Tiki bars are a must for me on any trip. Chopper is a unique and delicious delight. Excellently balanced and complex tiki cocktails, ranging from the classics to gorgeous new inventions. Here's what we had ~Mai Tai ~ Rum, Curaçao, Orgeat, Demerara, LimeDopamine ~ Bourbon, Rum, Coffee, Coconut, Cinnamon and LemonGet to the Choppa!! ~ Jamaican Rum, Meletti Amaro, Cynar, Maraschino, Campari, Passionfruit, Pineapple, LimeThe bartenders are super rad and accommodating. Chopper will be on my itinerary for each and every trip to Nashville!

Chopper is a cool cocktail spot in East Nashville sitting on the corner of Stratton and Gallatin. The signage is small, but just look for the food truck and outdoor seating and you will soon see Chopper. As noted, Chopper is a cocktail bar only, so no food...but the aforementioned food truck has you covered there. We swung by on Sunday afternoon around 4:30 PM and the place was already busy, just 30 minutes after opening. We grabbed a table outside and moments later, a server came by and got the party started. While you can get basic cocktails, wine and beer...I don't know why you would want to since they offer a fun, flavorful and potent selections of tiki inspired cocktails. There are two drinks on the menu that you are only allowed to have one of, so naturally me and my buddy started with them. After having one of each "1 per person" drink, we were able to tell why they made that rule. Those drinks were delicious and STRONG! Those who got the less potent cocktails were equally as pleased, but not as visibly happy as us! The Puka Punch is where it's at! They have a solid menu of cocktails that stay on rotation, but they also release seasonal menu which are equally as good! Our server was friendly, helpful and overall joy to have. While we spent all our time outdoors, the inside was lovely, bright and true to theme. Booths lining the walls, lights lining the bar and tiki decor throughout. A fun and chill spot for a cocktail. Parking can be tricky depending on when you go. There is a small lot for the complex they are in, and if that is full then there are plenty of street spaces on the nearby neighborhood streets. Overall, cool spot with a good vibe and great cocktails!

First of all, Nashville... how dare you do tiki and do it so well. That's not allowed!Drinks were well balanced and tasty, theming was on-point, and the staff were nothing short of superior!Who thought the ambience of robo-tiki would translate into the coolest bathroom of all time?I'll be back.

Definitely a great place for some awesome drinks. The ambience and staff was very welcoming and the drinks were very good. A must when visiting Nashville!

A nice place to grab a drink. I wasn't overly impressed with the way the drinks tasted, but it was a cute atmosphere and I love the partnership with the food truck outside to bring ordered food to the tables. Our server was nice and helpful in trying to find drinks we all liked.

I had the best experience at chopper this place has a great atmosphere and even better bartenders. What a coincidence it was that I walked in and started chitchatting with the bartender, and we both realize that we both were going to Tiki by the sea together at different times. So that should tell you a lot about this bar, that their bartenders are experienced and are consistently learning about Tiki culture and cocktails. That in itself was so impressive to me. The drinks were so funny and had a lot of taste, but the best part was their tiki mugs of chopper himself. They also sold many other mugs, having several different varieties to choose from. The atmosphere was so chill I love the lighting and the ambience of the place. Chopper I'm definitely coming back to visit you next time. I'm in Nashville.

I can't say enough nice things about this place. Nashville is such a strange town, if you're a tourist for work and you're not into country music, you might feel a little bit left out - but then you wander into someplace like chopper and you realize that Tikki culture is amazing and you should spend more time here. This place is great, the bartenders are so good, they also sell Tiki mugs and it's fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough!!!

Wow! My favorite place to grab drinks in Nashville! Ladies and gentlemen get your cameras ready because these tiki mugs (especially the seasonal ones) are going to be the star of the photo! Not only do they taste delicious- they look phenomenal! Added bonus you can buy the mug if you especially love it! Very cute atmosphere- It has me wanting to go every week!Definitely easier to park at than somewhere in Downtown Nashville, very "hip" area. Right down the street from the famous Dinos! Attention Nashville THIS is the place you're going to want to bring your friends - 12/10! So happy we stumbled upon this place!! (not pictured- my friend also ordered the Milk Punch XVI and LOVED it)

Our waitress was great and very friendly. However our bar tender with the flat bill hat was very rude and unprofessional and kept talking down to me and my friend. The drink I ordered smelled like rotten cheese/feet. I would probably skip this one.
