I was visiting friends in Cincinnati and wanted to get some wine to take and share. This store, which looked like a state liquor store, had some very good wines at very good prices. I felt very fortunate to have found it

Fave liquor store! Tons of wines from Ohio region plus that fancy shmancy wine to impress your boss. This place has them all! It seems small from the outside but opens up a bit inside to include a tasting room with sipping brandies and wines from around the world. Behind the register, one will find a nice assortment of liquors for an independent shop. I usually buy several bourbons and whiskies and occasionally will go beyond my standard Ketel One. From time to time I enjoy mixing cocktails with flavored vodkas or making the quirky new mule by using UV blueberry. Mixers and rimmers for martinis are also in stock. Domestic and craft beers are also stocked in this hometown shop! If you just can't wait to get home and make your own drink, check out the Lucky Turtle bar out back!

There are not a lot of really excellent liquor stores in Cincinnati given we are so close to the looser restrictions and often wider selection of Kentucky. I consider Brentwood to be one of the great ones in this city. First and foremost, the owner knows his bourbon which always scores points with me. He's led my wife and I down some fine roads and is knowledgable across the board (though most of our conversations have been bourbon focused). The selection (beer, spirits and wine) really excels, parking is easy and getting in and out with what you need is always quick. I've never been there when they've not had at least two people checking folks out. Dual cash registers is a real plus when you're on the move.Take some time and dig around their store. You'll be pleased with what you see especially given their significant expansion into the world of craft beer.

I think I'm a fan. Jeez, I hate to admit I'm a fan of a liquor store! LOLI noticed the place is expanding! The have an entirely new wine room that offers tastings! Very cool indeed. I was interested in checking out the 80 craft beers, but the place is cramped and I was in a hurry. I'm very curious and will be back. If Brentwood Spirits can save me a drive to Jungle Jim's or even Marty's Hops and Vines, I'm there! The staff are very friendly. Parking is not great. I recommend parking to the north of the store rather than trying to jockey for one of the spots near the store.Seeing the new wine room gives me hope. In the future, this place may actually rock.

Hooray for booze!Parking can be an issue. The lot is very small and a bit dangerous even. Add booze to the mix and you have a cocktail for disaster (had to be said).Staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful.Don't use credit unless you're over $25.

All Ohio liquor stores are not created equal. I will only come here again if I am desperate and have no other options. It's robbery how much they charged for a 2 liter soda( $3.79) and they only carry higher price liquor. And not to mention charging you more if you use your card.

Too bad that the friendly owners at this local wine tasting spot didn't hire a more customer friendly, savvy wine master. The burly bald headed guy (didn't get around to his name) was much more pleasant when I met him on Christmas Eve, and said I would be back to try the wine tasting tonight, my first time ever. When I showed up to do that with a bad bottle of Domaine De La Ferrandiere Malbec he did a rather miraculous quick change of character into 'Wimpy' from Popeye (whom he physically favors), swilled down an entire glass of my Malbec and handed the bottle back to me saying "the wine is good, cook with it lady. I am not going to give you good money back for it!". Incredulous attitude from someone who unfortunately for the owners, does not understand the cost of acquiring - or losing - a single customer. If you want a good bottle of wine and are in the vicinity of Brentwood Wine and Spirits, I strongly suggest that you bypass this establishment and visit the Country Fresh Market on Springfield Pike (at Compton) where there is no compromise on excellent service, even at discount prices. The wine selection is always good, and the staff are pleasant and in particular the very knowledgeable Jamie who will always steer you right and take back any bottle that you don't enjoy for any reason. Now that is service worthy of loyal patronage.
