The ambiance and the food were incredible. The staff was very on top of it and amazing , but I would ask for them to get better intel of the menu. Small bites are great for sharing, but what is not shared is that the meals and entrées are meant for parties of 4-6 they are not individual meals which we were not informed of. So just prepared to take a lot of food home which always isn't easy when you're planning a night out in Nashville. But honestly, my entire table agreed we would go back for all of the small plates. The scallion pancake. The smashed cucumbers and my absolute favorite that I would like 20 more servings of the yellowtail tuna

Service was absolutely excellent - our server constantly filled out glasses with water, replaces silverware, replaced napkins that were dropped, etc. very attentive.Ambiance was nice. Loved the jade tables and esthetic of choy!Food: the duck really is their crowed jewel. Pricey but enough food for 4 and if you add 2-3 apps that's all you really need. I wasn't blown away by the apps. Ordered the pressed-tuna, squid pasta, turnip, and pancake and I'd say of all those the scallion pancake was the winner! Will definitely go back!

Absolutely a delight ! Olivia is wonderful! Our group loved the cocktails especially the house of Choy, bar staff is a delight, service is wonderful! Not your typical gulch spot but this is definitely a return. Loved sitting in the birds nest spot. Aaron is an elite server, knows the menu and knows how to pair things

A couple friends recently have commented that they wished Nashville had a good "fancy Chinese" spot, and Choy has come along to meet that need. Service was terrific, food was great, and drinks were fun (extensive wine list available!). I especially appreciated that both the small plates and the larger dishes were creative and delicious: sometimes I find one course outshines the other, but here the experience was consistent throughout. I'd highly recommend everything we ordered: the yellowtail tuna, the Taiwanese-style eggplant, the shrimp fried rice, and the Peking duck. All together, it was too much food for two, but we received a carefully-packed bag of takeout that reheated beautifully the next day. The setting feels a bit like a fancy club, so it's a good date-night spot with secluded private booths for two or four.

WONDERFUL dinner! I will definitely recommend for work dinner events. Great ambiance! The bar revamp looks beautiful and inviting; the red back wall banquet is very cool; the servers were all very obviously well trained. Server was spot on to suggest the scallion pancake - the sous vide onion confit for dipping was addictive! Very upscale experience. Felt vibrant as the place filled up for the night. The "welcome" cup of green tea was a nice touch and the hot-and-sour soup presentation was FABULOUS. Loved the little nasturtium lily pads. The chrysanthemum ice milk was such a sweet surprise! Generous portion and a delightful crunchy topping. Also loved the use of agave straws (not plastic! Not paper!). Our cocktails were definitely on point and delicious (It's Not Easy, Harvest Moon, and the non-alcoholic Better Believe cocktails). I'm hard pressed to really narrow down what our "favorite" food/drink items were because EVERYTHING was so good! Love the family style service. Flounder was SUPER COOL presentation and VERY delicious, but an adventure to eat politely. Same comment with the ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS bok choy. So, so good, but it was hard to break apart from the stem without a knife or using our fingers, to actually eat it. I wish this new spot every success! As a transplant from the SF bay area, I yearn for and appreciate such good Asian food!

Everything we had was incredible from the service to drinks and of course, the food! Usually new restaurants can be iffy when first opening but not Choy! Best parts of the night were the green beans, chicken dirty rice and the Peking duck!! Our cocktail favorites "Duck Walk" (look at those duck feet in the foam ) and the "Family Meal." Our service was so good from start to finish. Thanks to Michael, Justin and Nishaan for taking care of us! We will definitely be back!!!

Choy blew me out the park. It's upscale, modern, and classy. The food and hospitality did it for me. I am overwhelmed because I could write a paragraph of how amazing my experience was, but I will summarize by saying it's on the top of my best eats in nashville. Everything was so presentable and I will be back. My only complaint would be chopping the wagyu beef in the beef chow fun a little smaller. It came out in big pieces that were hard to chew. However, everything was perfect. The tuna appetizer was so fresh and paired well with the watermelon slices. The drinks were amazing.

Had the pleasure of trying out Choy on their opening night and man am I glad we did. Our server Kyle was so kind, personable, and on top of his game. Didn't get a picture of the yellowtail tuna because we ate it within 10 seconds of being sent to our table - SO GOOD!!! All of the dishes were unique and tasty. One of the owners, Nishaan, greeted us and talked about how the food is traditional Chinese, but using ingredients that are more southern. They've managed to create the perfect blend, I don't have a bad thing to say about any of the dishes we tried. You can tell that Nishaan's years in the industry have paid off to create this gem - can't wait to go back!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Choy. From the moment we walked in until we left we felt like the service was impeccable. My wife is still raving about the scallion pancake and the greens beans. I loved the nardello peppers and beef chow fun (it's huge!). The cocktails were delicious and my wife found a new favorite wine based on a recommendation by our server. It was a perfect place for date night. We will be back!

Alright, let me just say, Choy is the vibe Nashville didn't know it needed. This place is more than just a restaurant - it's an experience. The second you walk in, the dark, moody lighting wraps you up in this sexy, intimate atmosphere. It feels like you're about to stumble upon a secret jazz dinner speakeasy or something. The menu? Yeah, it's small, but that's the point, right? Every dish feels curated with intention. You're not gonna find a 12-page menu here (thank God). Each bite is layered, nuanced, and clearly designed by someone who cares about ingredients and flavor. It's like they took the concept of Chinese cuisine and gave it this artisanal twist. Think elevated shareable dishes with Asian opulence and Nashville swagger. Now, the drinks? Let's talk about their cocktail program. They are creative, bold, and totally unexpected. Check out the menu on this site. From concept to presentation to flavor, we had options that were just... next level. Designated drivers were not forgotten, as the mocktails looked just as well constructed as the cocktails. And the wine list? It's extensive. We're talking niche, boutique producers and some natural wine picks you rarely see. You can tell they've put in the work to offer something for every palate (and then some).Yes, it's on the pricier side, but honestly? For the experience you're getting, it's worth it. Choy has that effortless cool factor that feels both laid-back and sophisticated, all while hitting you with flavor bombs you won't stop thinking about. Go. Trust me, it's that good.
