Best Thing Smokin

The banging shrimp tacos were fantastic! Just the right amount of heat (I'm pretty middle of the road for spicy food) and the light breading on the shrimp was perfect! Thanks for an awesome dinner!

I really don't know if it was a bad day, but I was so disappointed when eating my grilled chicken tacos. After this experience, I don't think I'd be willing to try this food truck again. I was excited to try them, because I saw they won 2nd place at Taste of Cincinnati in 2017. I guess either the quality of their food heavily decreased since then or maybe their equipment wasn't working today?They serve the tacos cold. The tortilla shell was not warmed and was slightly cold as if it had been refrigerated prior to serving. The chicken and all the rest of the ingredients were cold as well. The overall texture was awful with an overly chewy tortilla shell and chicken. The flavor of the tortillas tasted store bought and not homemade. The only redeeming piece of this meal was the chicken. The flavor was great and I'm sure it would even be better if it was warmed.Overall, I am sad I paid $9 for two tacos that honestly have been one of the most unsatisfying tacos I've ever tried. I definitely do not plan on trying this food truck again.

Enjoyed two tacos from here when they were working the Lebanon Blues Festival. I decided to order one fish taco and one shrimp taco. Both taste good and as expected, however I decided to cover one in pineapple habanero sauce just because it was available. Speedy ordering and item took about three minutes to receive, which is acceptable. Next time I'll sample a smoked bbq entree. Good service, Speedy service, good taste. and Look forward to seeing them at the Union Centre Food Truck, maybe ?!?

Omg the shrimp tacos!!! These were seriously the best I've had. The shrimp were crispy and super flavorful with a little spice, then topped with a creamy chipotle slaw. The pulled pork fries were also really good. The fries were hot and crispy and topped with a very generous portion of pulled pork, bbq sauce, and cheese sauce. Can't wait to run into this food truck again! Super friendly staff as well!

We ran across this food truck at the hot air balloon festival. Oh my God it was so good. The shrimp taco was to die for and I am actually craving one right now. It wasn't too spicy but it had just enough seasonings to make it a true bang bang shrimp. Everyone that worked there was so nice and I am now following them on Facebook so I can eat there again. If you happen to see them out I highly recommend that you get the shrimp tacos

We were delighted to find Best Thing Smokin' in our neighborhood tonight. The people working inside were warm, welcoming, and professional. We were able to order our food ahead, so we only had a couple minutes wait while they pulled the order together. We had fish and shrimp, fries, and slaw, and all were excellent and reasonably priced for the amount of food. Hot, crispy, seasoned--everything you want in comfort food. It was super tasty; I highly recommend!

During lunchtime, I wanted some comfort food, (and Downtown...that's not very easy!) After a while of walking around food trucks and looking at their menus, I stopped by this one. Menu: There were at least 8 menu items listed, so selection was decent.Food: I ordered the fried fish (tilapia) and fries basket lunch ($8). It was truly one of the best lunches I've had in a VERY long time. Everything was fresh and piping hot, just the way I like it.Atmosphere: I was on the Square about 12:30 pm, which means the area was crowded with people. The food truck itself was very clean, which was a personal plus.Service: The service was very good. I was updated about my food by the person who took my order. I received the food about 10-12 after I ordered it, and they were friendly.Summary: This is one food truck I can recommend without a second thought. The service and food has me eagerly waiting for them to return Downtown.

If you've ever gotten lost in the French Quarter and come across a place with down home goodness and food that matches, then you've tasted 'Best Thing Smokin'. Their Creole inspired dishes will provide a window to the great bistros in NOLA. I had the pork sliders and the shrimp tacos...then I went back for more shrimp tacos. I was remiss to catch the family's name, but they have figured it out. I look forward to more of their great food in future events. Maybe next time Dad can make his famous ribs.

If you see this food truck near you you gotta check it out. I loved the shrimp tacos. My wife highly recommends the loaded pulled-pork fries.

Ate pulled pork fries and it was the most disappointing dish that i have eaten. 8 dollars for tiny container of fries, sprinkled with pulled pork and topped with disgusting taco cheese.
