Bear Paddle Swim School

We absolutely LOVE Bear Paddle! We've been doing weekly classes. We also did the spring camp. My boys have learned sooo much this year to prepare for summer - but it goes so much deeper. My youngest has been able to combat so many sensory issues. My oldest has benefited by swim boosting his confidence. We are so thankful for the incredible instructors. They make the boys feel so comfortable. Highly recommend!!

My 3 yr old takes level 1 lessons here w Mr Duncan. Wow this man has a lot of energy and patience! He is very good with the little kids keeping the lesson moving but fun hearted. My 3 yr old is 8 wks in and has made great progress being comfortable in the water. He's still a ways off from truly learning to swim but for his age I feel water confidence is most important. I have 2 younger kids and it is so easy to take the entire herd to swim lessons. They have a window room overlooking the pool with tables and a tv for any other kids you have with you. There is a large family style room with private showers, changing areas as well as men/women's restroom. This place is always incredibly clean and picked up. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always making sure the tv is on in the "observation" room for my toddler. They keep lessons running on time and every time I've called I've be able to get an immediate response. The lessons are pricey but I feel the high quality staff, facilities, and amenities are reflected the price. I've tried the YMCA and the J for swim lessons before and while they are cheaper, for us they were not on the same level experience as Paddle Bear.

My 2 year old has been at Bear Paddle since they opened in February. Pros: The staff is very friendly and great with kids. My son has gotten more comfortable in the water.Cons: They incorrectly billed me for lessons. When I brought it to their attention, they acknowledged their mistake but told me they could only give me a credit to my account not a refund for the overcharge. At our first class, the front desk staff told us where to go, but the instructor/coach didn't introduce himself (umm, what's your name) or explain what was going to happen. Then, when we got a new instructor, she didn't introduce herself. I've seen new people come into the lesson with no introductions or explanations either. Also, nobody has explained the process regarding when we move up to the next level of lessons. For the price, I expect a little better service.

My son loves coming here. After a few session I also notice how comfortable he is in the water.

We've been coming to Bear Paddle for over a month now and we cannot be more happy. At first it can be overwhelming for your child because it's something new, my son was wailing around in my arms for the first two lessons but we got into a weekly routine and now he absolutely LOVES it and enjoys working hard to prove he is ready for his patches . The staff is always friendly and will take time out of their already busy day to answer questions or show you around. I've referred many friends because Bear Paddle knows how important proper swimming techniques are always as their swim safety techniques. I used to be a lifeguard for many years and you wouldn't believe the amount of babies and toddlers I would have to save due to parents over socializing and not paying 100% attention on their kids so swim safety is a major concern when it comes to my child , Bear Paddle makes it fun and common so they understand how to save themselves if no one else can. Thank you again Bear Paddle for turning my little fish into a shark!

This company has very deceptive business practices. There have been numerous misunderstandings with this company in regard to charges they ran on my credit card. Long story short I purchased a groupon for 8 swim lessons and it included all swim lessons for my daugther. I get a call from my credit card company today saying "someone" charged my credit card from hemisphere swim school for 100 additional dollars even after i specifically spoke to the manager numerous occasions saying i have purchased a groupon and even have received confirmation from the company showing i have groupon. bottom line is dealing with this school has been an nightmare. I am going to rename this place and call it "The Nightmare on 3099 Disney Street"

Very happy so far. We have two children enrolled, one who gets anxious about new people. They have been wonderful, positive, and encouraging. I've seen great progress with my children's abilities!

We have loved going to Bear Paddle with all of our kids. They have all been easy to get into the water and love their time there. The water is never scary. The instructors are inviting. They look forward to their next class. My youngest and I are in the parent and child class now and each love our time together in the water.

I can not beleive how they are running this scam for these many years. they approved my daughter to go to level 5 and they gave her their badges. then when we wanted to have her in level 5, they said that there is no openning and probably they maid a mistake in their evaluation. they maid a test again and mentioned my daughter is not ready to go to level 5 which made her crying. I can not beleive how disrespectful and unorganized they are. i talked to other friends and they mentioned that they keep the students in the same level just to earn more money. i will never go back and urge you guys not to do so. until they cinvince the customers that they want to teach swimming and honor their customers and then think about making money.

Just want to take a second to compliment and give gratitude to Bear Paddle and all the instructors that have helped my son, William, learn to swim. The accommodating environment here is more than we could have hoped. Gabbie has been especially understanding, creative, and patient with William, and she deserves a raise. Thanks for everything. This is a good place
