China One

China one has become my place to go for Chinese in Donelson. I order from here at minimum twice a month. The honey walnut shrimp.... If you haven't tried it... get it!! So good! The food always come to my door really quickly and the delivery people are super nice. The mai fun as well as the bean curd with mixed vegetables are staples of mine. I usually order a large quantity with friends over and we set up buffet style after a night out! We've had no complaints. The only one we've not been huge on is the bourbon chicken- the sauce is very flavorful but the chicken always seems to be too dry. The beef and broccoli and sesame chicken (traditional favorites) always come out well. I think this is a great hole in the wall spot to get your Chinese fix!

Let me preface this by saying I am Chinese. I've worked in a chinese restaurant. I've been to Asia. I grew up in California. And I travel for work. This is not your place for fine dining, but for your on-the-go/ order-in chinese food; this place is AMAZING. And the food comes out pretty quick too. Im used to being disappointed or not having high hopes for these asian joints, but this is as authentic as it gets. I've ordered the kung pao chicken, beef and broccoli, and honey walnut shrimp. The taste, texture, and quality all are 5/5. I usually like to post reviews so I can find it again if I am ever back in the area. This place is a hidden gem. Definitely good portions for the price as well.

Food was tasty and fresh. Service was quick for the lunch hour I was picking up. The ambiance was that of a Chinese restaurant. Dining room has several tables for dining in and ample FREE parking available outside.

I ordered from China One though DoorDash and it arrived still hot which is impressive. The General Tso chicken was ok. It had a nice spiciness to it, which is what I asked for, but the flavor seem to have a sweet and sour taste to it. Don't get me wrong, I ate the whole thing, but it's not the General Tso flavor I am used to with Chinese restaurants. The fried rice was bland and had little flavor to it. It appears to be some yellow grained rice with small pieces of onion and pork throughout. The first picture makes it appear there is not much quantify of either item, but in my second picture you can see how much actually came in the container.The egg rolls were your average egg roll with a crispy exterior and flavorful interior. It was still steaming hot when I got it, so again impressed with how well the food maintained temperature during the 20 minute transit to my hotel room.Overall, I was not overly impressed with he flavor of the food. The quality was there, but their flavors are inconsistent or non-existent in some items. It's a hit and miss when it comes to Chinese and the effort they are willing to put into their food.

I am a loyal China One customer - get the general Tao'a w/ an extra egg roll to split with my SO. I think the pork fried rice is extra good. We've also had the dumplings and crab Rangoons were both great. I order on DoorDash and pick up.

0 stars for ripping me off $35 on an uber eats delivery! They do not work the app right as a restaurant! App shows food cooking you call and they say its on its way. The driver is supposed to come straight to your house. Today, when my order was on the way, the driver drove past my house 2 Miles and sat a Mapco probably eating my food. China one can't do anything. Or won't. Uber Eats won't credit my account. I had to cancel. I got a driver with a 4.99 rating which means he's new. I grew up in the neighborhood since I was a kid. it's amazing a local restaurant treats you like that. Save your money and go eat at McDonald's.

Sadly disappointed in the Chef's Special, Seafood Delight. Couldn't even find any lobster. OK amount of shrimp & scallops. Tons of unexpected & unwanted surimi, which is just reconstituted white fish pretending to be crab. Veggies were OK; little tiny pieces of mushrooms, snow peas, broccoli, carrots, bok choy, tiny chunk of one baby corn. And, we usually really like this restaurant & order delivery often.

Very good food! We got a lot of different things and they were all good. First time in Nashville and wanted something different.

This place has always been a good Chinese place to grab some lunch or dinner. It's own and run by a family and they are very fast. The same lady always takes the order. They food tastes good and they give you plenty. If you go there often they will eventually know you and treat you more like family. They have the regular items like all Chinese food restaurants (combinations, fried food, dumplings, etc). They always give you sauces and utensils but you can grab some too on the counter. They have seating inside for you to have your food there if you want to. It's a decent size, maybe for about 10-12 people. They also have a bathroom and it's decent. The place is dated so don't expect much. Overall, a decent place to come and grab Chinese food if you live or work close by.

My favorite Chinese food restaurant in the area. I travel the country for work and this is consistently one of my favorites I've ever been to. The pork fried rice is something I could eat an unhealthy amount of, and the General Tso Chicken is always cooked to perfection. I also have a weak spot for the eggrolls.
