Started out with the Garlic knots, OMG!!!!They are absolutely fantastic!Hot, garlicky, swimming in butter & Parmesan!!Ended with a Deluxe Pan Pizza. Very well made, crust was crunchy, & overall just delicious!Service was fast & friendly! The atmosphere was quiet & conversational, with the video games humming & beeping in the background!

Owner was there to take our order. He was super helpful and got my grandson exactly what he wanted for lunch. It was easy for me to sit and wait for food while my grandson looked at the video games. Fun and family oriented.

WARNING! STAY AWAY FROM THIS POORLY RAN ESTABLISHMENT! It's set up literally for Takeout only. I've never been so disgusted and disappointed in a restaurant in my 59 years on this planet.NOTE: Upon walking in the restaurant around lunch, I was puzzled why they barely had customers dining in the dining room. I'd done a pickup order a couple of months before today and wondered why then. Little benonced to me, my curiosity was about to be answered in more ways than one. First off, they literally have children working there. The kid, who later I found out was a manager that took my order, looked like he was barely 18. I took my first date here thinking it was a good idea for a 1st date! WRONG!!!!! The dining room was filthy. Carpet nasty. A mop was sitting out leaning up on a booth inches from where people were eating. What was even more scary is that it seemed to not even bother them. After getting our napkins and paper plates and seating ourselves, we realized there were no eating utensils. I asked the worker for some, and he said they were out.30 minutes goes by, and our Chicago deep dish comes out steanlming hot. We literally had no way of scouping pieces onto our plates because it was too hot. And the pipping hot sauce sits on top of the pizza. So we had to wait another 15 minutes for it to cool to get it onto our plates. During this time, the kids working here were playing with the music over the intercom. While all along about every 60 seconds, this 1990s NBA Jam arcade game would sound off. The mop I mentioned is still sitting on the carpet next to the table of a young couple. I'm totally embarrassed by my choice to take my date here. And even more embarrassed for this restaurant. My date gets up to use the bathroom, which gave me an opportunity to go up to the manager and complain. I told him there was no reason not to have utensils out. And he could easily go to the Dollar Tree nearby and buy some. After giving him a lesson on stepping up taking initiative, He gave me some lame excuse why he couldn't. I then asked him to follow me to the table that had the filthy mop sitting out. He reluctantly did. And seemed to be surprised to see it there. (Why would there be a nasty mop leaning up against a table on the carpet with people eating at it, I ask?) Nothing. No, I'm sorry, no, let me refund your order, nothing. My date and I sat there for 2 hrs just talking and never ate our $32.00 pizza. During that time, someone carried a bag of plastic utensils past us. I assume they went to the dollar tree and bought them. This place is a disaster in more ways than one! Highly unsanitary and has children playing on their cells working there.

I have to update this review because the manager handled my problem so well. Super nice when I stopped by to pick up my pizza tonight. They gave me a credit after my problem a few days ago. My Chicago style pizza is as delicious as the last one. My wife loves the cookie. I'll definitely be back. Maybe I'll only do pickup unless I know they have an in house driver to deliver.

We ordered a to go pizza from Big City Pizza. I did not actually go to pick the pizza up. The pizza we got was a large one topping pepperoni pizza. I enjoyed the pizza as did everyone else in my family. The large fed the three of us and we were full. We would order another pizza from them and did enjoy our dinner.

We love Big City Pizza! We have ordered several menu items and all have been consistently delicious and quality in bake, freshness, and taste. Our favorites are the calzone (any of the flavors!) as well as the stuffed pizza (pictured). Service is always friendly and quick whether we order to-go or dine in. We will definitely continue to dine here!

A Tale of Big City:We came here for Lexington Burger Week and this is one of the nastiest meals I have ever had. We wanted two Burger Week burgers and a side of fries. We were told they weren't making anymore fries for the night at 730. So we opted for a side of pretzel bites instead. Burgers come out. Cold. We really don't like to complain (I know, despite this review). But we figured maybe it was just us. Until the table next to us won't finish their burgers. And then a lady across the room is asking for it to be remade because hers is cold. We're about 25 minutes in at this point. Finish the burger. No pretzel bites. Wait another 10 minutes. No pretzel bites. I go up the counter, the girl check on them with the food staff where she tells the gentleman they were supposed to have mild sauce with them. He said 'just give them beer cheese'. I assumed they were out. No one asked me what I wanted. Just gave it...Went back to the table and opened them up. 1, not convinced they were the pretzel bites because, well, they weren't pretzels. No menu pictures, but I think they were garlic knots. 2, It was raw dough and they weren't baked through. Save your money and avoid at all cost. Even for burger week. It's disgusting.

Went in for the "Lexington pizza week" special, which is advertised as either a 10" pizza (which Big City offers) or 2 "XL" slices (I can not find by-the-slice pizza on their menu). For somewhere like Goodfellas, where the slices are bigger than a dinner plate, the latter would make sense, but from the pictures on the Pizza Week site and in consistency with their menu, you'd expect a whole 10" pizza. Instead, we get two relatively small slices: easily covered with one hand; about on par with a normal slice from Little Caesar's or any other major chain, and not what I would consider "XL." Just look at the attached photos. This puts them at $5 PER SLICE for something smaller than my hand. Again, at Goodfellas, which isn't a particularly cheap place, you can get a massive slice that covers two paper plates for $4, so this is an insanely poor value, especially during an event, where most places understand that they're offering a discounted special to attract new business; we've found so many other wonderful restaurants in town from these events over the years, but Pizza Week seems like it might be a bust. The main reason for the one-star review, though, was the "customer service." I called them on my way home, asking if there was some sort of mistake, and the person on the phone argued with me about the size of the slices, would not offer a refund, and when I said "$5 per slice is pretty absurd," she abruptly yelled "I'M NOT THE OWNER, SO I APPRECIATE IF YOU WOULDN'T CUSS AT ME" (I hadn't done any swearing the whole time, which was an achievement on my part), and immediately hung up.It's a pretty great start to Pizza Week. I will absolutely not be giving them my business again, especially when you can get a better deal (and better-tasting pizza) at any of a dozen local joints year-round, or indeed just about any cheapo national chain. Probably going to stick to Puccini's or Smashing Tomato next time we want something fancier than Pizza Hut; I've never had a bad thing to say about either.

Great atmosphere and great service but when I went to eat any slice of pizza from my pie, the toppings would slide off along with the cheese and it just became a mess from there

We were delayed by traffic and facing no dinner after a very long day of driving. Big City Pizza came through with a strong menu, easy online ordering and delivery to our hotel! The delivery was right on time and the salad fresh, the pizza hot and delicious Great experience!
