Anderson Tap House

Nice vibe, good service but I was struck by the lack of local beer in a place calling itself a tap house! My wedge salad was on point but my husband felt his burger could use more seasoning; maybe a touch of Montreal steak house? All in all, a solid 4 but a better beer selection would've earned the coveted 5...

I'd been to this place one other time with my lady just for drinks, pinball, and a few games of pool but not to eat. They do have some cool pinball tables by the way. Still, I wanted to get the full experience before reviewing, so I talked my co-workers into going for Cincinnati Wing Week when different restaurants have chicken wing specials going on. They agreed to so since they like wings too.We went on a Thursday for lunch. It wasn't too busy and we were sat right away. Their bar area is pretty big and they have an impressive tap selection as well as wine and a full bar. They have lots of inside seating and outside too. There's also a stage for live music. Did I mention the pinball tables? You have to get a play card to get play them though because the machines do not accept cash or coin. There's also a pool table closer to the bar area. Their menu is nice and features lots of classic pub grub options. But we were all about the wings. Theirs came with different sauce options like classic Buffalo, sweet Thai chili, BBQ, garlic parmesan, and dry rub. I ordered 6 dry rub wings and a wedge salad. My boss did the same but asked for a couple sides of sauce which were the garlic parmesan and hot Buffalo. My other co-worker got 6 sweet Thai chili wings and an order of raptor fries (loaded fries). The salads came out first and were pretty good size for the price. They definitely didn't skimp on the blue cheese which I always enjoy. Everything else came our after we were done with the salads. My dry rub wings were good but they were a bit on the sugary sweet side which I was not expecting. When I think dry rub wings, I think smoky dry rub, not sweet. My co-workers fries were definitely loaded and I did manage to steal a few. Too bad I couldn't get a pint of brew since we had to go back to work.Overall, I think this spot is pretty good, and I could potentially see going again, and not just for drinks and pinball, but that's a bonus for sure. The service is great, the place is cool, and overall the food is good (though I'd describe the dry rub wings a little more on the menu for others like me).

Fun lunch at Anderson Tap House. Relaxing atmosphere with pool and pinball.The menu is great and food delicious. Service was super. This is a keeper if you are on the East side of Cincinnati.

Really cool place with fun live music, nice big burgers and a bunch of excellent games to play. TVS everywhere, quick, friendly service and reasonable prices. My group had a great time and plan to return. Oh yea, easy, convenient parking.

Came spur of the moment for a beer and an app before meeting family at Altitude. Beers were good and rhe chicken quesadilla was thr best I have had in a restaurant in a long time, def recommend that. Service was kinda slow for a mostly empty restaurant. Server was underage, so she couldn't pour the beers, but not sure that was the actual hold up. Definitely serving staff around, unclear why it took so long. Will likely come again.

I have gone here several times to try and give them a shot. I was really excited when this place was opening because I love to support local businesses especially ones with good craft, beer and food. This is definitely neither. I went in one time and sat at the bar. I was literally the only person sitting at the bar and it took 15 minutes for the bartender to walk over to me and you even acknowledge that I was there. While they have an extensive list of beers , 50 to 60% of the kegs are blown. I tried going again, and when we finally got our food, it was not good. The bathrooms in this place are disgusting and smell like sewage. Also, when I asked the bartender what IPAs they had on tap he said, "I don't know I don't drink bee" I don't see how this place stays in business much longer.

We just moved to the area so we wanted to try a fun place for the kids to eat. The service was not great and the food was terrible. Sides of veggies which should be pretty simple were cold and flavorless. We sat there for about 5 minutes with food but no utensils. I really was hoping to like it since it's so close and had a lot of fun games, but I can't see going back. The food was just too bad.

We were seated for several minutes before I had to ask the girl that seated us if we were going to be waited on. She apologized and I guess the manager waited on us and gave us a few excuses as to why no one had attended to us yet. Order wasn't correct and had three different people occasionally stop by. For a Tap house beer selection is rather limited. Finally saw a waitress when it was time to pay. They didn't know whose table it was. Or the cost of the meal. Organization is not this place's strong suit. I don't recommend this place.

Went here before the theater. The burger was bland even with Jalapeno relish. The Nachos were greasy and upset all of our stomachs. The ribs were nothing but connective tissue. Despite the look of the mac and cheese, it didn't taste like anything. I tried to order a steak but they didn't have any?! The shrimp were fine but not fresh. It seems like a nice place for a beer and to meet friends before you actually go out.

We've ordered the fish sandwich multiple times before, but decided to get just the fish and chips to go tonight. Not only did they give us the sandwich instead of the entree, but there was so much grease on the bun that it immediately crumbled. When I called up about the issues, the staff were rude and wouldn't do anything about it unless I brought it back. I explained I could send them photos, but I'm disabled and had sent someone to pick this order up for me initially. I will not be returning after this experience.
