China Wok Restaurant

China Wok is my go-to Chinese restaurant. They have lunch and dinner specials that include an entrée, fried rice, and an eggroll. First, let's talk about the eggrolls. Chicago Chinese restaurants are better than any others that I've had in the nation for one simple rule that China Wok adheres to - a little bit of peanut butter in the eggroll. Not a lot, just enough to add flavor and to give the filling that perfect, drool inducing, consistency. China Wok makes my favorite eggrolls in the city. I used to be a huge fan of Pekin House on Devon because of the peanut butter in the eggrolls, and I was SO sad when they closed. China Wok satisfies those eggroll cravings though, so much so that I sometimes stop there just for two to get my fix.The lunch/dinner specials are packed with food. I can easily split one special between me and my daughter. My go-to entrees are Orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, Mongolian Beef, Andy's lo mein, and the Kung Pao Chicken. All of these items are super tasty, and the fried chicken pieces in the orange and General Tso chicken are meaty without TOO much breading. The rice is really good too. Even when I order delivery everything comes nice and fresh with my Orange chicken saucy, but still crispy.I usually call the restaurant for delivery, and they typically have it to my house within the hour. Last time I picked up the parking lot was kind of full, but there was someone dressed like Pikachu dancing across the street, so that was cool. The man and woman that are usually working are very sweet. One time they forgot something in my order, and credited my account. I forgot the next time I ordered, but they didn't. They sent the extra item without me even asking. I will legit be SO SAD if anything ever happens to China Wok, so go check them out! You won't be disappointed.

Ordered some mushroom fried rice literally found 1 piece of mushroom in the entire rice order! The crab rangoons were so hard it felt like you could break a window with em... the lady expected a tip from me.. nah I'm good.. it's a hole in the wall alright... I don't like it, I'm really really good on that note!!!!!!!

This is my household staple for Chinese take out. The food is made fast and it's always soooo so good!The egg rolls are always crispy and fresh

False advertising,, menu clearly say drink with the dinner special.. she denied.. food was just ok

Nice little Chinese place for takeout. The prices are relatively fair for what your getting and they have great deals. They even have the lunch specials available after lunch for a dollar or two more I believe and yet still a great deal. The lady taking the orders was very kind and and got our food very quickly. Every now and then I crave me some orange chicken. I ordered their orange chicken lunch special, which came with your typical chicken fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was tasty as was their chicken fried rice. Everything also tasted fresh. I've never been a big fan of this style orange chicken where they use the same chicken that they would use for sweet and sour chicken, except for the orange chicken sauce that they add to it. It was definitely spicy and delicious, but never been a big fan of orange chicken. Despite not caring for it much, I still will probably order it again and again.

This is my go to spot in my area for Chinese food. I usually order Mongolian Beef, Singapore noodles, chicken fried rice and my daughter lives their deep fried chicken wings! The food is always good and the service is always friendly. Whenever I order they tell me about 30 minutes or more but my food has always been delivered before that time frame!

Amazing Sesame Chicken! And Crab Rangoon! Worth the drive from where ever you live! Great food and staff is super friendly!!!
