Updated review. It's been a while, so thought I'd update my review. Well, nothing to report, still EXCELLENT!The Great - The beer selectionThe Good - The Fish, Shrimp and Chips -- pretty thick breadingThe Bad - The parking. The ugly - NA This is a great spot but, boy, it's hard to park there! I LOVE the fish and chips, but the shrimp had super thick breading. Their curry is also so good on fries! I always get a side of curry.

I've gotten so many smirks and stories of how crazy Churchill's is, but I've only been coming during the day, around lunch, and it's been anything but, haha. It's super calm and a great vibe. Excellent service--everyone is really nice. I really like the large pretzel and the very crunchy lemon pepper dry rub wings. The pretzel is buttered which is a great touch most places don't do. I recommend getting the buffalo sauce on side and dipping pretzels in buffalo and cheese.

Wife and I wanted to go somewhere for memorial weekend, and we haven't been to a pub in awhile and we found this spot.i got the Churchill's burgers in medium rare and the burger came out with a crispy bun and I believe that's what made it really good. The waiter was also the bar waiter and he was pretty attentive, he would check up on us every few mins to make sure we were okay. They had a whole row of beers on tap as well at least 20-30 beers it looked like. I had the black and tan which is Guinness and blue moon and tasted so good. My wife got some wings and looks like they have a wing Wednesday deal so we'll probably come back to try it, she had the churchills bbq sauce and it was really good. The overall location looks like a normal pub, there's not a lot of parking so you might have to park on the side which wasn't too bad but overall the pub has a great atmosphere and the food overall was good. I'll be coming back to try wing Wednesday I believe it's a $1 wings

Wing Wonderland at Churchill's: A Five-Star SurpriseVenturing into Churchill's on the recommendation of countless Reddit users praising its wings, I found myself intrigued by the prospect of an English pub boasting exceptional poultry prowess. Wings, after all, are my Achilles' heel--a culinary indulgence I can never resist.Parking woes notwithstanding, my husband and I lucked out with a spot, arriving early to beat the rush. Stepping inside, we were welcomed with the cozy ambience typical of a quintessential English pub--a promising start to our culinary adventure.Opting for a couple of beers and a scotch egg to kick things off, I found the latter not to my taste, though my husband savored every bite--a testament to personal preferences. But it was the wings that stole the show, surpassing all expectations with their tantalizing flavors and impeccable crispiness.Sampling both the Guinness BBQ and the enigmatic dry rub concoction, I found myself in wing heaven--each bite a symphony of flavors and textures, leaving me craving more long after the plates were cleared.Deciding to cap off the night with a few rounds of darts in the bar area, I savored a couple more pineapple sour beers while my husband graciously stuck to his one beer from dinner since he was driving us. As we bid farewell to Churchill's, I couldn't help but reflect on the accuracy of Reddit's recommendations--the wings were indeed spectacular, and the staff, ever gracious. In conclusion, Churchill's stands as a beacon of culinary excellence in the realm of English pubs, where unexpected delights await at every turn. With its stellar wings and welcoming atmosphere, it has earned its place as a must-visit destination for wing aficionados and pub enthusiasts alike. I, for one, eagerly anticipate my next visit to savor those irresistible wings once more.

I have driven by this place multiple times and finally stopped in. I am a Fish and chips fanatic, and they are pretty good. It was packed on a Wednesday night because it was Wings Wednesday. It took about 45 minutes to be seated, which was okay--spent the time throwing a few back at the bar.Once seated, the service was quick and efficient even with the large crowd. It can get pretty loud. The portions were massive. I was surprised at how big the filets were. Someone posted that the sizes were small, and the pictures don't really show the scale, so I ordered two pieces. I knew I would have a problem finishing everything once the plate was placed in front of me.I only wished they had Pub fries, not regular fast-food-type fries. Regardless, I will be back!

I've been wanting to check out Churchill's in San Marcos for sometime and I'm so glad we finally got there! Despite the dive bar vibe, the service was great. Everyone was so friendly and genuine. We tried a variety of menu items and enjoyed everything. Scotch Egg was tasty. It's a hard boiled egg wrapped in ground sausage and breadcrumbs, then deep fried. Comes with a side of spicy mustard. We also shared an order of English Nachos made with tater tots. Topped with beer cheese which had a grainy texture, bacon bits, sour cream and scallions. The tots sort of fell apart under the beer cheese unfortunately and didn't hold together very well. For dinner I had the Fish, Shrimp & Chips which were excellent. The beer batter fry on the fish was exquisite. Although they didn't use the traditional chunky chips, the standard fries were good, crispy and hot. Definitly among the best versions of this classic British dish I've had in San Diego.

I come in here once in a while when I am in the area. I usually stop in for a sour beer and their wings. They have a good beer menu and have a lot of beers that I like, but their food is just ok. They have the typical bar food, burgers, fries, wings, nothing special. The spicy BBQ wing sauce is great. The service is mediocre everytime I have been in and the parking can be sketchy.

Really great service, the bartenders are always so attentive and on top of it. The food and atmosphere is what you expect from a local bar, but the service sets it apart.
