I call Al's Bar an High Class Dive Bar. Lots of locals. Lots of tourists & first timers too. Happy and friendly place to hang out.

A dive bar with pool tables in the back but I wanted someplace I could sit with a beer while my van was plugged into the "free" outlets provided by the municipality. When I walked in, a lively bunch of folks having a good time. I decided this was a spot I could stay.Sitting down with my beer in the back, that's when the music started. Super loud and from a speaker that was just a little bit blown. Enough to be grating. I finished the beer and headed elsewhere. If you're looking for a good loud time, this might be the spot for you.[Review 20364 overall - 180 in Ohio - 1342 of 2023.]

Not quite a dive. Not quite a sports bar. Not quite a place I would visit again. $10 min on credit cards. The place is filthy and looks like it hasn't been dusted in decades. There is a sign up (that is horribly misspelled btw) to "prevent drama." People were not friendly here. The bartender wouldn't take our order until we ALL knew what we wanted because she said, "I don't wanna take two trips." I never write 1-star reviews, but this place should be avoided.

Stopped in on a sweltering Saturday afternoon, nice and cool inside, but not dark. Big barroom. Crowd ranged from 20s to 70s, and pretty loud but they had to be loud to be heard over the music which was crankin' - and a more eclectic mix I haven't heard in a while. Dr. Hook, country, heavy metal, glam rock. Keno, one pool table, some video games, logo T shirts for sale, a popcorn machine, handy ATM, friendly chatty regulars and a selection of Rolling Stone magazines to browse if you don't feel like chatting. Barmaid was attentive and we felt welcome even though everybody did NOT know our names. Nice little back yard with tables and speakers for the music. Friendly neighborhood watering hole.

What makes a great dive bar? How about when the bartender finishes her shift, she comes to the other side of the bar, sits down with you and starts drinking??? Years ago, Al's was the bar you were never allowed to take your boss to. Mostly because at any given time, any number of my co-workers might be in there drinking during work hours. Now, it is just the great little dive bar it aspires to be. Cold beer, really cheap. Nice location. Park around back, your boss, or your wife will never see you!!

Al's was awesome! The bartender Mike was attentive and kept the cold drinks coming. We were visiting from out of town, and some regulars: Georgie, Missy, Veronica along with others made us feel like family. We threw a couple rounds of darts with this crew and had a great experience throughout the night. The quintessential dive bar!

Terrible terrible service the bartender wouldn't take our order and when she finally did she closed us out while we were still there. Forged our signature tipped herself and all her name was Amber and she even came from behind the bar and assaulted my friend. I would suggest any other place but here.
