Big Dawgz at the Lake

Have eaten here twice with my hubby. Nice lodge on the lake ambiance. Both times we got burgers & fries. The burgers were pretty good & the fries were hot. My main complaint is that we waited 30 minutes for our food both times. Guessing they're short on staff. I'm looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Big Dawgz have great food. I got wings and poppers, my hubby got the Italian sub and onion rings, my bro-in-law got pork S and which and cheese broccoli fried. It was delicious. The service is the best and very friendly invirement.

The 2 pizza we ordered were great! Very friendly staff. Kids had a pool table and ping pong to play while waiting !

Big Dawgz is great! Especially if your looking for some good ole fashioned bar food without the bar. Their location is unique as they used to be a bar in Camden Ohio that moved to the lodge located in the gated community of Lakengren just southwest of Eaton Ohio. When they moved they brought the food with them and left the bar behind. Plenty of things to try! The pizza is spot on and the jimmy breadsticks are good as well. They do only serve two types of wings spicy and regular. The wings are enormous and breaded with Henny Penny batter. The spicy are then covered with a Nashville hot rub. There's a long list of all the classic appetizers you would find at a bar but my two favorite were the mini taco's and the Broccoli Cheddar bites. The staff is awesome and super friendly.

It's so simple for me to pop in for a late lunch or early dinner. I eat simple and simply get a pop, burger and salad... and an ice cream bar. For a hole in the wall, small resturant Big Dawgz can't be beat. Prices are very reasonable, the "ambiance" can't be beat: it's on a lake! but don't go at a busy time. They have a small kitchen and a large menu so when they are busy it takes some time. Good FOOD, friendly SERVICE and resort AMBIANCE

Great food and great people! Their pizza is amazing! And their chicken wings have the Henny Penny coating on them... YUM! Definitely recommend if you're ever near Lakengren!
