Maria was very kind and friendly! The shop has a relaxing vibe to it, there are 3 tables to enjoy desserts. The menu is extensive: there are shakes, coffees, specialty ice cream offerings and a pastry with toppings portion of the menu. We got the lava cake- it was the perfect temperature and the ice cream (we got vanilla) was the perfect pair.

The birthday girl wanted something sweet after hanging out at the beach, so we found the only spot nearby that opened late. You order at the counter and the space is pretty small. We got the bash roll, lava cake, Nutella waffle, and some ice cream. We also shared some kind of roll, but I forgot the name of it. The desserts were good, nothing spectacular, but satisfied our cravings.

Service 10/10, cleanliness 9/10, shake itself 5/10The shop has some parking and has big work space behind the counter and some seating for customers. Very clean inside and windows / glass all were freshly washed, tables and chairs all clean too. There was only one employee and she was prompt, friendly, and polite. Great service! It's a little pricey but the cute display of all the candy and dessert options are quite good.I'll probably come back and try something other than a milkshake to judge further. I think the shake was the least impressive thing on the menu because it had a lot of actual ice in it, more of a sugary smoothie or frappe texture. Also the chocolate drizzled on the cup is the sort that hardens instantly so it's just for visual effect and you can't eat it. Basically a lot of what goes into the shake isn't actually ice cream and mix ins, not worth $9.

Maria was amazing. If I were a business owner I would pray to have staff like her. We came down 9 hours from Northern California for two days and ran into this place on day one. Made sure we came back before we headed back home. Sweets are amazing but it's the customer service for me!! My boyfriend & I literally asked her on our second visit if she was the owner. That's how amazing she is!

Wandered into this place after dinner in PB. Got some waffles specials and a fruit cup.. Fruit cup, we got mixed fruits with Nutella and kiwi and pineapple pieces were super sour..The waffle specials were good so was the ice cream on top, but the waffle itself was not crispy and it became super soggy within minutes. Nice concept, good and fast service , but taste was hit-or-miss

Late night sweet tooth alert... Chocolate Bash has migrated south from LA/OC with a newly opened shop in PB. I saw the 'Open' sign tonight while I was driving on Garnet Ave so I turned back to check out the place. They have been in business for less than a week after spending over a year to get the suite ready. The daily hours of operation are from noon until at least midnight which is really aggressive to catch the night owls leaving the bars and restaurants on this drag. They are located next door to Wing Stop with about a dozen parking spots to share between the businesses. As I parked, a couple of workers were walking out with trays of samples to hand out to people passing by on the sidewalk. I tried one of the mini pancake pieces that was covered with Rice Krispies and chocolate sauce. I was going to walk in and buy some sweets anyway, but the sample had me hooked. There were several employees preparing items while a manager (owner?) staffed the register. He explained the ingredients in several items (e.g. Bash Burger, Crepuccini) and pointed out that much of their chocolate was sourced from Belgium and other parts of Europe. I was given a small cup of Belgian chocolate to taste and that took me back to my last trip to that country. The chocolate on that continent is vastly superior to the best purveyors here in the States. Now the question was what to purchase and take home with me to savor later. On the left menu screen was a roster of drinks... coffee, tea, shakes, mocha, lattes. The center screen contained the list of Bash specials and treats like cheesecake, cream puffs, crepes, ice cream cups, pancakes, fruits on a stick, etc. The right screen spelled out the three steps if you wanted to build your own pastry. While I was deliberating, a chocolate covered strawberry and a sample of the pistachio topping were given to me for taste testing. Man, so many choices and only one stomach. These were my two selections which each cost $13.99...* Bash Roll - Crepe rolled with a choice of two fruits (banana and strawberry were mine) with a half and half topping of Belgian milk chocolate and cookie butter.* Sushi Crepe - Sushi style crepe wrapped in Kinder chocolate topped with a white and dark chocolate drizzle. Digestive cookies and strawberries were provided as sides.I couldn't stop enjoying how intense and flavorful the Belgian chocolate tasted. The crepe dough was light and cooked fresh on a griddle by the kitchen staff. I had to look up the description of a digestive cookie. The answer was a semi-sweet biscuit with high fiber content that can aid with digestion. There were a few other items that caught my eye, but those will have to wait for a return visit. The service was polite and informative with a bonus of multiple taste samples and a 15% promotional grand opening discount. If there was one drawback, it's the shop location which is not highly visible from the street as you drive or walk by the address.

A MUST TRYWent today for the first time with a couple of friends and we got the best service ever. Maria was welcoming, let us try samples, and helped recommend what to try off the menu. The menu was full of so many treats and items it was hard to choose from. I got a dipped s'mores and dipped brownie and they were both delicious and quality treats. Will be returning here & bringing friends!

Maria was so kind and welcoming as we came in. Then she had some great recommendations for us and we left with a box of chocolate covered strawberries, a lava cake with ice cream and a little bag of Oreo covered chocolates imported from Europe. I mean COME ON! Chocolate heaven! We can't wait to come back the next time we're in San Diego!
