We love Cibo! The patio on cool evenings is enchanting with the nature trees, twinkling lights and the live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. This is a staple for many Phoenicians and the staff is a well oiled machine. I would recommend reservations. The food is equally as good as the setting. We like the Arancini, House Salad, Caprese Salad, Burrata and Polpette (Meatballs). For the entree, I often order the Tagliatelle Bolognese or the Funghi Pizza (add olives) or the Diavola. As I write this now, I'm getting hungry. I definitely know where we are going for dinner tonight!

Meh. Let a lot to be desired. Calamari was extremely overcooked, couldn't even tell it was calamari. Asked if they could remake it less crunchy & waitress said no. That's how they make it. I love Calamari. Pizza was okay. Thought the burrata would come as burrata yet it was just baked on as a normal mozzarella. Cute ambiance.

My three positives and a negative because the world needs more positivity:+ the crust, the bread. Seriously. You can just stop there+ our server, sierra, was helpful and friendly+ cute house conversion (though limited / sporadic parking)- not a ton of flavor in the sauce. But again, the crust

Have been wanting to check out Cibo for quite some time. We were going to a concert at the Van Buren and stopped here for dinner first. First impression, very cute ambiance and outdoor courtyard. Intimate and quaint. I started with the pear salad and my bf got the meatballs, and we split the Di Notta pizza. The pear salad was light and refreshing, the meatballs were okay and the pizza was delicious!Anyway, I definitely recommend this place for a cute date night when out and about downtown! Oh, and there was live music on the patio too. :)

Bella Nolte! We dined outside under the spring alfresco sky with live music. Our server was kind and knowledgeable. We ordered the Meatball Saltimbucca and the Amitrice with the guancele. The breads and toppings were delicious, so was the salad dressed with pine nuts that came with our sandwich.Bravissimo!

I would eat here everyday if I could!! Everything about this restaurant was wonderful. My waitress was so kind and gave me great recommendations. I sat out on the patio and was comfortable with the amount of shade they have. It's such a cozy restaurant and the bright flavors of the food made it even better. You can tell that all of their ingredients are very fresh!! I've never had calamari be so light and airy. The sandwich was perfectly layered and balanced.

Artisanal Italian in a historic downtown bungalowCibo is a cute casual Italian restaurant in a restored 1913 bungalow in downtown Phoenix. Enjoy a nice lunch on the tree filled patio right along 5th Avenue. It's a nice relaxing spot that lets you feel like you've escaped the desert. Inside also has plenty of seating and a bar throughout the bungalow.Saltimbocca is their delicious wood-fired bread that's used for the sandwiches and pizza crust. The bread is made fresh at every order, and it is what makes Cibo so good! Fun fact, i googled what Saltimbocca means..."it jumps in mouth." This makes so much sense because when I first bit into my sandwich, I did a little happy dance. For starters, we had the calamari, which comes with lemon and a red pepper aioli. We shared the Di Notte pizza and the Alla Parmigiana Caldi (hot saltimbocca sandwich) as we overheard the waitress recommend it. Like I said, as soon as I bit into the sandwich, I was excited. Although it looks thick and crusty, the bread is tasty and so soft. It melted into the tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fried eggplant. Admittedly, red sauce and mozzarella are not my favorite flavors, but this was the exception. It truly was mouthwatering. The pizza was just as tasty with that wood-fired bread, four cheeses, and spicy salami. I like to try different places and not repeat them, but this is one place I can't wait to return to!

Ambiance 5 stars!Food 3 starsService 1 starI believe we had a bit of an outlier experience and would love to go again and order different items. We came as a large group with a reservation and were seated promptly. Our waitress came to take drink orders, which were delivered promptly, and then didn't come back for ages. We were so hungry but 1 person in our party wasn't there yet. We had to guess the server was waiting on that person to arrive, but we had her order and wished we'd been asked or checked on.Most of us ordered salads to share as starters, along with pasta or pizza dishes as mains. The salads arrived with no plates for sharing or utensils. We had to ask the person delivering the food. I had the Ostia salad, which sounded so different I figured it had to be really good, but it's really like a Ceasar salad with the dressing swapped for hummus. Strange, and needed something to balance the hummus. The pastas received praise, but those of us who got pizza all found them disappointing, with bland, slightly sweet sauce.

I just came back from Rome so having this was a yummy little reminder of there! They use really high quality ingredients and I loved the charred taste on the pizza. Their servers were super friendly and gave good recommendations for our first time there. Overall the vibe was super cute with string lights and some live music.I definitely want to come back here and try some more menu items!

The food was wonderful, but not as good as the service. Ciarah was a fabulous waitress, who sang a special song for our birthday woman on honor. I recommend CIBO to all.
