Best steak in Arizona!! The steaks are all seasoned very well and cooked to perfection everytime! We have been here 10+ times and I recommend CHoP to every person looking for the best steakhouse. The seafood is great as well. I also recommend the pretzels, boar and cheese as a starter great flavor. Very high end and romantic ambiance, dark lights and great service. All of the staff are kind, welcoming and professional.

Came in to try this place for Restaurant Week. Wasn't super excited about the menu, but friends really wanted to go. For $55 per person, I had high hopes it'd be tasty and the somewhat limited menu would be worth it. Bang bang shrimp was the chosen appetizer and it was delish! Definitely the highlight of the meal! Friend tried the wagyu meatballs, which were giant and amazing! On the menu, it said meatball (singular) so I don't think anyone else chose it because who wants just one meatball? On to the main course. Couple of us chose the mahi mahi. Meh. My potatoes were non-existent. The broccolini was terrible--chewy yet hard and had to be sawed through with a steak knife. That didn't get eaten. A friend ordered the filet cooked medium, but couldn't eat most of it, as it was served closer to rare. Only one option given for dessert--the lime tart, which was supremely sweet. Several people went off-menu and ordered the toffee bread pudding, which was great! $18 glass of wine. While our server was very nice, there were no water refills until we got to dessert and we were missing silverware throughout the courses. Kind of an odd mix of things going on inside--it's a cute restaurant inside, but there are sports on tv, top 40 music playing, and it's really difficult to see with the ambiance lighting. Pro tip: if you tap the top of the light, it gets brighter! For those who ordered off-menu, their totals were over $100. Not at all worth the $90 I spent, was beyond disappointing, and not a place I'd return to.

This place was amazing and I can't wait to go back. We initially went here on accident and decided we'd go back. We sat at the bar and made it in right before the crowd arrived. In recommend going early if you can. I had the bang bang shrimp and shared some of my hubs fries, both were amazing. I can go on and on about this meal but I highly suggest you trying it yourself. The marg was so good that I drank it super fast. I loved it and had two. Hubs loves his wings as well and said they were some of the best he's ever had. Definitely try them out!

Our yearly visit to Whirlwind is not complete without experiencing this gem. Wish they would put one in N Scottsdale?Ambience is great, food is consistently wonderful, staff are always friendly and you too can experience the thickest biggest pork chop that exists outside of a large hog. Menu has some great choices, the facility is split up into formal dinning, outside patio, bar seating or large group high tops. The different meats we've had here are always cooked perfectly, great price on oysters and very flexible menu options. The bar has a very large selection of all kinds.

Ended up coming here a few weeks ago for restaurant week. Got an earlier reservation. It was getting packed as our time there went on, so definitely a good idea to make a reservation when possible. Luckily our reservation coincided with happy hour. The grapefruit cosmo I got was strong. The grapefruit couldn't hide the alcohol. The shrimp from the shrimp cocktail was surprisingly very fresh. They were quite large too. Filet mignon was a bit disappointing as it wasn't that tender. However, they did cook it at a good medium rare. I loved the brussels sprouts sides we got that wasn't part of the restaurant week set. They were cooked well, and the sauce was delicious. Bread pudding was too sweet for me. I was done with it after a few bites.Overall, the restaurant week deal was pretty worth it. Very filling, and the price wasn't bad.

The asparagus at Chop was delicious. I like how large they were. The mac and cheese had a cheddar crumble on top. I think it was a cheddar tasting bread. At least it was crunchy like a cheese it might be. I thought it was a little like a crunchy cheddar cracker crumble. The macaroni and cheese itself was creamy. I didn't think that part of the dish was overwhelming, which was good. The macaroni itself was softer rather than on the al dente side. The filet was delicious. It was very smokey and charred on top. I know some people like wood fired meat. This is a wood fired steakhouse. Looks like they fire grill the seafood too. There is a wood grilled seafood section on the menu. The pork chops were amazing. The meat was soft and tender and fell right off the bone. The braised beef is very filling and delicious. It is very soft and tender. One night it was moist and flavorful. The other night it was a bit dry. The mashed potatoes tasted amazing the first night. The carrot and broccoli was good too the first time I went. The crispy calamari has a thick bread coating. It is similar to what you would find on a mozzarella stick. The sauce tasted like a sauce that would go well with a mozzarella stick too. I think it tasted like marinara. The menu description says that it is a chili Calabrian sauce. I didn't think it tasted spicy at all. Surprisingly the calamari didn't come out as rings. They were cut into sticks. They also had the mouth feel of mozzarella sticks. The service was fast and we got our food quickly. The restaurant was dark and I thought it was very cozy. They had two tv screens showing games being played at the bar. I wasn't paying attention. It could have been football and basketball. I liked how the tables were spaces apart from each other.

Been here many times for work and it's great but also has a good date night ambience. Has a dark steak house atmosphere. Good menu. love the Maui ribeye but this last time went with the seabass. It was good, didn't seam fresh but still cooked well and offered lots of flavor. I wish I stuck with the rib-eye. Went with a side of Brussels sprouts and cauliflower and they were prepared well. My husband went with the filet and was not disappointed. Good friendly service. Wasn't busy for a Weds night. Offered private dining room. Full service bar. Wine flights!!!! Would be happy to return!

Nice staff, pretty good atmosphere overall. I would love to say I enjoyed my dinner and wine but everything came up short. This is an honest review. I sat at the bar as a single. I ordered the recommended cab and was let down. $30 for a 10oz glass as well- don't order the "post and beam". I ordered a Caesar to start and was never asked if I wanted a main course until well after the salad was finished and long gone. Fine. But the salad sucked. Truly. Tasted like it was made at 11am and I ate at 7:45pm. Once cleared I was asked if I'd like anything else, which was strange since another server already took my menu without asking me that earlier and no one noticed. But, since I hadn't actually eaten much I ordered the Wagyu meatballs. I would have ordered a steak but the salad was so disappointing I didn't want to drop $60 given what I had to go on, plus the lack of interest in my dining experience. The meatballs were not bad, not great either. A very large portion but that's about all the praise I can give them. Server/bartender was nice and seemed to be chummy with some locals so people seemed to like this place. Maybe I just didn't go big enough for a quality experience? $80 all-in for a salad, meatballs and a glass of wine. You tell me if it sounds worth it. I will say I saw the kitchen staff put out some incredible looking steaks from what I could see but yet there was none for me.

Really disappointing meals and way overpriced for the quality of food. Appetizers were not great, calamari was tough and flavorless and the French onion soup had a very strong Worcestershire flavor. Our steaks were so undercooked we had to send them back, which I almost never do. But my son's was especially raw. My food came back lukewarm, even the potato. And my son's steak was almost well done and again not a lot of flavor, especially for what you expect from a ribeye. This was a birthday dinner for my son, on his birthday. It is so disappointing because the ambiance was good and I really wanted it to be a good experience. It wasn't busy for dinner, it was a Tuesday night. Plenty of people were there for happy hour it seemed but the dinner crowd was very light. Spend a lot of money for 2 people to have a terrible dinner. VERY disappointing. I expected so much more.
