Avon Fields Golf Course

Just your average driving range. I went on a daily nice October morning, aka sunny but a little chilly. I wasn't looking for anything special. I'm by no means a professional or a serious golfer. I just enjoy hitting balls from time to time for stress relief or playing a simple par 3 course. I like that the setup promotes self-sufficiency. There's no attendant necessary to provide buckets of balls. Instead there's a sort of ball vending machine that allows customers to choose the bucket size they'd like. The driving areas are both left and right hand accessible. Though there's no attendant, the facilities are clean and orderly. I anticipate visiting this range again as soon as it gets a bit warmer out.

I can't believe this golf course is still $40 with the condition that it's in. Tons of brown dead grass and weeds. Every single tee box, fairway, and green was harder than a rock. CRC needs to take the money they are robbing from people and actually put it into the course.

The manager is rude and has full of imagination. He told me that he is a pro golfer and had 10 times of hole-in-one back in 1967. I didn't believe him at all. I've heard him yelling and screaming at golfers and some golfers just quit and left. I won't come back here to a hostile course. I rather go to other courses that has great service, reasonable prices, and friendly environment.

Went out as a 5 some today after scheduling our tee time and paying for 4 golfers and 3 carts (I did not golf, just a spectator). Had no problems when booking the tee time or paying being a group of 5 with 4 people golfing. We were behind a group running well behind, holding up groups behind us who called the clubhouse to get it resolved. My group was doing a scramble and getting thru holes quickly no problem, but at hole 7 I was yelled at and harassed for being a 5th in the group because they "forbid 5-somes". Ron Dumas came out screaming and threw me out he was out of control and degrading to us as paying customers. Absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable, horrible customer service and the clubhouse apologized for him while the 4 golfers got rain checks for the back 9 so we could leave immediately (though they won't return).TLDR Will absolutely not be returning after being yelled at and forced off the course by a ridiculously rude manager. Pick another course. Judging by other reviews on Google we're not the first to have this issue, he's even called the cops on others.

This place down right sucks!! Everyone there treats you like crap and the course is a heaping pile of garbage for the $40 we paid for 18 holes. The "pro" at the course said to us that its against the law to do certain things we were doing on the course that are completely fine at any other courses we've gone to before. Absolutely no water on the course to drink, no food was ready when we went in after 9 And almost all tee boxed were trashed and not kept up at all! If I could give this review 0 stars I would! I don't recommend coming here at all even to my worst enemy!

I really enjoyed my 9 holes here. Probably because I'm working out some of the kinks in my game, and had some shots I was very proud of here, but still it seems like a nice course. It was pretty hilly for me, and therefore challenging, but I appreciated the differentiation. Fairly thin fairways and small greens, but who doesn't like a challenge.I want to give a different idea of the location of this place than the first review. It is near the ghetto, but I would argue the fact that it's in the middle. It is towards the nicer part of the area and you even play in the back yard of some pretty decent houses. One part that contributes to the ghetto-ness is the fact that you have to cross a street, but that gives it character!

Awful place. Awful golf course. Awful service. The owner is very rude and mean. I strongly recommend not coming here.

the so called "golf pro" was very rude and I thought i should give this course another chance after how rude they were to me last time, but I did against better judgement and I regret to say this is one golf course I would stay away from, until they get a new golf pro or management.

Absolutely terrible customer service and the course was not in good shape. Seemed like they left the sprinklers on for hours. Spend the extra $10 and play a nice course.
