Food was delicious. Tortillas are made like your at home in mexico. I had the picadillo burrito and was fantastic. Also had the shredded beef burrito and you don't need to add any salsa or lime. Flavor is on point. Highly recommend this place if you want authentic food

This place is a little hidden gem, it's tucked away in shopping center in front of Dollar Tree and next to Panda Express. Service isn't the fastest but that's ok because food is made to order and super fresh and with homemade tortillas Support this small business and your tastebuds won't be disappointed

It is a nice place. I don't understand how they are different from Filibertos or Super Oscar next door or any taco Shop.I had the Bisteck Rancheo $6.75. My son had the quesadilla. My burrito was average. They cook the tortilla in the back but then they come up to the front and scoop the meat and the beans in your tortilla like Chipotle. The burrito is already designed so you don't get to tell them if you want cheese or any extras. Mine was pretty bland with just beans and meat. The quesadilla is $5. Which is expensive for what it is. And since they grill the tortillas on the burners the quesadilla tastes like burnt burner flavor. Many kids would not like it. Tasted off for me, like bad not flavor. They sell themselves on a Northern Mexico menu. It's a thicker tortilla but I'm not a fan. I can cook better at home. The local carniceria can offer better meat that you can cook at home. I am not sure they really have anything to offer. They have a few Salsas. I just saw a red and green and a guaca-mayo style plus limes and extras. And the small tiny little salsa cups did not have lids. I had to ask for lids for my to-go salsa cups.Doutbful I will come back

The food was so bland. The limes they gave me were so dry I expected powder spitting out. I got 6 tacos and I asked for extra salsa. They only gave me 1 red and 1 green salsa. They overkilled and DRENCHED my tacos in cilantro. I couldn't even see the corn tortillas because of how much cilantro was on it. Never againI should had known better, it was empty as I stepped in.

Aug 30,2018. Went in with my husband to try out "Choon" & OMG! This place did not disappoint. I ordered the Asado de Puerco burro & it was delicious. It came in a homemade tortilla de harina. And the tortilla de harina was pretty thick (they're usually almost see through at other places) & the tortilla was soooooooo good. It took me back when I was a kid & my mom would make tortillas de harina & she'd fill it ip with butter & hand it over-sooooo yummy! The asado was perfect! The flavor was perfect! My husband had the bistec ranchero & that was also good. The tortillas de harina alone would want to make you return. Which we are, too try out the other meats. Cause there's a variety of meats & breakfast burritos to choose from. They also have tacos & gorditas.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST BURRITOS IN PHOENIX. Sorry, i have seen New Times post best burritos obviously they have not had CHOONS. I love the breakfast eggs n ham...with their salsa...soo delicious. And i have tried their chili n cheese burrito! Never disappointed on how flavorable and amazing the torillas are.I definitelty think that the 51st Ave location is better kept than the 40st location. Still e receipes are the same.

This place is the burrito antidote to Chipotle and the Mission-style burrito as a whole.Super legit burritos from the Mexican state of Sonora. Lots of choices (lengua in green chile, various meats, etc) wrapped in what appear to be freshly-made flour tortillas. They don't stuff them full of rice, beans, guacamole, lettuce, sour cream, etc, because a) that's not how burritos are made in Sonora or the rest of Mexico, and b) they don't need to. This is a really great place. Please go here and discover Mexico-Mexican food.

Virtually tasteless. I've been eating Mexican food for longer than I can remember, and this food was without any spice flavor Etc. Plus the texture was just mushy, pasty. I had three Barbacoa street tacos.Service was lackluster, dining room was loud because of the blaring television, we were given a giant thimble to put our water in, and there was a $0.50 charge to use a credit card.Nice selection of salsas and toppings to put on the food at their salsa bar.Very underwhelmed, will go back to Super Oscars in the same parking lot.
