1 Smokin Ash Hole

3 stars because they put bbq sauce all over my brisket and rib tips. I've never ordered brisket and had the bbq sauce automatically come on the meat. I like to really taste the flavor of the meat without being sauced up. Brisket: very good when I found a slice without sauce Rib tips: average Mac n cheese: slightly above average Greens: it's a no for meI would return for the brisket! With NO bbq sauce.

Did an order online for pickupPros- -Food was ready and on time when arrived- Meat order was good: rib tips and brisket.Cons--ALL the sides were NOT good. Had rice and beans, collard greens, dirty rice and Mac and cheese. The bbq sauce was awful tasting.-My order was missing two sides but considering the lack of flavor, there was nothing to grip about.I would not recommend.

Hands down best BBQ joint in Cincinnati!!! Got the Dino beef Rib, Mac and cheese, and the pineapple jalapeño slaw, all super amazing and flavorful (So good I cleaned the bone). Owner and staff were extremely friendly. Also got to try some brisket (which was probably one of the best briskets I have ever had). Also I got to try the smoked turkey (I know where I'm going next thanksgiving is all can say)

Holy Smokes! This is a keeper! We are not from here. We ventured out for dinner and the first style of food we came upon that we decided we wanted was Barbecue.As we sat in the City Barbecue parking lot, we remembered that Cinci was famous for Barbecue, and immediately knew we couldn't eat at a chain.We searched Yelp and based on the name alone, we chose 1 Ash Hole and didn't look back. The reviews steered us in the right direction, when we found ourselves sitting in a gas station, wondering if we were lost. If we were lost, we found heaven.

Locally owned. Next to a gas station--DO NOTlet that stop you. Staff (owner and wife) are super nice. The place is clean and had fresh flowers on the table. It is right off 75 so easy in and out. It's counter service but places to sit and eat. They had a party of 20 coming in for a bday party. The fried cabbage will be in my dreams! everything is homemade and it shows! They have only been open about 6 weeks but are putting in a late night drive through. I wish I lived closer!!!!!

Get here and get some tasty bbq. Found this while searching for food a week ago. So glad I did. So far I've had theBeef rib. Big thick juicy fall off the bone melt in your mouth. It was good y'all.Ribs melt in your mouth perfectly smokey.Street corn I wasn't expecting this to be a whole corn Cobb smothered in flavors and butter. You gotta try it bites off the Cobb as if it was waiting for your bite.SidesGreens yams potatoes salad.Oh I forgot to mention every meal comes with jalapeno cornbread it's not spicy y'all. Flavorful enough to accompany them greensI'm going back for the ox tails. Service is great they are so nice and accomidating. Very good people.

Love the loaded fries with brisket so good and nice portions , love the murals inside on the walls , the chef had my entire family laughing, great friendly service, very willing to help you find what you are looking for.

Very good barbecue, I've tried several different things, all good...had take out, I'll go back that's certain...the chef is quite accomplished...

Edit: I've been back a few times and tried some more stuff. The pulled pork, wings, and ribs are out of this world!!

Good little BBQ place. This place is hidden in the same building as the gas station convenient store. The proprietors are absolutely delightful people. Only time I've been there was on a Friday where ribs were on special. They have a pretty extensive menu, especially for how small it is. There are 6, maybe 8, tables inside. We did get there after the normal lunch break, but there were still a handful of customers getting takeout. We all ended up getting the ribs. They had a good sauce but it was a little thin for me. They were out of a few key items (more accurately, they weren't ready yet). We'll give them another visit, that's for sure.
