Generous portions of Korean food dishes. Their banchan were yummy. Ordered the Gamjatang-jeongol: spicy pork bone soup in a hot pot with potatoes, cabbage, and perilla seeds. The meats on these bones were meaty. Wish had more potatoes. Only found two chunks. Bossam: boiled & sliced pork belly with oyster, garlic, jalapeno, cabbage, and sauce. The belly pork was cooked moist and soft to chew. Ohjingeoh-Bokkeum: Stir-fried squid with onion and zucchini in a red chili sauce. Delicious dish! Galbitang: Beef short rib soup with radish, clear noodles and vegetables. Short rib was chewy. Broth was light and tasty with turnip. Topokki & noodles was yummy. Although we had to get the wait help's attention severaltimes, service was good. I like their rice green tea. The restaurant is small, but I feel it is cozy. Maybe because of the nook we sat in, the warm soup, and the food itself that gives the comfort feel. The parking lot is small, so parking can be an issue. Their food is worth the wait.

This place has a very homey vibe. It feels like you're at your grandma's kitchen with your staple Korean dishes. The banchan were delicious and my favorite was the bibimbap. It was served on a hot plate which made the rice really crispy - just the way I like it! The service was quick and the staff were attentive. They helped us right away and the food came out without much delay. I'll come back when I'm looking for yummy home staple Korean food.

This spot never disappoints. The banchan is always top knotch, the portions are generous, and the service is great. The dishes feel homemade, the restaurant itself is small and unassuming. It's a cozy spot. The marinated raw crab is great, it only comes spicy though so if you're looking for soy marinated, this isn't the spot. The bibimguksu is also great, especially on a warm day. If you're into meat dishes, try the bulgolgi or galbi. I'm not into bulgogi usually due to its sweetness, but it was enjoyable here. Most recently, I ordered the galbitang, the meat was a little tough but the overall flavors of the soup were on point. Solid spot for casual Korean food. It's one of my favorites here.

First time having Korean raw marinated crab. I believe this is the only place in San Diego that serves this super trendy dish. As a novice to this dish, I will say I expected the crab meat to be sweeter. All I could taste was the super spicy marinade. You squeeze out the super soft meat which doesn't turn out to be much. The claws seemed to be inedible. We also got the bean paste stew and tteokbokki that came with fish cakes, hard boiled eggs, and ramen. These dishes were also just ok, on the blander side, nothing extraordinary. I'm used to Korean dishes being bursting with flavor and I didn't get that from here even though everything tasted good enough. Small restaurant so expect a wait. Service was good but not overly warm and friendly. Good to try once but didn't wow enough for me to return frequently.

The kamjatang, the pork bone soup can be shared with two people. The banchan are not good, but this soup was decent. Try jomaru though.

First thing to not is that although it closes at 9 pm last call was around 8. Like they stop accepting names on the wait list at 8. But don't quote me on time as it could've been earlier. The first time we came here, I think we arrived a little after that and were dumbfounded about this. Finally, we were able to try it. We arrived around 7:30 maybe got seated around 8. It took awhile for them to come over to take our order. Pretty small, but very busy shop. The kimchi jeon was probably one of the better pancakes I've had as it had a little bit of crisp to it. They also chop up the kimchi within it. If you're expecting it to be spicy, it's not. The sauce was extremely salty though. The yakdaejang was probably one of my least favorites I've ever had. The taste just wasn't there. There wasn't a lot of flavor, barely any meat. There was a good amount of noodle vegetable and egg. But the soup just didn't hit for me.The sides - pretty decent. The kimchi is more on the acidic side. But I still liked it. Around 8:30 they gave us our bill, told us they're closing at 9. Boy oh boy did I feel rushed trying to finish eating. Overall, I just didn't feel super satisfied. I'd probably go somewhere else for Korean food to be honest.

Talk about a hole in the wall. This place is great!! Probably one of my favorite Korean restaurants. Their soups are SO good. I've tried a few of their dishes and I've never been disappointed. The Galbitang and Gamjatang-Ddukbaegi are by far my favorite meals there. The Gunmandu is also to die for. I always order this as an appetizer, even when I eat there alone. They're just too good to pass up.This place doesn't look like much from the outside and it may be pretty small inside.. but do not pass it up!! You won't be disappointed!!

Terrible, overpriced and rude waiters. You guys need to retrain your staff and teach your staff to not have an attitude especially the fat Korean guy with long hair. Food was bland, mediocre small portioned. I could've gone to any local place and ordered a poke bowl with more fish in it. The atmosphere of the place was pretty cool, but it just felt weird and uncomfortable. I do not recommended this terrible restaurant.

This is an excellent restaurant. I like the Beef Bulgogi and Gamjatang recipes. The food is very authentic, and close to Seoul-Busan flavor. It has a good amount of correct spices, and the side dishes are awesome. Will keep coming back.
