Beaugard's Southern BBQ

Get it while you can!My wife and I stopped by Beaugard's on our drive from Lancaster to Cincinnati. It was only a couple of minutes of Hwy 22.We are so happy we stopped!!!The brisket was phenomenal. It was super tender and had a wonderful charcoal seared flavor. We had a great conversation with the owner who let us know he is reiring in a few months, so your time to enjoy this fantastic bbq is running out.We are planning a trip back up to Wilmington just to eat there again.

Hrmmm.... Let's just say we have made the trek to this store two times in the past and they were closed for various reasons. I'd read the reviews on how they sell out of brisket early in day so we planned this trip (we called to make sure they were open) and planned on being there around 530p for dinner. Remember they open at 4p... we get there, i go to order my 'go to' and eagerly anticipated brisket and am told that it's not ready yet? Okay. Kind of brain boggled. I order chicken and pork instead for The nice girl running the register. The chicken was okay, the pork was better than the chicken? Would I order either of these again? Nope. I really had an issue with no brisket? The lady who was also at the register was trying to explain the logic to me on if I had preordered the brisket, it would have been ready for me? Preorders preceded orders at the counter so they need to fill those before but remember, it's 530 and brisket not ready So... I stood at the counter trying to understand the logic of this, I'm sure I was annoying her to no end but then owner and I'm guessing his son sitting easily within hearing distance did nothing to help her or myself understand this? If you're open at 4p, why not just have brisket ready to go at that time? So we sat and ate our chopped chicken and pork inside at the tables with not one mention of brisket being available for us. I'd love to support these folks. This is the kind of place we should all be supporting but sure made it hard for me to want to come back. All the meat is chopped? They add sauce to the meat so if you're like us, ask for the sauce on the side.

Terrific barbecue. You should definitely stop by for dinner or lunch. Outstanding service and friendly. It was a winner on our list.

The food was fantastic. Great ribs, tasty side dishes, and homemade hush puppies. The staff was very friendly and the owner came out and checked on us as well as everyone in the restaurant.

It's good for the soul. Tasty and served fresh. Good people. Location has good parking.

I've been several times when I stop in for work. Always the brisket for me. I will say the sides are a bit lackluster IMO but I'm not really there for the sides. I want the brisket. I love that you can smell the smoker before you hit the parking lot.

Just remember. You get what you pay for. OK since it has to be 85 characters I will keep going. The hush puppies were decent. The baked beans and macaroni and cheese were mediocre best. The brisket was fatty and had no flavor. The ribs were fatty and tough. The sauce is like pure vinegar. To each their own tho. One mans trash and is another man's treasure.

Best BBQ I've had, hands down. Wonderful owner and family ownership. Lots of side options. We liked the coleslaw and hush puppies. Pork and chicken were great and had to get some extra BBQ sauce! Great experience and we will return!

Great food! very reasonable prices. The brisket was chopped, seasoned well. the coleslaw was a little heavy on the vinegar, but not unable to eat. id totally eat here again!

Don't let the outside fool you if your not looking you might pass it! Stopped in and got the lunch special and it was very good and I'm used to a chain called city barbecue and this is way tastier! Super friendly service will be coming back!
