There's no reason to get a breakfast sandwich anywhere else in town. A croissant that just came out of the oven? Fresh fluffy eggs? Bacon... I don't even eat cheese but that would have made it even better. But really, though, the pastries....magnifique! When someone says you MUST try the kouign-Amman, don't snooze on that! They are the most delicate, slightly sweet, buttery bit of deliciousness..! But the raspberry danish and chocolate croissant are also amazing. Their chocolate chip cookie is the closest to the holy grail cookie that I've been searching for snd brings back memories of my childhood and local Italian bakery in the Boston area. Love love the food. The ambience is negligible, and the coffee is ok. But you won't be disappointed with the food!

I've only ordered breakfast from this establishment via UberEats and WOW! Their breakfast croissant sandwich is delicious. It has bacon, egg, and cheese on it and the flavor is evident! Try it out. You won't be disappointed.

I don't recall how I originally learned about Boosalis; I think it was on some award list of best bakeries perhaps? Whatever the reason, I had it on my list of places to try when I was in Dayton early last year, but I wasn't able to make it there that visit. This time around, I couldn't miss out and went in on a weekday morning. Inside, I was greeted by a number of customers sitting around, eating pastries, and sipping on coffee. The pastry case in front was fully stocked with some very delicious looking croissants and other delights. We had a tough time deciding what to get - we wanted to try everything, but we didn't have the stomach space! After pondering for a while, we made our decision.Chocolate Croissant ($3.65) - Two small chocolate batons are baked into this pastry at the bottom, as is tradition. They are not too sweet and add a very nice cocoa richness that works well with the croissant. The rest of the croissant is buttery with well laminated layers that meld together but are also fluffy. The top few layers are crispy and well browned. They flake off easily in buttery flecks. I found this croissant to be pretty cheap for a chocolate croissant from an artisan bakery and overall found this to be a solid chocolate croissant in general. (4/5)Kouign Amann ($2.85) - This kouign amann is pretty small - around 2 inches across. There's melted caramelized sugar surrounding the edges and in a layer on the bottom. Additional sweetness from pearl sugar is added right in the center of the pastry. The pastry is very well laminated, with distinct layers that peel off easily. The dough seems to be salted a bit and has a somewhat bitter flavor to it. It doesn't seem like the dough itself is sweetened at all, so the middle portion is buttery, but not sweet. it's not nearly as buttery as the chocolate croissant though and there's larger air pockets compared to the croissant. There's a good crunch on the outside from both the browned dough and the sugar on the outside. (4/5)I can see why Boosalis Baking and Cafe is popular. Both pastries we tried were solid and I can easily recommend the place if you're looking for something nice for breakfast or just a treat for yourself.

I've been coming here for about 3 months after finding this hidden gem of a bakery, and it's still amazing. They remodeled the entire store, and it looks so spacious and clean... The staff is amazing, with the best customer service I have had in years. So far I've had about 15 things off their menu, and literally nothing compares to the quality of food here! If you need a recommendation to try it, do it, and you won't be disappointed with anything you buy. By far "the" best bakery in Dayton, and most likely the state of Ohio.

The first time we went, the guy at the counter was very rude. When we asked him to repeat one of the items (because we couldn't hear him), he got an attitude and started talking to us slowly, as if we were children. After that we left without ordering anything. We came back and tried again, and the lady at the counter was very nice. We ordered their ham and cheese croissant and got a couple of other pastries. Everything tasted good.

French boulangerie in Dayton, OH. I haven't had their sandwiches but can attest their desserts are legit tasty and very comparable to what I have tried in Europe. Give them a try.

Been here a few times to try different things. Spouse LOVES the scones. He's a very no-fat kind of guy and makes exceptions for their scones! I am in love with their cream puff. Dark choco coating, light bouncy custard inside a thin tender pastry shell. Never had a bad experience here. Staff is always lovely, everything is always fresh. When we want a treat it's a top pick in the area! Will make special trips to Centerville just for them.
