Chubby’s Cheesesteaks

Chubby is once again offering his outstanding grilled Italian sub - my joy is complete! All the spicy Italian cuts I love, with balsamic vinegar and oil, the authentic experience! Mangia!

We were hungry and wanted something light to eat for lunch. First off, customer service here is top notch! The owner is super friendly and treated us like family from the get go. The menu is simple and servings are huge. You definitely get your bang for your bucks here. We got 2 turkey and cheese sandwiches and an order of fries. The fries were served up quick and hot. They were super good crispy crinkle fries. The sandwiches came out pretty quick. Everything on them was fresh and their bread is like the size of a French bread loaf you get at the grocery store. They were big, loaded with the goods and super good!Overall a great place to get a hot or cold sandwich. Their cheesesteaks are great I hear but we are more of turkey peeps. Definitely give them a try and we will be back in the future!

I've been visiting Wickenburg since my dad moved here a few years ago, and somehow I'd never been to Chubby's Cheesesteaks. Now that I know about it I'm going to have to trade of between their cheesesteaks and the tacos next door. Chubby's is a clean cute little log cabin on the side of the road. The staff is friendly even though they were clearly busy when we came in. Everything from the bread to the pickled peppers tasted fresh. My dad and I split the cheesesteak hoagie which was huge! The steak tasted very lean and was not greasy at all. I loved the cool crunch of the lettuce on the hoagie style. My only criticism is the styrofoam cups aren't very eco friendly, but I realize this is AZ and I'm probably the outlier.

If you are going to eat in Wickenberg Az you should definitely pick this family business over any chain fast food in town . Lots of outdoor seating with umbrellas at the ready and PET FRIENDLY. We felt welcomed and that they present their food with pride , but it still manages to be prepared pretty "fast" as well ! The prices were really good especially since they were very chubby sandwiches! Having stayed in Philly we noted the bread was proper as was the Cheeze Whiz . We really could have shared the chubby cheesesteak (with grilled mushrooms and onions) but I was craving a burger and at only 4bucks for a fat juicy cheeseburger with all the fresh toppings , I was not sorry . We would definitely go here again. Chubbys is possibly even "road trip worthy".

Such a delicious cheese steak. Got the cheesesteak with cheese wiz, it was hot and juicy with caramelized onions. The bread was soft and fresh, the meat was hot and perfectly seasoned. The staff is so nice and the service was fast. Clean shop in a convenient location. 10/10 I would recommend. I will be back soon!

Ok. Let's start with...small town and a local favorite. Then let's move to...OMG, this is really tasty. Then to...wait? That's the price, really ($8 average)! I LOVE SMALL TOWNS!!!!! How can something sooo simple taste so goooood? I didn't get fries because you know....Covid 20#s of growth, but still...you need a chubby!

A buddy and I stopped there today for the first time after 4-wheeling in the desert and we both ordered the cheesesteak with everything and cheese wiz. The sandwich was easily 12" long and loaded with steak and the extras to where it was falling out of the bun for $8.50! The owner making them was from Philly and man was that sandwich AWESOME! I order fries and a small soda as well and could barely finish the fries! Next time, and for sure there will be a next time, I probably won't order the fries, just too much food. The picture I added below is only with half the sandwich!Also I would have easily paid $10 for that sandwich!

I would get the crew a sub from Chubby's Cheesesteaks whenever contractors were working on the house/property ... or family had come to visit. It was a tradition, short-lived when the owner died.I'm happy to report that the food truck located behind the Frontier Street building has continued the excellent sandwich-making, and they're very good people: excellent service, good prices. Ambiance? What can I tell you, except they have some shade provided while you wait. It's damned unfair to have the aroma of cooking beef wafting through the air. Makes you hungry. Well, by no coincidence...

Was working in Wickenburg and looked up sandwiches on yelp found this place. Ordered the cheesesteak hoagie and it was delicious. The fries are great too, must have with American cheese sauce. Great place with even better service.
