite items quickly. This most recent visit, I got the everything bagel croissant on a friend's recommendation. Sooooo good!!!! I will be getting this again at future visits. Their menu is so fresh and has seasonal additions, making each visit different and memorable. LOVE!There are a few different seating options inside the space, but given the popularity & traffic on the weekends, it may be difficult to secure a spot. I have seen people working/studying here though! Probably would not be a productive workspace for me.

Great coffee, great pastries. reasonably priced :) visiting from Milwaukee but would definitely come back next time I'm in Cincinnati.

Cute place in the heart of downtown Cincinnati! There was a line out the door so if you go on a weekend be sure to arrive early! I had the most delicious chocolate croissant and orange cinnamon roll. I also got the brown butter latte which was AMAZING! Highly recommend!
