The Very, very Bad:Theresa does not accept charge cards!!!!!Despite her statement,"Here at Ashley's, we want you to feel welcome from the moment you enter the shop until you devour your last bite. Customer service is our top priority."We were met with hubris: "Theresa feels that charge cards are Not best for Her." I observed that charge cards were best for the customer, and I do not want or need another charge card.The Very, very Good:Theresa's apple dumpling approach the best that my mother baked -- very good.Theresa's apple strudel is very good.Theresa's oatmeal raisin cookies are very good.We welcome Theresa to the modern American Economy.Please Improve your Customer service....

This is one of many visits. I drove here special to buy my neighbor the cream horns she was craving. She said they were delicious. I also bought two mini pies. They were good but not drive out of my way good. Prices are high. They only take cash. No seating inside. Wonderful staff.

Yummy pastry shop tucked in oakwood! I grew up in Kettering and had no idea Ashley's existed until this year! They accept cash, Venmo/PayPal. I decided on the pecan sticky bun and it was so yummy! I want to return to try the donuts!

I was so excited when I saw on Facebook Ashley's was offering Cleveland Browns themed desserts; however, much like the playoff game itself, these cookies were disappointing & embarrassing. The (edible?) paper design on the cookies was unimpressive and the whole thing peeled off at first bite. Overall, the cookies were a total miss: design, lackluster flavor, price ($42 per dozen). I couldn't even give them away at the end of the game, no one wanted to take them home.

Stopped in to pick up a small coconut cake today. While I was there, I also purchased a pumpkin shaped iced sugar cookie and a pumpkin-flavored cookie with a cream cheese dollop.The coconut cake is very lacking in flavor. It's a white cake base with your average whipped frosting and (not toasted) coconut flakes. I could taste no coconut cream filling and the cake was dry. It tasted like a generic white cake with lots of super sweet coconut flakes, but none of that creaminess or essence of actual coconut thay makes an average idea extraordinary.The cake is on par with one that you might purchase at a grocery store; most definitely not worthy of the price. And therein lies the biggest issue. The total for a small 6" cake and two cookies was $35! Frankly, I was surprised but didn't question it as I was expecting outstanding quality. I didn't receive a receipt and there are NO prices listed anywhere, so I'm not sure what was what...but if the cake cost me more than $20 (it likely did) that is a disappointment.The cookies were good. I will give credit there.

Best donuts in the Dayton area! My favorites are the Glazed Croissants and Glazed Cake Donuts.

Husband got me a birthday cake. Absolutely loved it. Red velvet was moist and icing was smooth. We will definitely be ordering all our specialty cakes from here.

The salted rye is the best in town. Custom cakes are always done perfectly. Its cash only from what I remember. That may have changed since I was last there, which is the only reason I would not give five stars. But the pastries and breads are among the best!

This store is amazing. We were in town for a football game and saw they had football cookies. We asked about them and the owner said she would be happy to make some in our team colors and letters. This is what you call CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Can't recommend this bakery enough!!! And the pastries are amazing!!!
