Chompie's Restaurant, Deli, and Bakery

Went Thursday afternoon We just flew in from Denver and went to our favorite place. We have been going to Chompies for over 20 years! Unfortunately we discovered that The Cooks were new and so was our waiter. The food was really badly cooked and not up to our standard Chompie meal. I mean awful! We asked for the manager! Summer showed up and she made everything perfect and in fact we could not wait to come back after her accommodations. She admitted immediately that her staff were new and she is working with them. She comped our meal, gave us cheesecake and cookies to go ( we did not ask for anything but she went above and beyond to make things right! She was so sweet and concerned, that we believe management should make her a partner! We will be back often and I really hope management reads about what a difference their manager at this location can make!Thanks Summer!!!

Recently went for the second time and I love love love this new location! It's gorgeous inside and I love the bakery/deli and the little bar to the right that serves alcohol and different iced coffees (my friend raved about her iced coffee. She loved it so much she ordered a second one).Food is always great (you always get a TON of food) but what I am most impressed with is their customer service. The gentleman who brought our food was awesome and thorough (he even asked if he could bring me a cup of extra ice because he notices that with the iced tea, the ice melts fast... I mean WOW!). Then the Server gave me a cup to take my tea to go but when I was putting the lid on, the plastic cup cracked and the tea was spilling. I thought it was a bust, but when I went to the bakery to buy a black and white cookie, I mentioned what happened to the lady getting my cookie.... she then went and got me another iced tea and gave me a HUGE cup. She also asked if she could put my leftovers in the bag with my cookie. These may sound like little things, but they say "it's the little things that matter most" for a reason. I will definitely be returning.

I recently visited Chompie's on Cactus with high hopes, especially since it's a special treat for my niece who doesn't have one in Seattle. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected.Let's start with the positives: the food itself was quite good. However, everything else was a letdown. The moment we walked in, we had to stand by the hostess stand for almost 5 minutes before the greeter approached us with a less-than-welcoming, "You guys want a table?!?" We were seated at a dirty table with disgusting chopped meat and crayon smears all over it. The hostess came over slowly and wiped the table with a dirty rag and no sanitizer, barely making an effort to clean it. I ended up taking the rag from her to properly clean the table myself.The floor was so dirty it was slimy and slippery to walk on, making the entire dining experience feel unhygienic. Our server forgot to serve the complimentary pickles before our meal, which is something we always look forward to. The bartending was equally disappointing. My Mule drink didn't have fresh lime, and I had to go up to the bar twice to get it myself. To top it off, my niece's food was cold, including her matzo ball soup.Overall, this visit was underwhelming and disappointing. Chompie's has always been a special place for us, but this experience certainly didn't live up to its reputation. I hope they can improve their service and cleanliness to match the quality of their food.

I'm not quite sure how to describe this eatery. It's part New York deli and part Texas diner with Mexican flavoring.There is ample parking.You should probably get on the waiting list if you want to eat here on the weekend anytime before 2 pm.The decor is quite showy.The food is designed to fill you up. You will not leave hungry.I ordered a hamburger and I managed to eat it all. It was very tasty and cooked exactly to my specifications. I also had a great tasting latte with soy milk.There is a nice patio.The waiter was very attentive but a little forgetful. All our food arrived quite quickly.

Wow, you really need an appetite or a doggie bag! Portions are huge! I had the protein pancakes and they were delicious! I'm looking forward to my leftovers tomorrow morning!Service was great. If you come here on the weekend like we did, expect to wait until a table opens up. There are a lot of tables inside and an outside patio area too.

By far our favorite breakfast spot! The food is always delicious, the service is always attentive, and the portions are very generous. I can always get two meals out of my breakfast. My favorite is the Baja omelette and my boyfriend loves the All American breakfast and the strawberry shortcake pancakes. However the best part to me is you can get a latke instead of potatoes or hash browns. Definitely the way to go!!

My Closet Friend and Christian Brother Vaughn invited me here.My Egg-white Omelette was Superb!!Doused it with CHOLILA. I also ate a toasted Pumpernickel Bagel ; Smeared with WalnutCream cheese. Two Strips of Hickory SmokedBacon , Two links of Sausage and Cup after CupOf Coffee. The pictures to follow are Murals. I recently tried Chompie's jalapeño bagel and coffee cake and I must say, I was blown away by the delicious flavors! The jalapeño bagel had the perfect amount of spice and was incredibly fresh and chewy. The coffee cake was moist, flavorful, and had a generous amount of crumb topping that added a nice crunch.I paired my breakfast treats with a cup of their coffee and I was equally impressed. The coffee was rich and smooth, the perfect accompaniment to my meal. The overall experience at Chompie's was fantastic and I will definitely be coming back for more of their tasty baked goods and great coffee.I highly recommend stopping by Chompie's for a delicious breakfast or snack. You won't be disappointed!

Door dashed the food. The pastrami was very good and loaded! The bagel and smear was also very good.

I used to believe Chompie's had the best bagels ever! That was until today. I got a bakers dozen and to my disappointment, they tasted horrible ! Not what I'm used to! They were hard and dry! Worse than a day old for sure. It's sad because I haven't had them since last year and I was really craving them but now I know they're not what they used to be.
