Bought six months of meat, cut to order right before our eyes. They threw in chicken breasts, pork chops and roasts, french fries, pasta, vegetables, breakfast bacon and sausage. We were almost giddy with the purchase. The items completely filled up an unused freezer down in our garage. In the past two days, we have had two of the sirlon steaks (very good, USDA choice), made a crock pot of low-carb beef stew, had some BLT sandwiches (bacon packages were included in the purchase too), made 2 lbs of taco meat for tacos and taco salad, and have two club steaks marinating for use tomorrow.Highly recommended. Professional people, too.

Here's the best indicator that there is trouble brewing there...... We showed up for an appointment yesterday and A) the place is locked up, B) Nobody called to cancel our appointment and C) there is a handwritten sign taped to the locked door saying "Hey! Do not re-key these locks without my permission!" LOL!!!

what a scam, they talk fast and cut fast you really cant tell what your getting until your home and unpacking the meat. the deal was supposed to be equal to a whole cow, about 325lbs of meat with 3/4 of it being steaks. After home and unpacking we ended up with 7 ribeye, 8 ny strip, about 5 sirloin, and a bunch of swiss and round steak. Talked to them about the lack of cuts and was told they would make it right. that was another fail as they gave my wife 15 more ribeyes = to 13lbs of meat, this is the 50 to 75lbs of meat promised on the phone. If you are not a butcher dont bother with these rip off artist.

Buyer beware! We received a flyer in the paper to get 100 lbs. of beef for 150.00. Many "freebies" were also thrown in to the deal. My husband went to check it out and was told he was buying 225 lbs. of beef for 750.00. We had purchased beef before (100 lbs. for approx. 400.00) so this didn't seem too bad. He brought the meat home and we loaded it in the freezer. I didn't feel like we had gotten 225 lbs. so I weighed it on a food scale. With not weighing all of our "freebies" (chicken, pork, bacon, veggies, etc.) we actually got 83 lbs. of beef. So the beef they advertise for 1.50 a lb. actually cost us $9.00 a pound. When my husband called to question them they basically told him "too bad". The flyer is a way to get you in, but as you can see they don't deliver on what they advertise and they try to upsale you. I hope this post prevents anyone else from getting "taken" like we were!

I also went to Beeftown for the $1.49 per pound deal. I knew it going in that it would be considered hanging weight. They did not have any meat at $149.99 for 150 pounds like they had advertized on the flyer. It was more like buying a used car than food. We got our deal and I use those words loosely, for $500. They started our price at $599, then when my husband said we should leave they said since we were the last customers of the day what about $500, my husband started adding up what he thought the weight of the meat laying on the table and said that was still to much for what was there. So they added some more steaks and we agreed to buy. Also the freebie's were not so free because when we got home we also weighed our purchase, but with the freebie's and we got a better deal than $9 per pound. Our deal was more like $4.50 per pound or $3.00 per pound with the so called freebie's.My biggest problem is they have no scales to weigh anything, so how can they sell by the pound? They also sell it to you like a used car and the funny thing is I used to sell cars and it sure seemed like that to me. They also have you sign something that they do not give a copy of saying "that you were not forced to buy and you agreed to buy on your own" (think why would you have to have customer sign such a document if it they were totally in the up & up) Another point is, if we had not started to walk away from this great deal it would have been the $7 per pound. So all in all, not the "great deal" they had advertized, but a good deal. The meat is tasty and it was cut in front of us. If you go take a scale and negotiate your price. I may go again, but will take my luggage scale with me:-)

These guys are definately scammers. Do not do business with them!!!!! I never thought I would fall for anything like this but boy are they good. They bait you in with the AD and they they work their magic. I am a College Graduate and run a multi million dollar business and they were able to get me. It is absolutely amazing that they can pull this off. When you play Monday morning quarterback, you go, "How could I be so stupid?" You think your getting a great deal as you walk out with so many bags but then when you weigh it at home, you got screwed. How could I be so stupid to buy from someone that didn't itemize the bill???? They prey on people that are trusting. I went to Meijer and looked up the price of everything that I bought and multiplied it by the weight. I overpaid by over $1000. I went back to the store. (which was closed), and met another man who got duped too. These guys haven't heard the last of me or him! I will do whatever it takes to ensure these guys are run out of business.
