Chula Seafood

This is my new go-to for local seafood in point Loma. I love their prepared seafood, tuna salad, ceviche, smoked fish. Plenty of options here! Easy to park behind the building. I tried a crab stuffed jalapeño pepper. That was amazing. One cool thing is they let you sample the salads before you buy them.

Great service and fresh seafood to grill at home that's for sure.This is my number one spot if you want fresh seafood with a variety of choices this is the place to be!!

Our friend who lives in Pt Loma recommended this place. We couldn't quite remember the name but we live in Chula Vista and I kept thinking that was the name... well drop the vista... and head south of Jimmy's and Pizza Nova. It's a small shop and we had to ask someone to make sure where the front door was (opposite of bay). Super friendly staff and how cool to get to see your order being carved right off the whole fish! Their prices are fantastic. Apparently they used to sell just to restaurants but Covid changed that. Their selection is really good. We got grouper, halibut and Mexican jumbo shrimp for extremely reasonable prices. Will never go to the big name shop around the corner from them again!! This is a family operation and they close at noon on Saturday. We've got our seafood guy now

This is quite possibly the best seafood market in San Diego. So fresh. They'll tell you what's the freshest if you ask, and they'll go out of your way to give you amazing service. I've had many different fish from this market. The bluefin tuna, the black cod, and several fish collars, which are delicious, baked in the oven. Their prices really beat any supermarket or other general market selling fish. Certainly worth the drive to Point Loma. You can even take a nice stroll along the beautiful docks while you're here. They'll give you ice with your order, but it would be super smart to bring a little cooler with you when you come. It's a 2 lb minimum per fish, but I'm pretty sure you can buy things like calamari, etc, by the pound. Just ask. They're so nice. They'll even give you some cooking ideas for the fish you purchase.

Great fresh, local seafood. You can pick it up at their place on the dock, near Pizza Nova and JFAT. Open M-F 7:30 am- 12:30 pm. You can text to see the types of seafood available for purchase for the day, and you can text your order, or just stop in. Today, I got 2 lbs of their Black Cod, just caught near Long Beach ($14.95/lb) and 2 lbs of local yellowfin (ahi) ($14.95/lb). Can't wait to enjoy them!

I have been getting my seafood from Chula since 2020 pandemic time. They offer the fresh seafood at the best price point you can get in the area for sure. The staff there is friendly and helpful so don't be shy to ask questions if it's your first time there.

this is the fish market you've been looking for!!! i've been to all the other wholesale to the public fish markets and this place blows them away! i usually buy off the boats fresh fish but chula seafood is the best quality i've ever had. yesterday i got some grouper which is hard to find and always limited availability. the fish was perfect, super clean and no smell at all. conner and morgan run the show and are awesome! friendly, honest knowledgeable locals. just go you will not be disappointed.
