There's not much I can add to these reviews beyond the other things that have been said except to give perspective on how appealing and delicious the food is to the most picky eaters. My dad is not adventurous and yet I was able to get him to try the Greens & Tings. He ate it all-incident trying plantains for the first time and he enjoyed the entire meal. This is my go-to spot at The Post with my favorite item being The Trad. I love that they keep a consistent line but the staff is always friendly. When you visit, skip the soft drink options and order the Oga Palmer (a hibiscus tea and lemonade). The food is fresh, hot and has all the right flavors to appease your tastebuds. This is truly one of the hottest food options in Houston and you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't try it. They live up to their values and all the exposure (Top Chef, special vendor at Toyota Center), and accolades they have received including Chef Amosu's 2024 James Beard Emerging Chef nomination.

I had the "Trad" with a sparkling orange drink, and the dish reminded me of jambalaya. The chicken (slightly overcooked) and chopped sausage have some spiciness that is well balanced by the stewed plantains. Brussel sprouts are a bit too raw and crunchy for me; I prefer them more tender. My order was ready in about 3-4 minutes since I placed it. Usually, fast turnover times mean that they prepare the dish ahead of time and just reheat it to order. Thankfully, this dish has no indication of being out for too long.

I was at POST for a concert next door and ordered a Trad Bowl here beforehand. It was flavorful, appropriately priced for the venue, and came out pretty quickly. There's definitely enough for one and a half meals.

So I just had to update my last review because I had the meat patty today and yaaaaaaaas. Okay to the flaky crust and flavorful beef inside. I dipped it in the curry sauce and we were good to go. My niece washed it down with their Habiscus drink, so she was in heaven. Glad she gave me a bite. Be sure to try these and thank me later.

This spot in the POST serves African food. They were giving out little samples of the curry, which were quite yummy. We decided to try the trad (jambalaya, chicken, vegetables, and plantains). It was a solid meal. The chicken was quite tender. The jambalaya was a little spicier than I anticipated. The portion of jambalaya was quite large. The amount of veggies was pretty small. On weekends Fri-Sun, parking is free for the first 20 mins, but then it's $5/hour. You pay online and then you get 30 mins buffer to leave.

WHY DIDN'T I TRY THIS FOOD SOONER???!! I don't think you need my opinion since you can already see a lot of great reviews Inside POST HTX food court ChōpNBlok is bringing all the flavor of west Africa to our palates. It's my first time in this place so I went for the popular Golden Bowl!! That curry made me start dancing to afrobeats .It was a BIG bowl with a spicy yellow curry, grilled chicken (I don't know what they added but it tasted amazing) , jollof rice, beans, and other delicious add ons that mixed together became an explosion of flavors.I need to come back and try everything else, definitely will become one of my go-to favorites.I just wish they open another location I don't really like the food court vibe but other than that everything in this place is amazing! And let's not forget how stylish the deco is !! ******GOLDEN BOWL = TEARS OF DELIGHT******

There are a lot of interesting food options at POST Market, but none are more more celebrated or more successful than ChopnBlok. They've done an outstanding job in showcasing west African inspired fare through fast casual execution becoming the food court's most popular and quite possibly, tastiest stall in the process. The stall is as small and tight as others, but they've managed to turn what little room they have into a contemporary modern and inviting space. They've managed to stand out by being one of the only businesses to openly offer food and drink samples, which has been instrumental in hooking in new customers to the fold. This is especially impressive since their stall isn't the most visible and is semi-tucked away in the corner of the court. Some of those samples usually include their golden bowl and a swig of their oga palmer, two of their biggest best sellers. The golden bowl is a souped up version of their trad ($16) is a combination of coconut curry, black-eyed peas over strips of chicken over bed of jollof jambalaya and sweet fried kelewele. The green & tings bowl features a Ghanaian style steak skewer doused with yaji and ginger, topped over rice, braised collard greens with a bit of kale with plantains. The motherland ($14) is a vegan friendly bowl, with white rice, curry, yaji, and stewed plantains. The aforementioned oga palmer is hibiscus tea with fresh lemonade and is the perfect drink to wash everything down with.Service varies a bit like any location, but the hipster'y staff is generally friendly even if they're a bit slow at times. I think the portions could be a little more substantial given the price, which has felt skimpier and skimpier as time has gone on.At the end of the day, all first timers to the food court owe it to themselves to try out ChopnBlok. Their marketing is some of the best I've seen for a business like this. The hype is subjective, but when it comes down to it, they have a winning recipe for quality food in one of Houston's most unique food court venues.

I tried a sample once and never forgot the flavors. Today I finallu made it back to ChopnBlok to get the full experience. It was delicious and rich. The flavors were amazing. While I was waiting on my order, the employee up front was serving up samples of the golden bowl that I had just ordered. I got the sample after her insistence. I also got a sample of the hibiscus drink they make fresh daily!Took my meal over to Unknown Address and enjoyed it tremendously. It was hot, fresh, rich, and full of flavor!

Absolutely deliciousWe were walking around and saw that they were giving out free samples of their Motherland Curry bowl. It was delicious so we opted to get the full sized bowl. It was prepared quickly and tasted just as good. We also got the beef empanadas which were also great. I'd recommend saving some of the curry sauce and dipping them in it.Overall good experience and would stop by if at the Post again.
