Chubby’s Hot Chicken

I'd love to give this place 5 stars but the while the food was good, the whole experience was chaotic.I stopped in to find about 8 people inside waiting for food with not a single person dining in. A bit bizarre and then I looked in the kitchen. Three people all of whom looked fairly overwhelmed. Maybe someone called in sick or there was a rush but you should be prepared for stuff like that.Ordered the foghorn chicken sandwich and was a bit confused with what I got. With a chicken sandwich I expected a chicken breast. Instead I was given a chicken tender sandwich that was a bit underwhelming because it was so messy to eat. Next, the description said jalapeno coleslaw. Excellent. I love jalapeño slaw. What I received was far from it. It was raw, shredded red cabbage and pickled jalapeños from a jar. Just lazy. It was still good but a bit misleading on all fronts.Tighten it up, guys. Make some small service and menu tweaks and this place will do extremely well.Giving three stars because I'd be embarrassed taking a family or significant other here based on what I experienced.

Delicious! I ordered the 3 tender combo, which comes with the tenders, which you can get spicy or not, fries, and a roll. I took my food to go, but there was limited space to eat, although the place was completely empty. I easily could've gotten the 2 chicken tender combo, since I couldn't even finish the meal with 3. The roll just seemed like a roll from a bag, but it definitely helped me cool off my mouth! Overall, yummy chicken and hopefully I'll be back soon!

Huge shout out to Antonio who was my server today! Dropped by during rush hour for dinner before going home. This chicken shop opened about a year ago and they have been killing the game with service and food. I decided to order the Leghorn chicken sando and Antonio gave me a free Mac and cheese side to try (I was skeptical - can't just try anyone's Mac and cheese).The sandwich is massive. fresh cut jalepenos and crispy Cole slaw matched with decently portioned chicken tenders that are crisp to perfection. What more could you ask for?! Do yourself a favor and get medium as a flavor. Hot is overwhelming and if it's your first time, you wouldn't be able to enjoy the goodness of the sandwich. The Mac and cheese is highly cheesy and gooey. It's thick and hearty. Definitely surprised me as a fast food restaurant but I surely enjoyed it. I am sure I will return and grab another item. If you're in the neighborhood, check this place out!

The chicken sandwich tasted great, and that's all that really matters. I was a little disappointed to get some tenders on a bun instead of a nice chunk of chicken like I've seen everywhere else, but it was still good nonetheless. Mac n cheese was also solid. The bathroom was closed and the tables were greasy, but at the end of the day, you're here for a chicken sandwich, and it hit the mark.

You know the food is good when there's only 5 star reviews! I'm so glad I finally got to try Chubby's Hot Chicken. It's a casual restaurant shop on Madison street that has a simple menu. I stopped by for a quick takeout order for lunch. Food came out really fast! I ordered the Foghorn Chicken Sandwich, which is Nashville style chicken with slaw and jalapeños. When looking at the sandwich, the chicken is massive! And, I've got to say that this is one of the best chicken sandwiches that I've tried in the Chicago area so far! The chicken is well fried yet so juicy. The Nashville seasoning gives a kick of spice added on with the flavors from the jalapeños and pickles. I was greatly surprised by Chubby's and definitely recommend! I'll be back for sure!

This is a small chicken establishment located in Forest Park, and it is by far one of the best chicken sandwiches I have had in Illinois. Interior and menu are straight and to the point. Nothing flashy, just a really great sandwich. Service was really quick as well since I came in the middle of the week around 1 pm, so I am not sure how busy things get here. I ordered the Fog Horn Chicken Sando, Nashville style, and it comes with jalapeños slaw, pickles, and a sauce on top. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The Nashville heat is definitely there blended in with the jalapeños slaw. The slaw is also very fresh and flavorful. Definitely compliments this style of sandwich. I highly recommend giving this place a try and making them your go-to chicken sandwich shop.

The service for this place was really good. They were busy but they did a good job relating to the customers. The place is more of a take out spot or an after bar stop in place. The food was good. My wife and I got the chicken sandwhich and we both felt the breading was good but the chicken itself was missing some seasoning.

Best Nashville hot chicken sandwich that I've had outside of Nashville. Medium heat was plenty. Kids had the chicken nuggets. Extremely juicy. Onion rings were fine. Not on the same level as the chicken. Will definitely be back.

very good fat chicken sandwich seasoning is a dry seasoning. It's not dipped in anything. but very good would definitely eat again. wish I got the mac & cheese instead of the french fries next time. Service is great. They're very nice. I like the artwork on the walls.
