This is not the Behringer-Crawford Museum from my youth! It's still a special place, but it seems like it has come into its own.I have fond memories of celebrating my grandparents' 50th anniversary at the museum, visiting during weekend trips to Devou Park and attending Girl Scout camps. The museum also once had a family heirloom on display. It had been maybe 20 years since I last visited, and I met my family at the museum last week to see the White Christmas exhibit. And what I found was a museum that has been renovated. It boasts the old street car and two-headed calf like before but now has more complete exhibit areas. I especially love the giant train set (was that there 20 years ago?) and special exhibit area. Excited to bring my kids to Behringer-Crawford so they can make their own memories.

My friend and I spent a few hours exploring this beautiful museum. It has trains trains and more trains. You walk in and see a display of downtown of yesteryear. There is a Lego playroom and more trains with lots of interactive buttons. The reason we went was for the display for the movie White Christmas. You could sit in a red convertible and watch the movie, see the many elaborate costumes and learn about the actors directors and fun tidbits. It's a great show and runs through January 8. The cost is 9 dollars. Well worth it

From April through July, Behringer-Crawford Museum presents a Summer Concert Series on Thursday nights. The stage is set in the garden with plenty of seats, plus guests can bring their own lawn chairs, or sit on one of the many concrete ledges amongst the landscape. For $5.00, guests can enjoy two hours of live music. The event is catered by one of my favorite restaurants, Colonial Cottage, serving up coleslaw, hot dogs and other summertime staples. Beer, soda, and coffee is also available for purchase.Tonight I saw Eight Days A Week, a Beatles Tribute Band. The band was wonderful and sounded just like the albums. They even wore costumes. For the first hour, they played as "Young Beatles" wearing the traditional black suits. For the second half, they changed into Sgt. Pepper attire. Eight Days A Week played all the well known hits, and threw a few less popular songs into the mix. They had terrific interaction with the crowd, getting everyone to sing along or get up and dance. The concert was suiting for Behringer-Crawford's debut of their new exhibit on The Beatles visit to Cincinnati. The museum was open for guests to explore. It was exciting to be one of the first people to see the collection, which included three Beatles guitars and drum set, a rare rainbow guitar, many Beatles knick-knacks and collectibles, and photography of their visit to Cincinnati. In addition, there is a life-size portrait of the Abbey Road scene for visitors to take a photo with. While the band was a lot of fun, I had to bump the review down to four stars because the museum ran out of food 30 minutes prior to the concert even starting. There were also several audio problems throughout the performance due to improper cord placement. Guests kept stepping on the wires, which would knock them out of sync. There are a few more shows left this season at Behringer-Crawford. Check out their website for the details!http://www.bcmuseum.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50&Itemid=90Things To Bring: - lawn chair - bottled water - cash; $1's and $5's - Off bug repellant (I like the clip-on) - Sunglasses - Camera - Walking shoes (Parking near the museum is limited, so you may have a 5-10 minute walk from a side street.)

Interesting! 4 floors, each representing the history of different means of transportation (trains, cars, boats) and lots of local history. I especially liked the old Buick Electra in a kind of drive-in theater and the small historic tram wagon.

I've been here twice for a work conference (they have a nice conference room available upstairs), so my experience is a little limited. However, I was able to tour the building during breaks and it's really a cool little museum. I love the Covington/Cincinnati miniature display (you can crawl in from the side and stick your head up in a dome for a close up view)! Great for history buffs, train enthusiasts, museum lovers and kids. Definitely a place to check out on a rainy day.. or a nice day as part of your trip to Devou Park.

This place consist of three floors that are very well put together about the local history of the area. The train display alone is well worth the visit! Other reviewers have gone into more details so I will simply agree with them and urge to visit should you find yourself in the area.

I went to see the shrunken head and 2 headed calf. Saw those, learned a few things, and had fun looking at all the people in an old time display and imaging their jobs.Staff was great.
