Went here after a great fabulous Easter service at church with some friends. We sat down and had a great gossip session, this food is recommended to eat during a juicy gossip session because it's yummy but very cheap compared to the San Diego restaurant scene.I got the chicken teriyaki with spicy tuna bento combo and it was good. The spicy tuna roll could have been a bit better, it wasn't the freshest but would eat again! The teriyaki was cooked well but it doesn't have that "grilled" texture. I love Chopstix because it reminds me of actual homecooked Japanese food. We came on Sunday for lunch and it was only a few mins wait! Parking was very tough but you usually can find street parking at that time still.

Super sad to do this but this is not acceptable. Tonight I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and found a big piece of glass while I was eating. I actually bit into it, as it was hidden in the sauce and rice. I shared my food with my daughter who wanted to try it, luckily I bit the glass and not her! I let the servers know about, they apologized like a million times. I told them that they need to talk to the cooks cause that big ass piece of glass could have really hurt someone. Like who cracks a bottle of glass into food and doesn't throw the entree away and start over from scratch!!! This had me pissed off! Anyway they took my food away and didn't even ask me if I wanted to order something else. I mean I was pissed but still hungry, I just sat there and watched my family finishing their meals. I didn't pay as they said it was on the house (which it should be!)They Lost a costumer today! Beware of the Curry!!!

Chopstix is a good sushi place to go to for lunch! I'd recommend for its value and taste, as it is not pricey.I have been here 4-5 times before with friends or take-out. The service is decent. Sometimes a bit rude. It seems like an establishment where you just order, get your food, and leave. When I ordered take-out, despite me standing at their counter, I had to wait over 5 minutes for acknowledgement. Same goes with dining in, the waiter is not really friendly or receptive to requests. There is one staff member who is friendly, but I've only seen her once.The crunchy roll is cheap - there is 5 pieces and it is bigger. They have a variety of rolls, if that is your style. I have tried their dragon rolls, alaskan, popcorn lobster, etc. and they are all pretty tasty and standard. The rolls here are much tasty with their California rolls spin-offs and sauces, but the fish is just okay. They also have udon dishes if you want to eat noodles. The place itself is pretty small but spacious. There is a sliding door when you come in. Additional parking in the back if necessary behind Happy Lemon. Would recommend for a quick lunch with friends, as there is not much wait. For a nicer dinner, there are many options near such as Ototo, Harmony, Hitokuchi, etc.

I've been here before, but it's been years. I came here with a couple of co-workers after work to eat lunch. The server is the same one from back then from last time I ate here! I ordered the bento box combo - Chicken Teriyaki with steam rice, salad, and miso soup. The food has always been delish! I highly recommend it you ever crave Japanese food!

Food and service is top notch! Came in on Friday evening and got a table within minutes. Ordered the chicken katsu entree and double double roll. Food came out quickly and very tasty. Would recommend and come back again. Good value!!Parking on the other hand is sllim but always found it when we went.

Solid Japanese restaurant with a large menu with good food.My party of 4 came by for dinner around 6 pm on Sunday. We got incredibly lucky with parking, as one car was about to leave in the back parking lot and we snagged the spot. Otherwise, it's a small parking lot supporting multiple restaurants, and I don't know where everyone parks.There were a couple tables open at Chopstix, so we got seated immediately. Service was a bit slow, and we had to wait a while to get water and place orders.The menu has a bit of everything. There are plenty of rice dishes, cold and hot noodles, soup noodles, bento, and sushi rolls to choose from. That was great for us, as everyone ordered something different. I was seriously blown away by their noodle soup selection as there were so many topping options and it was very customizable with your preferred type of broth and noodles.We shared the karaage ($8.95), which was good but I found it a bit on the bland side. For my main, I got the Dragon Roll ($13.95) and the salmon roll ($5.95). Both were good, but I thought the sushi rice was a little bit too soft and sticky. Maybe it was a bit overcooked?My friends got the chicken yakisoba ($11.95), tonkatsu curry rice ($13.95), and the deluxe tempura tonkotsu ramen ($12.95). Everyone enjoyed their food and agreed portions were massive, especially given the price.I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a Japanese spot in Convoy! But good luck with the parking.

I got the chicken katsu curry rice and my sister got the chicken katsu bento box with the crunchy roll. We both enjoyed our dishes and were amazed by the portions and how extensive the menu was! We got lucky with parking and found parking right in front. We went for Saturday lunch and got seated right away. Friendly service and I would go back to try the other menu items!

Came here for my spouse's birthday dinner, the food was fresh and carefully prepared. Everything tasted like it was freshly prepared there. We had the gyoza appetizer, mabo pork katsu w/curry plate, salmon teriyaki don which both came with miso soup and salad. The service was attentive and welcoming. The space is a small restaurant with an intimate setting. I really enjoyed and would definitely come back again. Would recommend for Japanese food on convoy street.
