Cien Agaves Tacos & Tequila - Old Town Scottsdale

Hands down one of the best Mexican spots in Old Town! Absolutely love coming here and bringing out-of-towners here when visiting. Their menu is really good with tons of options. The food here is delicious! Have tried multiple different items across the menu and am always impressed. Gotta start with the bottomless chips and salsa, very good. I definitely recommend the Tres Tacos Especial to get a variety of items. Also, the enchilada special is fantastic - I recommend the Diabla Shrimp with both sauces. The service is always awesome and quick, too.If you're here for drinks and/or happy hour, Cien Agaves is your spot! The drink menu is huge! Their happy hour specials are great as well (drinks and food). Location wise, you're in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. It's a great place for some Mexican food or grab a drink and watch the game. Then, take a walk around to all the shops! You definitely want to add Cien Agaves to your list.PS. Good spot for kids, too. The kids' menu is good, servers are very helpful, and the portions are big enough to share.

Cute taco spot in old town.Service is phenomenal. The tacos were good. the carne asada and shredded beef were my favorite. Also tried the chicken tinga and birria. The birria was on the sweeter side.The house made guacamole is delicious. Margaritas were all great.

I went there on Tuesday and placed an order to go. I took advantage of the taco Tuesday and ordered some shredded beef hard tacos. They were definitely delicious and worth $3 each.

Had an absolutely lovely time here on Taco Tuesday. A few select tacos were $3, and we shared a queso and margarita flight. The server was wonderful, and the queso was great, as well as the margarita flight and my casa salad with jalapeno cream dressing. My only complaint would be a dry chicken tinga taco, but for $3 honestly I can't complain. The location is great in old town Scottsdale, we were sat right away on the second floor, and the restaurant had a great vibe. I'd definitely suggest stopping in if you're in town for some of their deals.

My family drove up to Tempe for our son's graduation from ASU. We walked around Old Town Scottsdale. My daughter loves Mexican food so we decided to eat lunch here. It was 1pm on a Sunday and all the tables outside were reserved. We were a party of five and were seated upstairs. Ambiance and service were nice.Most of us had the Dos Tacos Especial. I had the Fajita Burrito with grilled chicken, red enchilada style, for $16. I was a bit disappointed in the dryness, despite the enchilada sauce. The sauce soaked into the tortilla and didn't leave any sauce for dipping. It was a big burrito and very filling, and the various ingredients mixed inside, which included cucumber, made a good taste sensation. The spiced corn was served on the side.We ordered bottomless chips and salsa ($3) with a side of guac as an appetizer. The server gave us the chips and guacamole instead, a $12 order, and then gave us the salsa later. My daughter had two mojitos which she really liked.The place was busy and thus loud. The colors are vivid everywhere, with plenty of wall decor, but I do think it's a bit overpriced for what you get

Meh. This place was nothing special. Our server was very nice, but the service was incredibly slow. Additionally, this place is LOUD. Like, yell at the person sitting next to you loud. The best part of our meal was definitely the drinks. I really liked my prickly pear margarita, and it was large. My meal was the chicken chimichangas. These were not good. They lacked flavor and were difficult to eat. I would not recommend this meal. Overall, with the amount of delicious Mexican restaurants in the area, I would not suggest visiting this location.

We stopped here for a late lunch straight from airport. It's a pretty big space with a lot of tables both up and downstairs. Food was solid, nothing amazing but also very affordable. Highlight was the prickly pear margarita (not too sweet)) and the beet salad.Solid place if in the area, but wouldn't go out of the way for it!

Stopped in after reading some great reviews and the place was absolutely bumping! We made reservations on open table 30 min prior which worked out perfectly to snag a lovely shaded patio seat. Service was so friendly and helpful in guiding through the menu. We decided on nachos (trying to find the best nachos in AZ!) and chicken taquitos. Food was good, pretty average "Mexican" food, nachos are a large serving and added some delicious grilled chicken. Comes with cheese, beans, jalapeños, pico, and chipotle creama. The crema is cold drizzled on top and they are a direr type of nacho (aka not drowning). Not my favourite nachos yet but certainly delicious. Taquitos were tasty and something different for us. Service was pretty top notch and fast. Atmosphere was a great vibe with diverse crowd of people. Service 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Food 3.5/5
