My friends and I decided to hit up Blind Bob's last Friday. I was shocked to discover I had to pay for parking at the Oregon District, despite driving a hybrid. I am single-handedly saving the environment. I should have special rights, such as not having to pay for parking. That's not Blind Bob's fault though. While paying the cover to get in, I was disgusted to discover so many people smoking in front of the building and on the patio. Cigarettes should be banned everywhere on the planet. This is unacceptable. The bouncer said people should be allowed to choose whether or not they want to smoke. Look, I am all for freedom of thought and speech, but when it goes against my established personal reality, then your thought and speech really shouldn't exist in society. I'm the most tolerant, accepting, and open-minded person out there. In fact, I'm so tolerant, accepting, and open-minded, that nobody should have opinions that differ from mine. If you disagree with anything in which I believe, you are just closed-minded.Once inside, I felt at home. We all felt comfortable and welcomed. The last couple of places we visited made us feel very uncomfortable. My friend is a gay man, but he identifies as a straight man. He is currently suing himself for sexual assault after a night of masturbating. #MeToo is alive and well in Dayton, Ohio. My other friend is novigender (their gender is so complicated it's impossible to label as a single term). I sometimes identify as a cat. Sadly, even in 2024, it's still very difficult to find a place that accepts everyone/everything. Thankfully, Blind Bob's is one of those places. The only issue we had concerned the bathrooms, which I will address soon.We decided not to get any food or alcohol, since they didn't offer anything that didn't result in the senseless murder of an animal or plant. We used our hands to scoop water from the bathroom faucet to our mouths because we didn't want to support the people who pollute our Earth by making plastic cups. Speaking of bathrooms, I'm sad to report Blind Bob's still adheres to the archaic binary system. There are infinitely many genders, so I know it's not economically possible to accommodate for everyone, but every restaurant should have at least 50 different designated bathrooms to accommodate for the people who identify as the most popular genders. The music was just fantastic! All of the songs by all of the bands sounded the same. It was perfect. We had a great time not being able to hear each other talk over the same chord progressions for three hours. We were really feeling good about ourselves that night. In fact, when they announced that it was last call, we decided to leave my car and just take the 15-mile trip home by foot. We figured it would save precious resources and help reduce even more pollution. It took us five hours to get home, but it was worth it. None of us have jobs, so sleeping until noon isn't an issue for us.Overall, it was a great night! I would advise you not to turn a "blind" eye to this establishment!Cheers!

Hula Rings were too rich for me but damn that's some creative grub--wings were awesome. Dayton is a bit of a bummer city but there's cathedrals all around for those with eyes to see. Like $2 PBR.

Eileen at the door knows how to put those wristbands on perfectly. Not too tight, not too loose, never gets adhesive on your arm hairs, and she is a DELIGHT!Great bar overall.

Amazing little dive with amazing food and great service. We went for brunch on a Sunday and there were so many different menu choices! The hula hoops are a must! They look like onion rings but are actually breaded and deep fried pineapple rings! Yum! I had the monster bowl. Wow! Home fries piled with chili and two over easy eggs. Don't forget the shredded cheese! Yes please!

Bob's is an institution in Dayton! Great music that often features local bands and artists. The pickle soup is amazing! I know, I know that sounds awful but believe me it is delicious. Great waffle fries. The burgers are stellar and not to be missed.

After ditching another local brewery for a couple disappointing, I decided to try this place. Since I walked here, I can't comment on parking but it appeared to be street parking only. There's both inside and outside seating. I sat at the bar and ordered up some deep fried mushrooms and a beer. The mushrooms were pretty good and so was the beer. I know there was at least one TV monitor inside, but there might have been more. This felt like a locals hangout. However, chatting up others at the bar...I felt very welcomed. The staff were nice too. I'd definitely like to come back here again.

We typically go to Blind Bob's for brunch. The food is always great, they have good vegetarian options. The Hula Hoops are AMAZING- trust me and just order. This mid morning in particular, we all had omelets. I had the southwest omelet. The plate weighed about 40lbs it comes with sour cream and salsa on the side. I'd say if you have a hangover this one will cure it. My friends had the veggie omelet and they were both pleased with their choices. Bob's is casual and fun atmosphere. They do music frequently, the staff is down to earth, friendly and ready to get your grub! Highly recommend, even on their off days the food is on point and you will have a great time with friends or family.

Tony and I took a day trip to Dayton..I like History and He likes drinking so he goes to the museums with me and I go to the bars with him. I don't drink but I am the permanent disignated driver so it works out his is the Ying to my Yang or visa versaWe went to Blind Bob's last it was getting close to 4pm and we still had a 3 hr drive home. Its located on 5th Street down the block from Tumbleweed Connection and there are many other little Dive Bars as I call them located here, we will check them out Next time..there is always a next time with us..This is located in the Oregon Historic District of Dayton's downtown area.We parked for free on the street and went inside. I noticed on my way to the bar many cute little shops that I definitely want to check out next time when I have more time.We went inside, Blind Bob's is bigger inside than it looks. Since there are many colleges in the area I know this place is Jamming at night. They have a stage area, and big dining drinking floor area with more than a handful of tables. I love the bright bold colors and funky design in here. Tony noticed all the different Pabst Blue Ribbon Pics and mirrors on the walls. note to self..great christmas present next year for his man cave..aka garage!!The waitress was on duty no real hostess here so we picked a table out of the way of the cold windy doorway. She came over with a menu but I explained we are bar hopping and ate lunch earlier but the menu was amazing I would have definitely tried that Pickle Soup if I was hungry I love to try new things even if I don't finish them. We ordered our drinks Tony got his favorite PBR and I ordered a Coke in highball with Lime and Cherry I like to feel like I am drinking even if I am not..when the drinks arrived No Highball, I guess she forgot but not a biggy. We finished our drinks and was on our way home. I left her a $10 for the $5.50 tab and we were out..Defiinitely will be back to Blind Bob's again and highly recommend. I want to go back just to try that Pickle Soup..
