Great food and service. Best original margarita I've had! We had 2 adults, 4 kids and never felt like an inconvenience to the staff.

A little underwhelmed by this spot after people in town raved about it. The vibe is super cozy and quaint, especially with it decorated for Christmas. The service was ok and we didn't feel like the hostess or our server was very friendly. My friend enjoyed her breakfast burrito but my food was pretty bland (I got a typical breakfast entree with biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon, etc.) Coffee was good but oddly lukewarm every time they topped off my cup..?The other confusing part of our experience was at the bar, which is a separate entrance/area next to the restaurant. It's super small but adorable, so we walked over to sit and have a mimosa while we waited for our table to be ready. One bartender was very nice, the other ignored us for almost 10 minutes before finally getting our drink order. We knew she was busy making cocktails for the restaurant guests, but it felt uncomfortable not being greeted or told she'd be right with us. A few other people popped in while we were in there and they were awkwardly turned away..? There was plenty of room for at least 2 or 3 more people to sit at the bar, so we weren't sure why they weren't more welcoming or open to people doing what we did while they waited to be seated? It was just strange and made us feel out of place, like we shouldn't have even been in there. We'll probably try a different brunch place if we ever go back to Nashville!

We arrived in Nashville on a weekday, Friday, and headed straight to the Bird's Nest, which sounded like the best option for our GF and vegan lifestyles. The waitress was helpful in helping determine options since there were few. We both chose egg whites, avocado, black beans and corn tortillas. The food was OK. I found it odd that the beans were underneath the tortillas, which were hard, making it awkward to break apart the tortillas for a bite size piece. Would have preferred the beans between or on the flat tortillas, or even better, all the ingredients in a bowl with a few chips instead of the tortillas. But it is a nice atmosphere, eclectic vibe and friendly staff.

We had passed by the beautiful gardens leading the Bird's Nest so many times. This time we decided to stop in and give it a try. We ordered the avocado turkey sandwich and it was delicious. As we sat outside watching the bees and other pollinators move in and out of the flowers, it was difficult not to be mesmerized by the view. Before we left, I stopped into the small bar next to the restaurant. They were getting ready to close (which was a real bummer since it was a Tuesday around 2:00pm...lol), but the owner and bartender took time to tell us more about the restaurant and their history. We were also very impressed by their vast selection of cocktails in the bar!

This is my second time coming to Bird's Nest Cafe and I love it. I went on a Saturday and it was definitely busy trying to get to Nashville. I called to let them know that I would be late for my reservation and they were very understanding & held our table. When we got there, we were immediately attended to but the food did take a while to come out due to the large amount of people in the restaurant. The place is so cute and feels homey. I love it! The food was also delicious. This is my second time getting the avocado Turkey sandwich. The pretzel bun is such a great addition to this. The blueberry lemon pancakes were very yummy and not overly sweet. I definitely recommend splitting a sweet and savory plate! I will obviously be back.

What a charming place.... This little house is surrounded by a beautiful garden. I recommend seating outside. There is a cute gazebo with a table for 6. And as a plus, you can bring your dog if seating outside. All the staff were amazing to my dog!We had brunch and the food is delicious. The quiche was fluffy on the inside with a crunchy bottom. Cappuccino was also made to perfection.

The Bird's Nest Cafe is locally owned and located in an old house in the heart of Nashville. There is a nice flower filled courtyard on the way into the restaurant that is an option for eating outside during warmer weather. Dogs are welcome in the courtyard. We were greeted when we entered, in fact the hostess opened the door for us and welcomed us to a table. My granddaughter was given a kid's menu that also doubled as a coloring page along with some crayons to keep her occupied. The menu offers breakfast and lunch options with a great selection of vegetarian options. The food came out after a short wait. My granddaughter had the grilled cheese with fresh fruit. The sandwich was large and probably could have used a little more cheese. The fruit (grapes and apple) were cut up nicely. She was happy. I had the Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich with rosemary fries. The sandwich had a grilled chicken partial breast with an intense Swiss cheese, refreshing cucumber slices and a lot of aioli. The ciabatta is quite large and fresh. The shoestring potato's were good. They have a full bar and offer specialty cocktails. They also have a full coffee bar. Our server checked was attentive and checked on us regularly. The tables are pretty close together and seem to be in a traffic pattern that had people constantly walking pass us. I would ask for a booth next time. There is limited and coveted street parking, so go early.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the whole area. I would probably drive over here for the day just to eat lunch here. They have many vegan and vegetarian options. In addition to the amazing regular options. They have a small cocktail bar and wine and beer. It's also right in the heart of downtown. They do close early. Make sure your name is on the waitlist by 1:30 p.m. The garden is beyond magnificent. It reminds me of something of a movie. There are often long waits. Tons of street parking or when it's busier in October, you can pay five bucks and Park and one of the paid lots. I. Live. This. Restaurant.

Super cute cafe in the heart of Nashville,In. We went on a Sunday morning around 11am for brunch. There was a 45 minute wait which we didn't mind, so we shopped around until our table was ready. Very cute and artsy vibe inside. Our hopes were high. They were quick to take our order but then unfortunately we waited a minimum of another 45 min to get our orders. As we waited we were both assuming it would be well worth the wait. Our waitress did come over about half hour in to let us know a large party had ordered right before us so ours was being prepared now. Great. Upon receiving our food we were both severely disappointed. Both of our eggs were cold. Not lukewarm;Ice cold and tasted like they had been sitting around a while. Nothing had any flavor and we were shocked. Even the biscuits and gravy were completely flavorless. We were so frustrated and starving by then. That we didn't say anything. Neither of us ate even half our meal and then I went and asked the server for our bill. Nobody asked how anything was, and not even a goodbye or have a nice day as we walked out. Maybe it just was an off day but I wouldn't wait that long to try it again..
