I was in the mood for a gyro and decided to give Ali Baba Mediterranean Grill a first try. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu is Mediterranean, and very vegetarian friendly. My gyro order to-go came with a side of fries which was the only disappointment for me. The gyro was great, with a nice amount of meat and fresh vegetables. The pita was nice and soft, the meat flavorful not greasy, and the Tzatziki Sauce was perfect. The side of fries in my photo is just the number of fries that came with my gyro. At least make it equivalent to what you'd get if you ordered a small fries with any other sandwich. The fries are sprinkled with seasoned salt which is a nice touch. I'll give Ali Baba another try some day but if the side of fries is going to be this tight, I'll get my gyro somewhere else.

The gyro bread was completely soggy, missing taz sauce, cold fries. Unwrapping the gyro and found it was sitting in a puddle of liquid. Worst gyro I've ever had.

This is one of our favorite Mediterranean places in the city. They've been around for a while and their quality has not changed. I went my with husband and parents and we all shared 2 falafel platters and fries. The platters come with several falafel balls, pita bread, tzaziki, hummus and then we asked for the veggies which came with roasted cauliflower and carrots. Also ask for the hot sauce on the side! This was the perfect amount for the 4 of us we were able to make our own little falafel sandwiches the way we wanted. The fries are nice and crispy. Occasionally I swing by here to just pick up a plate of falafel if we re hosting Mediterranean at home and it turns out so great!

Ali Baba is a great, casual place to grab a Gyros or Falafel or many other choices. I love that the owner always seems to be on site behind the counter. Tried the Humus for the first time... outstanding!!! And the pita bread with it is perfect. Stuffed grape leaves also yummy and served with a little cup of sauce to dip. we finished our meal with the cashew and pistachio Baklava. lovely. Highly recommend.

Great falafel Donner! I ask for mine to be spicy. This is a small business with the owner on premises. Very clean and quick.

I stumbled upon this place, as I was staying nearby and passed them daily. It's a small establishment with a few tables for dining in. My visit was during COVID-19, but they were open for carry-out orders. The owner was very nice, friendly, and quite knowledgeable about what was vegan-friendly on his menu. DOLMAS - All dolmas are not created equal. Lucky for me, these were some of the best I've had. The grape leaves were moist, not dry as some like to serve them. The rice inside was warm and adequately seasoned. They were melt-in-your-mouth delicious!FALAFEL DONER -Basically, a falafel pita, served the way nature intended, with the pita sliced open and all the goodies stuffed inside, like they serve 'em on the east coast and at Maoz, in Europe. The pita was fresh and soft. The magic inside though! Crispy falafel, roasted veggies, including eggplant and cauliflower ((I could've eaten that roasted cauliflower as a side dish!), banana peppers, hummus, and tahini. (I omitted the cucumbers and tomatoes. I added tahini instead of the non-vegan tzatziki sauce.) OMG was it glorious to my tastebuds! I added some SEASONED FRIES to my meal and they were the perfect companion. Crispy and well seasoned, they paired well with pita sandwich. It was a lot of food. Great portions for the price. If I'm ever in Cincinnati again, I know what's for lunch or dinner!

I wasn't completely sure about this place when I walked in but dang that's a good gyro! I've had a few different gyros in Cincy, always searching for the perfect one. Ali Baba comes in at #2. Well seasoned meat, very generous portion, thick fluffy pita. Fries are crunchy but thicker crinkle style. Overall a good meal!Downfalls: greasy AF with light sauce. Next time I'll ask for more sauce and less grease ha. I literally squeezed grease out of my sandwich and blotted a lot with a napkin. Pretty gross but I'll let it slide every now and then. Great tasting food but due to grease I wouldn't come back often. Nice treat every now and then and you can easily get two meals out of it.
