I was excited to try to "old gem" and slowly got let down. The only thing going for this place is the staff! Super friendly & pleasant! The place looks mold infested & just dirty...but sometime the hole in the walls joints are the best right? Wrong! Eggs turned into powder, bacon tasted 2 days old...jelly was from 1998. Just close the place down.

This place is truly so good! They have so many options. I decided on the croissant BLT, and OMG. They give you so much bacon, and it was so crispy. The croissant was soft and everything else we love about croissants. Great for breakfast or lunch.

Great prices on some very good bagels and very good servings given the cost of the sandwich. Service is quick and friendly, and they have a pretty good selection of different options every day. Probably my favorite thing is you can get a day old donut for 60 cents, that's the kind of quality transparency we need in this world.I got a pair of omelet sandwiches on some delicious breads and left out for under 10 bucks, very tough to beat

We actually got lost and ended up a few miles from our original destination. Maybe Yelp can help locate great coffee and bagels? One block down on the right! We definitely found great bagels. They are very reasonable priced, too. The variety is large. If you order creme cheese, beware, they will put it on heavy. We decided on the breakfast special of sausage, egg, and cheese on a 1/2 croissant. It comes with a Small Coffee for $5.50. We also got day old donuts for 60 cents each. Not only was the price right, but the food was pretty good. The staff was friendly and had things well organized. I just love fast service. I only wish we had more days here and could visit again! 03/22

This place has been around forever. It's cheap and they take coupon. I usually get some sort of bacon sandwich. This time I tried a sausage, egg and cheese croissant. I really don't know what that sausage was made of. It tasted artificial and soy like and it was like it had been steamed. It had the weirdest flavor. If I come back, I'll pass on the sausage.

Definitely a college spot that's been around forever. Bagel sandwiches loaded with cream cheese. Staff were friendly. Restaurant needs a good cleaning though but what can you expect from a local college spot? LOL

Great local place! I hope they stick around! I have been coming here for a while. I think their sandwich deals are very affordable and with consistently good quality. I often go with a BLT on an everything bagel. I hear that there cookies are really good too. (I once met a guy while waiting for the bus who couldn't stop talking about how good the cookies were!)I do worry though that they'll get pushed out by competition like Einstein Bros Bagels coming in. The atmosphere at Bagel Brothers though is totally different. Laid back, friendly, and without 100 signs hanging in your face. I'll come here over Einstein any day!

Yummy bagels! Great coffee! I had a veggie bagel with Veges, cream cheese subbed for feta. My son had the ham egg and cheese bagel. He says it's better than einsteins done the street and the coffee competes with Starbucks. He can get a bagel and coffee for $5 something. Definitely going back!

Best bagels on the street. Don't be fooled by fancy chains. We got Asiago bagels with bacon cream cheese and veggie cream cheese. It's a small little dive at the end of the street. Relatively empty on this Sunday morning. Service was quick and friendly. Music was on point if you grew up in the 90s

Who goes here? I often asked myself that every time I passed this place on my way to work or to Bruegger's for an overpriced bagel.Well now I do!This place it pretty good. I stopped in one morning for work because I was starving a knew my plan of going through my day without breakfast was dumb. Upon arrival I could barely get into the door, the place was littered with Hughes High School students, Even the staff looked a little peeved that there were so many of them in there at once. I pushed through and managed to order myself a sausage, egg, and cheese "omelet" sandwich on a croissant and then stood back and waited....and waited. I did learn the cookies were pretty good because literally every kid that came in ordered them, requesting that they be warmed up. I ended up picking up a few chocolate chip for myself while I waited forever to get my food. The breakfast sandwich was pretty darn good for $3.50; better than anything I would have gotten from Mickey Ds. The cookies were also quite delish (better than Insomnia's overpriced stuff). I will definitely be returning here for lunch. The traffic of students in the morning was a bit much for me. But I will definitely swing by again!
