Bloom OTR

Was really disappointed in the bloom experience, this bar is made to sound like THE drag bar of Cincinnati and it was far from an impressive atmosphere or show. We were there with a group & decided to rent the "obstructed view runway booth". Typically obstructed means it's not the BEST seat in the house but you can see something.. that's as not the case. We literally couldn't see a single performance & ended up moving but I'll get there later. First & foremost, the "runway" was only utilized by one of the drag dancers. As one of the groups paying the most amount of money to be in the bar we were so disappointed that not a single dancer made it far enough on the runway for us to even see them - let alone interact with them. The only people that can actually see the dancers are the large crowds that gathers at the stage & the few tables in front. DO NOT pay for the runway booth - it is not worth it. Overall, service was good! My one woe with the service was I purchased our tickets through the bloom website, it then redirects to event brite, where it very clearly stated that the ticket cost for the runway booth included a bottle of champagne. When I asked for our bottle they said we had to buy one but they'd give us a discount. It took me a few minutes to get the information pulled up and once I did she said she'd get with her manager. We did get our free bottle, but again disappointed I was initially met with pushback. The other drinks we ordered were good with average prices for the location. Because the view from our expensive seat was so bad (like we couldn't see a single dancer or anything!!) we decided to join the free crowd gathering at the stage. Unfortunately, again met with disappointment from people shoving, pouring drinks on others (more than just a splash), etc. I'm an emo girl who has been in mosh pits & I would describe this crowd to be like a mini mosh pit. Not what you typically expect to find in a bar that's community tends to value safety. My friends were so uncomfortable and anxious that they would get hurt they couldn't event enjoy the show. Lastly, the queens barely danced. They would do a cute little 30 second segment dancing, then the next 60 seconds taking $$ from people without interacting or dancing. The cycle repeats with each dancer for about 5 minutes. That is not how good drag show is... a good drag queen is dancing, laughing, playing, interacting, performing, and having fun her entire segment of the show - even while collecting their dollars. That's how it should be. One of the queens was even on RuPual - SO DISAPPOINTING. Next time, I'll be using the money I spent on the runway booth to drive myself to another city so I can watch drag that is SAFE, FUN, and RESPECTFUL.

Show was great - these queens can drop and dance!!Cincinnati is underrated beautiful city.

DRINKS--moderately priced --drinks usually have a nice or decent taste but are often inconsistent between bartenders --need better/easier access to menus and larger portion options ‍ SERVICE --everyone is usually incredibly friendly, approachable, and usually really talented --security is usually AMAZING and both my boyfriend and I feel very safe in the OTR community. I would bet it is the safest gay bar in this area. --bartenders are usually QUICK af when you walk up --the wait staff/floor runners could IMPROVE and need to work on service speed and consistency of providing service by checking in on tables more often AMBIANCE -- depends on the night, but when I go it's a total PARTY VIBE -- safe ENTERTAINMENT -- depends on the night. Thursdays are usually pretty bad while Fridays & Saturdays can be bomb af. LOCATION -- not the greatest/safest area, especially when leaving late at night --awful parking --would LOVE to see this bar move to a larger location or open another one which is bigger with more dancing opportunities

It was amazing! I had a BLAST - the drinks were great, the bartenders were so friendly and fun, the show was incredible, and I will forever be singing Jossie G's praises.

Bloom otr by far the best club and brunch in town! We been there last night and it was amazing! drag show was Las Vegas style we be back soon!

Great service, atmosphere and music. The new upstairs area has a totally different vibe! Definitely worth checking out!

Bar is cute but we parked across the street and our window got smashed and someone stole everything out the car not a good part of town
