Brookville Butcher

I don't think I can say enough great things about the Brookville Butcher! I apologized in advance for taking my sister there for a visit. I told her that if she purchased the cheddar brats that she would end up dreaming about them after they were gone. She called me a few days later after preparing them to tell me that I was right. The meat is affordable, the work area is extremely clean and they such a great variety of fresh meat. It feels like you're rewinding 30 years and going back to an old school deli. I have tried the hamburger mixed with bacon and cheddar, the cheddar brats and the ham salad. Whoa that ham salad it's not your cheap typical processed ham salad. From the freezer case I have also purchased the prepared lasagna they make in small individual servings that you can just pop in the oven yourself and it was great. There's such a cool variety of breaded mushrooms, hot wings and stuffed chicken breasts in the frozen section and things that you could take home for special occasions, parties or just when you want some special items that you typically won't find in a "normal" grocery store in bulk quantity.They also have freezer packs for set pricing where you can go in and buy a certain number of steaks, pork chops, pounds of fresh sausage or pounds of hamburger altogether in a package brown sack that you can just take home and stick in your freezer. I've also started purchasing gift cards here for family members and they always called to tell me thanks at least more than once because it's such a special experience.

Very helpful, friendly and high quality! When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and they are ready to answer any questions you may have. I especially love that they are open on Saturday and Sunday!

We love to come by when we come up to visit our Brookville family when traveling from coastal North Carolina. My Dad is a BIG fan of your ribs and so are we! He always makes a point to put in our rib order for Saturday pick up. We thought our small town of New Bern was friendly, but you all always make us feel right at home. So friendly and helpful. It's so great to have a butcher in town. The meat is fresh, affordable, and delicious. The store is impeccably clean and the staff is SO friendly, helpful and nice. I love that they have fresh produce, eggs, bread, chips, snacks, and products from Amish country. They have the worlds best ham salad. I'm not over exaggerating when I say this- it is the best! Even my picky 3 year old likes it! Our family has had their steaks, a half of a ham, pork chops, smoked potatoes, bacon wrapped pork tenderloin pinwheels, burgers, goetta, deli meats and cheeses, chicken, and tomorrow we will have the cod. Nothing has been disappointing. Check it out if you haven't already!
