Late night munchies. Definitely get the wings, they're delicious. I also got chow fun and it was kinda bland and I wish it was more saucy. Luckily, just plop a soy sauce packet in and it should help. 25 dollars for these two things tho? It's alright but at 12am it's greatFood: 7/10Value: 5/10

This is a regular Asian joint for high speed take out. But it doesn't live up to the rep of the archetype. Two points to offer in support:1) they have a regular and large size, which is a decision nobody wants to make at the outset. The regular is tiny, so you should probably order the large.2) the essential dishes are absent flavor and quality ingredients. For example, I ordered something schezuan, and it came out pretty bland. I put in old kimchi that I had at home to make it work. The chicken was rubbery with no flavor. It's saving grace is that it is open, even on Christmas Day. But so are other Asian takeout joints. I'd recommend you pass on this, until they improve.

These other reviews are ridiculous. The food is good. Just as good as Dumpling House. Amazing prices (16.95 for all my food). Excellently wrapped (cardboard on the bottom of bag, no spillage); generous with sauces; fast delivery!!!

Complete opposite experience from 3 years ago. Delivery took forever, got someone else's completely wrong order. The food I did receive was greasy, oily, and swimming in sauce. The chicken fingers were stale and flavorless. Will be crossing this off the list forever.

I eat their food often. Right up there with Tiki Island in Medford.I usually get a quart of hot and sour soup and Singapore rice noodles.

I had previously ordered from here one other time and did not enjoy it. A few days ago (a year or two later) I got delivery from here again having forgotten my original experience, and then swiftly realized my error. Once again the food did not taste great and wasn't overly fresh. I ordered the basics: Vegetable Lo Mein and General Gau's Chicken. The recipes have apparently not changed. I hate to give such a poor rating but the primary reason why I Yelp is to keep a log of my own experiences so I can check back and remember what was good/what wasn't for the next time, and I hope to not make the mistake with Chow n' Joy again, unfortunately.I receive a lot of advertisements for this place and the photos are very enticing. I wish I could say it was worth testing out again but after 2 consecutive bad meals here I just can't say that I want to try another. I hope this criticism will be taken constructively and that some adjustments will be made so that the food can be as good as the pictures!

Sorry, but this is NOT chow mein. .Also ordered bbq pork buns. They're decent. Walnut shrimp was also decent. Deep fried in bready (not crunchy) batter. Served with some candied walnuts, kewpie/sweet mayo, and a few raw/lightly steamed broccoli.Ready to pickup in 10 minutes.

This is my go-to for American-Chinese delivery. Overall, they provide good-to-decent food at very reasonable prices for the area, and I appreciate the consistency in their service. My favorites from this place are:- General Gau Chicken, Sesame Chicken- Sesame Beef, Orange Flavor Beef- Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Teriyaki- Spare Ribs- Korean Fish Corn Dog (*note below)I personally find their dumplings (home-made dumplings and shumaI) to be OK - like I'll get them if I'm specifically in the mood for those items, but I'd never go out of my way to get them.I also appreciate that Chow n' Joy is one of the few places in the area that still do the combo specials that let you pair entrees, rice and appetizers.*Oh, regarding the Korean Fish Corn Dog: I believe the meat in the corn dog is fished-based and is more of a fish-cake than a traditional hot dog weiner. It's also Korean style so there is a sweetness to it, including some okonomiyaki sauces - I personally like this but I can see westerners being surprised if they were expecting a traditional American corn dog.

I discovered this restaurant about a year agoMy sister and I are fond of Cantonese style cuisine!I ordered through Uber eats 2 orders of Dumplings and 1char sue boa! After well over an hour my order was cancelled !The Uber driver reported that their delivery person picked up my / her order to be delivered to me!Here's the problem instead of remaking my order they found it easier to CANCEL the order and send me nothing! So RUDE! I am a former Chinese Restaurant owner I would never have treated my customers this way!I would have told the driver hold on we will remake it 15 minutes! Instead CHOW AND JOYChose to Cancel! If I had ordered directly from the restaurant they would not have done this!So after 1 1/2 hours I didn't even get an apology from anyone!I'm boycotting Uber Eats for not making the restaurant replace the order! Chow and joys for being so uncaring!
