I've been going here for years and it never disappoints. Extra crispy general tsos tofu is my go to! Fast service and always delicious. Don't sleep on this place.

I ordered a shrimp & veggie lunch combo with a spring roll & crab puff as well as a veggie plate with fried rice from Chopstick Express, wanting to give the nearby restaurant a try. Before I picked up my order, I took insulin because I'm a T1 diabetic & must have insulin before eating. Once I got home, I tried the spring roll - it was the only thing that tasted semi-fresh. But it wasn't good. The crab puff was old, hard, dark brown, not flaky & tasted as if fried in old oil. I couldn't eat the whole thing.I hoped the veggie plate or shrimp with veggies would be better, but the veggies were so soft because they'd been obviously overcooked & tasted like they'd been in the brown sauce for days. I'm used to Chinese food with veggies so fresh, they're still crunchy & have great color to them. Not these. These were SWIMMING in sauce & tasted old & bland. The fried rice was very darkly colored & I saw no egg, carrots or peas, as is traditional. What was worse though was the fact it simply tasted old & stale, again like it'd been fried in old oil.Regardless, I had to eat something so that I wouldn't drop to dangerously low sugar levels, so I ate the spring roll, what I could of the crab puff, & a couple bites each of veggies and rice. Literally ate just enough to ensure I didn't face low sugars. I called because I thought that $30 was worth it to see if I could get a refund & told the girl who answered the phone that I hated to complain, but nothing tasted fresh & it all tasted like it'd been sitting there for a long time. The girl said "well it's all premade but we haven't gotten complaints about it." No apology offered. And I just thought, was it "premade 3 days ago?!?" So I said, "sorry but I'm not going to eat this," so she told me to bring it back & that her manager may be able to do something. It felt odd to do, but I needed to run out for another errand that was on the way, so I brought the food back. The woman (obviously the owner) opened the boxes & told me "you ate this" (ummm don't you have to try something to know it's terrible?!?) and I said, "yes, I had to eat something to not drop low, but I only ate a few bites, you can tell." I even showed her my insulin pump. And she said "no, you ate half." God, do I wish I had taken pics of the containers before taking them back because there wasn't even a 1/4 of the food eaten, let alone half!!! I was SHOCKED!! I said, "I certainly didn't eat half, look at the container!" & she argued saying she filled it "extra full" herself & knew that I'd eaten "most" of it. There was food to every edge of these containers ppl! I would NEVER eat most of any food I purchased from a business & then return it to try to get my money back ! I worked in the restaurant industry for years! I even tipped like $5 on this pickup order! I said, "I don't know how you can call me a liar when clearly half this container isn't gone & regardless, I'm bringing back two boxes full of food." To which she said, "half of which you ate."I have NEVER been so flabbergasted in my life. I said "you're obviously not going to help me, I'll just dispute this charge on my card" and I left. Literally unreal. You'd be better off going to Panda Express or something. Or, better yet, for GOOD, FRESH Chinese, go to Golden Gate on Baseline & The 101. They have great, fresh food, an A health rating, & great customer service. Don't make the same mistake I did. Avoid Chopstick Express unless you like old food cooked in old oil & sauces & terrible customer service.Never again!!!!! Still reeling. Hope I don't get sick...

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for years! I finally got around to it and I'm kicking myself for not having done it sooner. Tasty old school Chinese food, great portions and reasonable prices. We ordered the chicken fried rice (it was a buy one get one free) and General Tso's. Both were delicious! All the chicken was white meat and the General Tso's was not too sweet. I've been eyeing their chow mein and will be giving that a try next. Highly recommend it is you're looking for American style Chinese food.

The food was incredible it's funny to me that this place has been so close so long and I am just now trying it . The chicken fried rice was with white meat . When I called in I asked the lady for hot mustard and chilli oil she had no issue giving it to me and already had it in the bag . Most places charge or you have to remind . My hunan beef was beyond flavorful they're prices are amazing and you get a great amount . I'll be back soon to try more items forsure .

Awesome takoyaki! My roommate said the noodles and beef were tasty, the hibachi beef was a little lacking in the beef but otherwise accommodating my order for no rice+ extra veggies at no charge was awesome! Will eat from here again!

I have eaten at Chopstick Expresa for over 15 years. They have a great menu. They are prompt with their service. Wonderful employees. I'm vegetarian so I love that they can make anything with tofu. And they just started serving cheesecake. Oh my!

I have been eating their food for years. Quality, quantity, and service is great. I was an advisor in RVN and ate on the economy for a large portion of my meals, so I feel qualified to offer an opinion on Asian cuisine. I looked at some of the negative comments and felt an "ugly American" vibe in some of them. In short, I recommend them without reservation.

Beware of their POS system. They hustle for tips and the default amounts for my $10 order today was $3, $5 or $7 (30% - 70%). They stare you down while you complete your transaction. Foods fine though.
