I've lived in Marysville for 32 years ( and I'll never be considered a Marysvillite...lol) and I just discovered this little store. The couple who run it are pretty nice, and not snappy!! Donuts on Saturday are great! But the gem is their hotdogs! I'm a hotdog junkie always on the search for a great dog. They got them!

Somehow I've missed this on my explorations of Marysville, even though I've been to Amish places in Plain City and elsewhere. The building is a bit nondescript; look for it directly across from the fairgrounds. The owner is from the area, and carries a wide variety of down-home foods in a fairly small store. Great meats, great cheese, the usual Amish dry goods, candy, a few drinks. Sweetie uses some of the ingredients for baking, so we make regular trips. The owner said she can order anything she doesn't have. She's super friendly and helpful.Prices are reasonable, great selection, good service, and all in all a great experience.

This was a great side stop on the way to my brother's last fall. I started to yelp and never finished. Today, the note popped up and I realized I was still craving their luncheon meats and cheeses...that I cannot get in Oregon.I grew up in Ohio, and ate a lot of Amish deli back then. I have missed the flavors so much. As I walked through the store, I saw SO MANY of my childhood favorites, noodles, and soups, luncheon meats...so so much food I wish I could take home with me.If you are driving by, and wonder, is it worth a stop? YES! Do it!!!!

I had THE best sandwhich here today. First let me describe the store and then I'll get to the most wonderful, incredible, yum-a-licious sandwhich.Amish Heritage is a tiny store right on Main Street right across the street from the Fairgrounds. I believe the store may be going on it's year anniversary. Inside are a plethora of wonderful Amish baked goods (they get their fresh baked goods typically on Wednesdays and Saturdays), huge selection of spices, tons of baking ingredients you can't find at the grocery (ie: Xantham gum), specialty dessert and dip mixes, nuts, candies, lunch meat (Trail bologna), amish cheeses, drinks, make your own peanut butter and much much more. The store is cramped and small but there is a ton of selection. They make these homemade fried pies (think along the likes of those hostess cherry/apple pies) that are to die for. Homemade flaky pie dough with various different fillings to choose from like (Raisin, Apple, Peach, Cherry, Rhubarb in season and more) and then dunked in a yummy glaze. When these are fresh they are so darn good (I wanted to say dam* but figure since I'm reviewing an Amish store I'll keep my curse words in check :) The store also can put together party platters for you pretty quickly with meats, cheeses, breads and so on. They have specials for $5 you get a homemade sandwich of your choosing, bag of chips and a can of soda. Now.....drum roll please.................On to the sandwhich.I was running a ton of errrands and forgot to eat lunch so I figured I'd stop in and see what they could whip up. I really didn't know they could make sandwhiches on the fly but now I do and my oh my I'll be back. They have a ton of lunch meats to choose from and are happy to slice whatever you'd like for you to try before you buy. So the lady gave me a sample slice of the trail bologna. She said it was pretty popular. I took a bite and said .....oh yeah, whip one up. I selected munster cheese and she had fresh made buns. She asked me if I wanted it warmed? Um heck yes....didn't know they did this either. She had a sandwhich maker in the back and put the bologna, cheese and toasted it. Then she added some mayo and mustard, wrapped it up for me to take.I got to the car, took a bite and said SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!! OMG it was soooooo good. That sandwhich got wulfed down with a quickness. I also bought some pumpkin cookies with buttermillk frosting for this weekend, but couldn't resist trying one and mmm mmm were they good and fresh too. I'm telling ya, this store rocks and the lady that runs the place is super helpful too. She really enjoys talking to customers and meeting the people of the community. If there is something in there that you wished they'd carry, she wants to know about it and will do what she can to accomodate you. No need to travel way up North to Amish Country when you have a little slice of it right here in good ol Marysville.

Came here with hubs one beautiful Saturday afternoon after reading the review of the bomb sandwiches. SO TRUE. Hubs had Bologna and jalapeño bacon muenster cheese with pickles, mayo and mustard on wheat bread while I had oven roasted chicken with jalapeño muenster cheese with mustard on wheat bread. Both sandwiches were AWESOME. They served them hot and THICK. Definitely hit the spot AND they came with a bag of chips and can of pop for $5! Can't beat that! While they were preparing the sandwiches I walked around their cute shop and got some goodies that I can't get back home in NY...or if I do it's an arm and a leg. Things like boysenberry jam, thick cut bacon (under $8!) hot chocolate mix and strawberry poppyseed salad dressing...they have a wide array of things that give you that "country/farm" feel and I figure "heck, I'll get it. When else will I come across this?" Because honestly when will I? I live in a concrete jungle. Oh! And their Dutch donuts! Caramel walnut longjohn donut something...whatever! It's amazing! And available Saturday only! All in all..it was a great experience and will look forward to coming back with the hubs next time we're visiting family!

A wide selection of grains, eggs, cheese, and meat at good prices. Also, has produce and pastries. The produce is grown at an Amish farm and an Amish family makes pastries delivered each Wednesday and Friday. They have nitrate and hormone free meat.
