Greeted and seated for a 6pm two top with a friend. Open lot parking. Great legacy for the venue which commanded respect. Warm comfortable room with peaceful relaxed vibe. Friendly staff. Open comfortable bar area with outstanding mixologist, quiet not rowdy.Cocktail orders were taken. Nice wine menu with a bottle of willamette pinot ordered. Toasted bread wedges with Gorgonzola/parmesian fondue is served which is crack addictiveWe shared the crab cake app (2) which was tasty. We both ordered the pork chop entree which was at perfect temp with delicious seasoning and accompaning potatoes and vegetables. We ordered the cheese cake desert which varies with menu changes.Chef stopped by to introduce himself. The menu is upscale American cuisine. The name ATA means to eat. Its a homage to his mother/grandmother where his cooking began.Very highly recomendedSlainte!!

Welcome to the neighborhood, äta! I was excited to stop in for cocktails and small plates during this team's first weeks open. Transitioning from the beloved Anoosh Bistro, äta is a newly reimagined Swedish + New American concept under Chef David Danielson, pulling inspiration from his childhood Nordic roots. Thrilled to see these treasures shared on the menu.Robust wine list with a select cocktail menu and beer list available. I was in for a cocktail during this trip and enjoyed the 'Swedish 76' with lingonberry. Wines seem to be the way to go for a fully coursed meal. You have the option with this menu to share a series of small plates or traditionally course your meal with appetizers through entrees and dessert. I wanted a sampling of the menu so my party of two opted for small plates - the bleu cheese and fig jam toasts, roasted beet salad, and mussels were on the menu for us. You are also served with table bread with a Parmesan sauce that was phenomenal. I might order a different small plate besides the toast next go-round.Our server was exceptional and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. The hospitality from front of house to the end of our meal was exceptional. äta is certainly an upscale experience, and feels more classic and sophisticated than trendy. Think special occasions, foodie adventures, parent visits, and date night with someone you want to impress.

We were warmly greeted upon arrival and treated to a delightful watermelon, balsamic, and blue cheese bite from the chef. The Old Fashioned and bourbon pour from the bar were perfectly crafted. For dinner, I had the short ribs with mashed potatoes and broccolini, which were beyond tender and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the ribeye, cooked to perfection with a rich, smoky flavor. We were too full to indulge in dessert, but the meal was outstanding from start to finish. Our waiter, Alan, provided excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

We had an excellent date night experience on a Thursday evening at ata. The staff were super attentive and took pride in describing the excellent food on the menu. We ordered the burrata (flown in fresh from a farmer in Sicily) as an appetizer. It is a menu must-have. For our meals we got the rib eye and cioppino (fish stew) and both were delicious. I really have to rave about the cioppino because it was full of fresh fish and the broth was perfect for dipping the grilled bread. The chef also came by to check on our meals. A wonderful dining experience.

I didn't like the presentation of any of the dishes. The food was no good on all the dishes we tried. Staff was friendly, but who goes to a restaurant solely for friendly staff? Felt like a very weak attempt to provide a fine dining experience. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you want to try a fine dining experience, and if you're hungry then go across the street to fresh market the food from Fresh Market has more flavor than the entrees here.

This place was incredible! The service was out of this world and the chef personally checked in on you throughout the night to make sure you were enjoying yourself and the food. The short rib was amazing and the pork chop was the perfect sweet snd Smokey balance. The chocolate hazelnut bar was the perfect sweet and salty end to the meal. We will be coming back!

Äta might be my favorite restaurant I have EVER been to. The food is not only outstanding, but the service is unbeatable. They are incredibly accommodating of food allergies, preferences, etc and genuinely want to do everything they can to make it the best meal for you. The first time I went in, the bar was out of an ingredient in the cocktail I had wanted, so the bartender came over and asked me what I had ordered for dinner, my preferred liquor, and whipped up the most delicious drink for me in no time- totally customized to my meal and taste. This sounds cheesy but I really do feel like royalty every time I go with how well I and my friends and family are treated.
