One of my personal favorite places to sit back and pass the hours of the day away. It's very easy to lose hours of time here, despite its cozy size. From the Italian imports and wall of chocolate, to the simply packaged loose leaf tea and vinyls, this place embodies the true meaning of a "third place".It has all the warmth and coziness of sitting by a window with an enthralling book. The owner is a sweetheart as well and a wealth of rich knowledge and experience. I come back to indulge my sweet tooth with a few truffles or a chai tea.The vinyls selection is surprisingly large relative to size and caters to different tastes without showing preference. It won't replace your regular vinyl shops but it's a fun addition rarely seen in cafes, or really any business since digital commerce has become the norm.In short, turn off your phone, bring a book and enjoy a feast for the all the senses and the soul.

The old Seattle isn't dead! I stopped in here for coffee and discovered that it is not just a coffee/ chocolate shop but also sells secondhand records, wine, cheese, and other assorted goodies. The owner was still priming her espresso machine and poured the shot for my americano three times to make sure it was just right. She explained to me why the first two pulls weren't up to par so I came away with a deeper knowledge of espresso as well as a gratis americano and chocolate sample since I had to wait. This is a lovely and eclectic shop with an owner who is very knowledgeable about chocolate and coffee, aka the finer things in life!

Chocolate heaven! the hot chocolate and the chocolates are little drops of heaven! We were in Greenwood and came across this highly rated chocolate shop. This is an Italian inspired chocolate shop which has lots of chocolates from all over the world, coffee and tea. They also have vinyl collection! We ordered Hot Chocolate which was made of Venezuelan Dark Chocolate (65%). It was one of the smoothest & silkiest chocolate drink we ever had. The owner gave us a brief intro about the store and we ordered truffles from Laderach brand. We took the Cardamon and Coconut flavors created by Laderach based on Indian flavors. Both of these chocolates took us back to our favorite Indian desserts based on Cardamon and Coconut! They were amazing! we also got a taste of new Chocolates from San Francisco. it was a dark chocolate made by Orange peels. You could taste the orange as well! The owner also mentioned that they are opening a new Italian sandwich shop across the street! This store is right at the intersection of a 4 way stop sign and has limited parking in front of the store; you can find street parking on either side.Lastly, this store is bit expensive and charges for the quality of the products they have!

It's been awhile since my last visit to Chocolat Vitale and obviously it was pre-Yelp. Stopped in with The Homie yesterday afternoon (11/11/17) and of course, forgot to officially check-in! Wow the retail space had transformed with additional seating and retail focal points interspersed! Lovely layout with lots of natural light from the large windows. Got some of their signature drinking chocolate (10 ounces $19, 20% off through 11/12/17!) and some Cluizel chocolates: 4 chocolate coated orange peel ($1 for a pair), 2 with gianduja, and 2 The Homie picked where the latter two types were $2 each.I enjoy the retail sites like Fran's, Chocolopolis, Chocolati, Theo's, Intrigue, and Chocolat Vitale. Ironic that I'm posting during the Chocolate Festival weekend in Seattle. Yes, Halloween just passed with all those bite sized goodies. But if one wants to indulge and savor delicious, high quality chocolate and support an indie shop with personable customer service (especially from Janet Eicher), be sure to stop Chocolat Vitale!

Terrific experience! Drove by here an opted to stop in after reading the glowing reviews. Delicious drinking chocolates, chocolate bars and chocolates from all over the country/world, records, and some Italian goods. A great find - the owner was so warm and friendly. Can't wait for my next visit.

The best hot chocolate in the city - best hot chocolate I've ever had in my life! I'm a picky hot chocolate drinker and this one really delivers. I get 50% cocoa, but they also have higher percentages for a darker taste. The cocoa is tasty in-house or to-go.Their goat's milk cheese from the cheese tray is also impeccable. The ambiance is a trip - lots of records and furniture to dodge around and cozy up to. I'm on my way to becoming a regular.

This place has the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Period. No really- the best EVER. I am not kidding one bit when I say that. And I have had my fair share of drinking chocolate across several spots on the west coast. The first thing you'll notice getting in is that it looks nothing like a regular cafe. They have coffees, small pastries and truffles, and bags of coffee and chocolates on one side. They also sell some knick-knacks - think cute cups, teapots and plants(!). Then, there are bottles of wine. Finally, the records on on the other side. Yep, good old records as well as a record player. This is an odd combination, but I'd love to myself have a shop where I sell all of my favorite things. Now, onto the drinking chocolates - you can not only pick milk, dark, extra dark, but you can go a step further and (almost) pick percentages of cocoa in your drink - "Would you like 68%, 74%, 81% or 88%?" - and country of origin - "Venezuela or Columbia?" And if you're lucky, you may get to hear the story behind the chocolate you're drinking. Ask!

This place is perfection. Wine, chocolate, cheese, and records! These are a few of my favorite things. They are extremely knowledgeable in all of their products and it is a very comfortable atmosphere. Their products are all top-notch but also reasonable. I highly recommend coming here and trying a little bit of everything.
