This place is so cute, a little fun vibe that fits a college town. We tried the chicken teriyaki, Hawaiian burger, chicken katsu sandwich. Somehow an extra box had been made and we were given it, which had spam, eggs and sushi rice. I really like the sticky rice with the sauce that tastes like spicy mayo and eel sauce. Everything was great and prices were excellent. High Yelp reviews led me here and I agree!

Big Kahuna continues to please. Was craving a burger and decided to try the Big Kahuna Burger. It did not disappoint. Perfectly grilled with Swiss, bacon and charred pineapple and a generous side of their macaroni salad, it hit the spot. This place is a keeper. 120

We recently went to the Clays Mill Road location. All plates come with Plates are served with macaroni salad and sticky rice dressed with house chili sauce, spicy mayo, and sweet soy. My wife had the Spam and Eggs, which is grilled Spam with two over eggs. She had the Avocado Fries, battered avocado spears with spicy mayo, sweet soy and house chili sauces I had the Katsu, which consists of panko fried pork dressed in spicy mayo, sweet soy, and house chili sauce that is incrediable. The service is first-rate and combined with a true Island feeling. The atomsphere is great, very welcoming, and an excellent example of the Polynesia culture and a great ambiance to the place that is very welcoming and inviting.

If I lived closer, Big Kahuna would be a regular meal choice for me. The food was fantastic, and the restaurant itself was a cool setting. I ordered the kalua pork plate and musubi. Would honestly be able to split a plate, as the portions were pretty large, but I didn't mind having leftovers. Appreciated the staff and environment while we waited for our takeout. Clearly a team that enjoys their jobs and I'd definitely recommend making a trip to check this spot out.

Ordered Big Kahuna through Door Dash for a Hawaiian movie night at home.First - we love Big Kahuna! It is such a unique place for Lexington!I am going to say, door dash was a miss for this order. I think the food was too warm and there was way too much sauce on everything, so the macaroni salad was warm and everting was too saucy. The pork katsu was still delicious, as was the spam musabj. Coconut shrimp was a bit overdone, but still tasty with the sweet chili sauce. Definitely don't pass this place up!

My husband and I were on our way home to Cincy from a trip to Red River Gorge and were starving after a long hike. A quick Yelp search showed that Big Kahuna was one of the top spots to eat in Lexington. We love Hawaiian cuisine, so we decided to stop. SO glad we did. The parking is a little awkward as you have to pass the restaurant to get to the lot, but it's plenty spacious and only a very short walk to the front door. My husband got the kalua pork plate and I got the coconut shrimp plate. We also got some masubi to split. We were impressed with the prices and loved our food! The rice on the lunch plates comes dressed with sweet soy and spicy mayo and it was great to have that added flavor to the white rice. The mac salad is simple, but exactly as it should be for Hawaiian mac salad. The kalua pork was flavorful and moist. The coconut shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. The musubi was not the best I've ever had, but I still enjoyed it! I jsut felt the spam was a little different than what I am used to. Would still get it again. The Hawaiian BBQ sauce is good-- sweet and tangy. The inside is CLEAN and decorated so fun. The staff were super friendly and made the experience that much better.I am so excited to have found this great spot in Lexington and will certainly stop again on trips to the RRG.
