BANH LAO & THAI CUISINE

The service was great, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and unique. Loved it! We got the bbq pork pho, shrimp summer rolls, ginger chicken wings and the fried banana for dessert. Would eat all of them again!

A craving for pho took us to Banh Lao & Thai cuisine. My dining partner got the green papaya salad ("outstanding!") and I got spring rolls (very good)! One beef pho and one chicken pho, size small (perfect size). Beef version was 100% consumed and deemed delicious. My chicken pho was great - broth was a little more pepperier than I expected but very good. Came with a plate of pho fixin's. After we finished we order pad thai to go, to bring back to hubs. It was good too, somewhat basic (lacking some of the goodies that pad Thais are sometimes prepared with) but still good tasting.Server was very groovy and friendly, food came quickly. Very small interior, only maybe six tables, and sparsely decorated. Maybe could use some oomf in the decor department, but it's the food that matters.Located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking.

Was searching a lunch spot near work and stumbled upon this establishment via Yelp! - so glad I took the chance!! The Pho was amazing and in highly recommend them if your in the area (hell, even if you're not)!

One of our favorite places. Jalapeno wings are some of the best wings in the city. The Pho is excellent. Nothing we have had from here has disappointed.

We brought our teenager in on a whim for dinner because she generally likes Asian cuisine and we'd passed by this place earlier in the day. It had good yelp ratings so we decided we'd try it. We'd already had dinner, so it truly was just for the 15yo. Me and hubby both ordered hot tea only--one green and one jasmine. When you walk in, it feels like a hidden gem of a place. We were directed to seat ourselves and someone came right over to get our order. Service was generally quick and accommodating. The restaurant and restrooms are clean.Teenager ordered the beef pho noodle soup and chose the rating level for this review. She thought the serving size was large, but the broth wasn't as flavorful as she wanted and the meat was a little tough. However, she reported that her Thai tea was "really good." They had a baking show pulled up on the TV in the dining room, which gave us something to view and discuss while we waited for her food. There were several things that looked good in the menu and I really want to come back and try them!

I stopped by after the lunch rush, so I was the only guest in the dining room. Given I hadn't been there before, I ordered my usual: chicken pad Thai and a papaya salad. There was nothing surprising about the food, which is what you hope for when trying a new place. Everything was fresh, but keep in mind they make their foods at a real spice level, so be sure to ask for recommendations when deciding how spicy you want your meal. I'll definitely go back.

We recently dined here and were excited to try it based on the positive reviews, but unfortunately, nothing lived up to the hype. While the staff was friendly and provided good service overall, one staff member sat at the table next to us, signing and talking on the phone with a friend during our meal. It created a distracting and unprofessional atmosphere. As for the food, we tried several dishes to get a full sense of the menu. Ginger chicken wings, crab rangoons, egg drop soup, chicken fried rice, and chicken pho. Sadly, everything we tried was disappointing. The wings had potential flavor-wise, but the chicken quality was really nasty. They very fatty and veiny. The egg drop soup was inedible, and the chicken fried rice was overly greasy. The chicken pho was the best item we got, but even that was bland. The crab rangoons were basic, with a skimpy filling that didn't do much to elevate the dish. I believe it's the staff's friendliness that contributes to the high reviews, but it doesn't make up for the food quality. We really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, the food just didn't deliver.

All their food was great, I got theThai chicken noodle soup and it was so yummy. Their service was attentive but not overbearing, and super friendly.

We came here on a frigid evening wanting some curry and hot soup to warm us up. Definitely did! We do have our go-to's: green curry and pad see ew. We again went with these. Chose chicken for the protein on both, and we are wimps so we asked for the curry mild. We decided we needed a soup also. Never tried the khao piak sen before and loved the idea of a chicken noodle soup on a cold night, so ordered this too. It had delicious, homemade rice and tapioca noodles. Yum! The chicken soup had just the right amount of salt and nice crunchy brussel sprouts for contrast. We had a great meal with leftovers to take home :). (Bring a sweater though. Every time the door opens, there is a chill that blows in.)
