Blue Dahlia Events

Blue Dahlia coordinated my sister's wedding, and they said afterwards that "Kate was the best money we spent out of everything. She was a necessity," so we decided to book her for ours as well, and we're glad we did! We got the "two weeks to go" package because our wedding was mostly planned, but we wanted to hand off final vendor communication and day-of tasks so we could focus on family who had come into town early and the day itself. Kate met with us to iron out an itinerary and final decisions, and she could answer every vendor's question at the drop of a hat. Every vendor got consistent information and timely communication, so we didn't have to worry about any confusion. Kate and her assistant made sure everything got where it needed to go, including my guitar (I played a song with the band) and a ton of homemade desserts guests brought as they came (which we had instead of a cake). The two of them checked on us throughout the night without being obtrusive; we've never felt more taken care of. They also made sure everyone got tipped at the end of the night - all we had to do was hand Kate the envelopes. We could go on, but suffice it to say that whenever someone asked us a question, we could confidently say, "Kate and her assistant are handling that." What more can you ask for?

Blue Dahlia was - by far - the best money we spent on our wedding. The team was incredibly well organized and helped us nail down every last detail to perfection. I appreciated how they would help coach us in advance of the big day on what elements mattered most and should be prioritized vs weren't necessary. They were responsive and helped keep track of our vendors in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. Then, they REALLY made magic happen live during the wedding! They kept everything moving exactly on time so we didn't have to worry about it, and they resolved multiple issues as they arose during the evening. They are also lovely people and I will genuinely miss getting to chat with them. I can't recommend Blue Dahlia enough! 11/10.

It was so wonderful to have the Blue Dahlia team help coordinate vendors during the last 6 weeks of planning and take care of all the day-of coordination as well. Wedding planning, for me, was so stressful and this team was always so lovely, reassuring, and efficient to work with. I highly recommend hiring them so you have someone fully devoted to making sure you enjoy your big day. Everyone I worked with, I would happily work with again.

Blue Dahlia is one of the main reasons our wedding day was the most magical and most special day of our lives. When I booked them I couldn't have imagined what an integral part they would play. My husband and I, along with our entire bridal party, were able to simply enjoy the whole day because they had everything covered and more. They alerted us when we needed to do things like cut the cake and always made sure we had food and drink in hand. The Blue Dahlia team provided us with the best possible service and had smiles on their faces the entire time. They were incredible!

From day one, Kate and her team went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our wedding celebration was considered, making helpful suggestions and connections along the way. All correspondence was prompt and friendly. Their willingness to share ideas and advice to make sure that we had the most enjoyable and efficient day possible was so helpful. My stress was alleviated knowing that Blue Dahlia was crafting a timeline for the day, confirming all of our vendors, and ensuring that they had all of the necessary information for the event. This truly took so much stress off of my plate in the days and weeks leading up to our wedding. It allowed me to fully enjoy the experience, knowing that Blue Dahlia would take care of all the little details. I highly recommend Blue Dahlia for wedding coordination services! They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had the wedding of our dreams.

Kate and her assistant were absolutely fantastic. They felt immediately like an extension of our family when met in our first meeting and we slept easier knowing we had her support and eyes on final details. We really felt she went above and beyond what was asked for and we are so grateful to her for that. We truly enjoyed our experience with Blue Dahlia and wish we had events we regularly could plan with her. We couldn't recommend anyone better to trust and coordinate a wedding! I spent a lot of time looking for a planner for our wedding. A good friend referred me to one, however they would not do a sixweek out plan because they said our venue was too complicated to not work from the very beginning. This led me to keep lookingand I found Blue Dahlia. From our first details meeting I knew I was in good hands. We worked with Melissa who we cannotcompliment enough. She is dedicated, detailed, organized, supportive, everything you want from a wedding planner. I felt like Iwas her only bride! My husband and I know our day wouldn't have come close to what it was without Melissa and the BlueDahlia Team. We are giving them 100 stars and highly recommend them to any couple looking for help planning their wedding. Ipromise, you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I agree that deciding to use Blue Dahlia was the best decision we made (other than deciding to marry each other!) during the wedding process. Kate was a dream; down-to-earth, friendly, professional, easy to talk to, decisive, responsive, and extremely helpful. She seemed to always be there when you needed her and acted quickly when things started to go sideways.For example:- The day of our wedding a huge storm unexpectedly appeared. Kate constantly monitored the situation and helped us make the game time decision to move the ceremony from the garden to the tented reception area. She somehow arranged chairs to make the space feel more "like a ceremony" in a small space in record time.- During the ceremony the wind literally picked the tent up off the ground and Kate GRABBED THE TENT POLES and held them, in the rain, for the remainder of the ceremony. I mean, c'mon...that is true dedication and we can't thank her enough.- Anytime we needed Kate she was there, quickly moving things along and solving problems (for example, bringing ginger ale for upset stomachs, providing hair ties for a sweaty dance floor). She was everywhere and always helpful.- Throughout the process Kate was incredibly responsive. She gave us her personal cell phone and texted back immediately whenever contacted.- Kate was friendly and positive, but also decisive & direct. She gave honest advice that was incredibly helpful, such as: how and when to tip vendors, recommended layouts for the ceremony, order of reception events, and many other big and tiny details.Finally, we would just like to say that we could not have pulled off this wedding without Kate. Despite the fact that both of us areorganized planners, there is no way we could have remembered all the critical details and kept things moving smoothly without her. And our wedding day experience would have been much more chaotic, and far less romantic had we tried. In short, we cannot recommend Blue Dahlia enough

WOW!! Blue Dahlia is absolutely amazing! We wanted to just enjoy our daughter's Day- and hiring BDE (3 mos. package)was the best decision ever! They are super chill. organized, funny, always on top of things, and has such a calming presence-she became like family! Always responded quickly and updated the itineraries often- and you can't beat meetings at "Senate"!!! Kate was so attentive to Chelsey-making sure she was eating and drinking water!! If there were any glitches, we certainly weren't aware! All I Know is Chelsey and Louis were grinning from ear to ear all night long-they had the time of their lives and that is what it's all about! Did I mention Kate is Amazing!!!

Kate is the fairy godmother of wedding preparation, strategizing, supporting, and just overall giving her all in making sure her clients have everything they need and want for their wedding day. Her team was amazing! They all seamlessly helped our day flow without a hiccup. Their collaboration gave us a flawless day where we just focused on being present in moments that are now some of our favorite memories. Kate stuck with us and gave us the energy and confidence to continue planning our Wedding during COVID-19 after we had to postpone from April to August. She had our back and never passed judgment on any decision we made. She and her team are in this business for all the right reasons. You know you're working with a pro when your coordinator can take an event of 200+ and adjust down to 60 without hesitation. Kate knew what to do to make the reception still look great and fill the space with a smaller guest list.To quote Kate, the motto that kept coming up when it felt like COVID was going to crash our wedding plans was "we're gonna get you married" Mission accomplished with nothing but happy hearts and a new last name to prove it.
