Saw these guys from a tour I got. We got to sample the Taylor's Gold Pear and the Pluot (hybrid of plum and apricot). They were both very delicious: sweet and juicy! My friends and I were definitely going back after the tour was over. Only thing we found as a problem is the price. We weren't too concerned, but we should have because it was pricey! $5 for two fruits!Overall, Pro: sweet delicious fruits, really friendly and down-to-earth employees, thy even pic the fruit for you which is great cause I would not know how to pick some of the wacky stuff they have (I explained how I really like firm nectarines, and he was honest in saying they don't really have any instead of just selling me one to make a sale). Con: really pricey. I was willing because of the fact they workers were so nice and they were just a great group and a local business (I love supporting small businesses!)

One of the workers was giving out slices of their pears, so I tried a piece. All the workers are very friendly and funny. It was the juiciest and sweetest pears I've ever had. He gave me another slice, but this time he was feeding it to me lol. I tried some of the other fruit stands, but this is the best one at Pike Place. It's expensive, but worth it. I love pears and would love it as a gift! ;)

When I was visiting Seattle and in Pike's Place, this shop caught my eye because everyone I know loves hot peppers. They make a wreathes and other unique hangings of different types of peppers. You can let it dry out or eat as you go. Because I was traveling, I picked up a card so I could order from home (in FLA). I ordered through the website, and about a month later I had to call to inquire about my order. The payment had gone through, but no goods sent. To date, I still haven't gotten my order. If you're in Seattle stop in. If not, you're outta luck.

We are huge fans of Choice Produce and Pepper. We always buy our produce form them. They are super friendly and really nice and playful with our children. This makes shopping in the market far more enjoyable for the whole family. I always get great produce and tips for what is particularly tasty that day.About the pepper complaints. We bought one of the pepper wreaths for my in-laws and for some reason it had gone a little bad by the time it got to San Diego. You can't always control what goes on with fresh and dried produce. We told them about it and they sent a new one to our happy in-laws, free of charge.

Choice Produce and Pepper frequently offers fruit samples in the market. This is exactly how they hook you (and they've hooked me mannnnny times!). I've now purchased fruit from them on numerous occasions, including pears, white peaches, yellow peaches, and white nectarines. They are sink-your-teeth-into-goodness. Really delicious and super fresh. I'd say my favorite is the white nectarine. In terms of service, I love the people who work there. They're friendly and fun.....and typically make jokes as they hand out samples. What I really like is they will advise you which fruit is best the day you come, which makes picking out a fruit a lot easier. I think it also reflects the fact that they want you to be happy and they're not just there to make a quick buck. Like others have said, the downside is they are pretty expensive ($3.99 a pound). Despite the price, this is some of the best fruit I've ever tasted so I find it worth it.

There are a number of produce shops at Pike Place, but this one is my favorite. I like that as soon as you get close, no matter how dense the crowd is, there's always an employee immediately ready to assist you. I simply name what I want, and they produce it - onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, turnips, garlic, baby spinach, grapes, and even fresh thyme and parsley! They assemble everything, weight it, and ring it up, faster and more efficiently than I ever have done for myself at a grocery store - and with better prices and quality.Choice Produce, in case you're confused about locations because of the total inadequacy of online maps around the Market, is on the east side of Pike Place, right where Post Alley branches off, next to El Marcado Latino, by the big metal staircase. It's past Franks Produce and Jack's Fish Spot.

I'm a fan because of all the places who sell Fuji apples (which, someone please correct me if I'm wrong but these are LOCAL apples) were cheaper than the other stands selling the same Fuji apples! They were huge and delicious.I don't know why there's such a difference in price from one stand to another but if you've got the same stuff, pricing really ought to be the same. In any event, this spot had a great display and loved the pepper garlands hanging around too.

They proudly display a sign on their produce that says, "just put the tip in see how it feels." When told that this is extraordinarily insulting to women and they should consider taking it down, the man working the booth said, "I didn't put it there, I just showed up to work."

I bought a Chile pepper garland as a gift. I was not told that it should not stay in the box for more than three days. I kept it in the box for less than a week when I gave it to a family member it was moldy. Since I live out of state and could not return the product, they would not give me a refund. Pretty disappointing.
