This place was surprisingly large on the inside. Parking lot was a little small but overflow can go into the neighboring lot or the street. When we went inside, Nick actually greeted us and spoke enthusiastically about the food. We tried a few things and everything was great! The coffee actually came with chantilly cream to put on top. I'd recommend this place if you're in Cleves!

Came here on a Saturday night and wasn't crowded but not a bad crowd. This is the second time I've been here. I didn't have pictures of the first time but I had the fried chicken and the bread pudding and they really good. I really like the fried chicken which had a good crust and was moist. The wife had breakfast with goetta and the goetta what I thought I heard was homemade, don't quote me in that but it tasted like it was homemade. This time I had the blackened bleu bayou burger and the wife had the Italian sub with onion rings. They ask you the temperature you would like the burger and I asked for medium. Chances that the burger is cooked this was long shot and it was slightly over medium but not enough to dry it out. The burger had a very good taste and it was a handmade patty which I like. The bleu cheese had the nice strong taste and you get a bleu cheese dressing on the side. Overall this was a better tasting black and bleu burger that I've had. The wife liked the Italian sub. It was a good size and she thought it was better than what she has had. Onion rings were good. I couldn't tell if they were hand made or if they were premade. They were thick and the onion came out when you bit into them which made me think they were fresh onions. I did get a root beer float. Nothing really special about that.

Average. Hospital cafeterias serve "food" that keeps the patients coming back! Biscuits & Gravy, bacon, soda, hugh fructose corn syrup, dyes, artificial sweeteners, candy, foods that cause cancer, hyperactivity, organ issues! Prices are high, people are nice but they're not aware they are selling heart attacks on a plate. More fruits & veggies to stay outta the ER.

Yet another good visit to Nick's American Cafe. In the past I've had some good dishes both of the breakfast and lunch varieties. On this occasion I tried one of their burgers; the Blackened Bayou Burger. According to the menu it's "served Cajun style, crusted with spices, bleu cheese crumbles, as well as bleu cheese dressing on the side. The burger itself was perfectly cooked and had tons of flavour. Add in both the crumbles and the dressing and it made for a dynamite sandwich! It was stellar bleu cheese dressing too obviously made in house. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The plate came with potato chips which was fine but not that exciting. All in all another great experience at Nick's I continue to highly recommend it.

This is a very nice restaurant to have a long 3 hour lunch with a girlfriend that you needed to catch up with!!!

The food is sooo good I got a crispy chicken sandwich and fries I love the breading for the fries! My dad has super good onion rings and the chicken sandwich was so juicy yes yes yes!

Friendly staff. Good food. I don't love that the sweet tea is almost $4, but i guess that's typical now. It's a nice little local spot

Great job taking care of our crew food was great service excellent. Great breakfast choices.

Had lunch. Squash soup and club sandwich. Both very good. Service good. No walleye on the menu anymore. But everything else seems up to par.

Very made my Granddaughter order chicken fingers add if she could substitute the French fries and Cole slaw for onion rings and mash potatoes she said sure when the bill came was charged $3 for mash potatoes and $2.00 for onion rings ,never said to us she was up charging no discount on meal it cost us $19 for that meal never going back
