I have not and will not play this course. I am new to the area and wanted to try a new course. I looked online and saw there were many open tee times but figured I'd call to double check availability. I called and was greeted by a nasty off putting employee who continued to tell me I was not able to play because I was a single player. The tee sheet was wide open, I have played golf my entire life and have never had or heard of a course turn someone away when there are endless openings on a weekday afternoon. I told the employee he will never get my business and he proceeded to hang up the phone. Reading through the other comments it seems as though this is a theme at this course.

Covering this review NOT on the golf course is quite easy, it is a friendly and well run facility. Walking the course is an option, as it always should be, but is commonly not-I dislike golf carts, give me a caddie any day. So, I saved $15.00 there and paid $26.00 for 18 holes, that is very reasonable in my experience yet having never tee'd it up in KY before. The rain was light and the course was wet but playable until 5th tee, par 5, eagle opportunity! I totally nailed my tee shot, huge high cut--but the skies were against me and they opened immediately after the ball began its decent, dumping buckets of fat rain upon Boone Links. I wasn't gonna chase down my crappy Bridgestone B6 (decent winter ball) just to turn around and head back to the club house, I think I was as far away as possible at that point. Upon my return to the clubhouse, I was issued a full refund to play again. In NYC you can kiss that greens fee goodbye and in SC its a toss up.What defines a good golf course, as I may have mentioned prior, has a lot to do with the players experience and preferences. I like them firm, fast and long with no water and no trees, so I can bomb tee shots and not suffer penalties, that's not what you can get away with at Boon Links. You really need to manage the course and flight your ball properly as the wind was switching on my constantly. Additionally you have to be part billy goat to navigate and climb the hills, I was sucking wind while trying to get ready for my next shot in some places. Phew!Three nines totaling 27 holes, Brookview and Lakeview are the most challenging and Ridgeview is more for the less experienced player.

We had our wedding here, they have a room for rent for special occasions and I couldn't be happier with them! They really made our special day great and for a great price too! The staff was friendly and helpful the whole time! Highly recommend!!!

Nice little course, played ridge view. It was a cool 9 hole with several par 3s. Came in from out of town, a little late for tee time but in plenty of time for 9 holes. Attendant tried to talk us out of playing and was extremely rude and very put off, to the point where he suggested that we not play the course. Glad we stuck around but not because of the pro shop.

Decent course, taken care of for the most part. The people that work there are very rude. Any questions they are asked are treated with nasty answers and the guests are treated like they know nothing. If they worked on being polite even a little bit this would be one of the top courses in nky.

I am not sure who is rating Boone Links 2.5 stars because somebody in 2017 because he didn't like the club house staff. Boone Links is by far one of the best courses in the Tri State. This year it has been in maybe the best shape ever and I have been playing the course since I moved here in 1986.The new club house is awesome, all new cart paths, when they air rate the greens you can hardly tell with their new system and they are working on all the tee boxes that need it. I would give it a 4.5 and I play 10 to 15 different courses every year within 45 minutes. The only course that I play maybe that is better is Bellterra. Boone is a challenging golf course with 4 of the toughest par 3's you will possibly play on one course, all from 180 to 220 yards from the blue tee's. TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT.

The front desk gives terrible service and rude to customers. Course is decent but not worth the price. I would play other courses close by before dealing with the terrible service

I gave this course a 1 star based off of the employees that work there. I been coming to this course since I was 12 with my father and friends and they are the biggest A**Holes from clubhouse to concession stand. They act like this course is Augusta on Sunday! I have had many altercations with employees and so has my family and friends on how rude they are. Move on and don't bother with this course until they get new management. This is a shame because Brook and Lake are in great shape and are a blast to play. I wouldn't waste my time or money at this place. Go to Kenton, Pendleton or over in Cincinnati, I promise it will be way more enjoyable and just as nice.

I play Boone Links year round, very nice golf course. The layout is fun but challenging. The course is in good condition, greens roll true. Some of the traps could use some work but not a big deal. Friendly staff both inside and out. Definitely recommend.
