China House is amazing - go at lunch time! The lady working is super duper nice and parking is abundant. They have lunch specials at a great price but their Korean style Chinese food is really where it's it. Problem is the menu is ALL in Korean for this section, no translation. So you have to be Korean or be with someone Korean to decipher what's on the menu. I was telling my friend today at lunch that it's a shame they don't have English translations. I'm sure they would have more business if they did because their Korean style stuff is fantastic!I shared the Beef Tang Soo Yok (Korean style sweet & sour) with my friend for lunch today...the portion is just the right size for two people to share. The sauce is much lighter in flavor and density than the standard sweet and sour you're used to from Chinese restaurants. It douses all of the meat completely, no skimping on sauce here. The meat is soft and perfectly cooked with perfect breading. The breading is ever so slightly less dense than the normal which makes it feel slightly less fattening. To top it all off, this dish has sliced, soft apples soaked in the sauce. Such a nice surprise and a great way to spice the dish up!Bring someone Korean and go to China House! Or bring some cool translator that can snap a photo of text and then translate, bam!

A no-frills restaurant with great hospitality and service! I loved my jajangmyeon and the owner was so friendly and kind. She brought kimchi and dakon out with it. Generous portions and low prices! She and I had a lovely chat after I finished my food and I so appreciated talking with her. I'll definitely be back!

I really only come here when I'm going through Schaumburg because my husband likes the food. The wife is amazingly nice and always trying to make sure the experience is good and if it were for her I would give a better review. However the husband is so rude. He speaks to you like he's doing you a favor instead of like your a paying customer. He's yelled at us for showing up earlier than he said for pick up before. Who does that? And the service isn't any better over the phone when he aggressively asks you if you want your order or not. Well I'm calling for it, so Obviously I want it. Sorry, I can't stand poor customer service. But the food is decent though.

I've been here twice in a month. The first time it was a 5-star visit with the best Peking noodles I've had since Yu's Mandarin. For those not in the know, these are a Chinese Korean noodle dish with a pork-based black bean sauce. The sauce was rich and the noodles were cooked just right. The most recent visit the same dish was not quite the same. The sauce was not as rich, a bit watery actually. We also had the Korean version of sweet and sour which was too sweet and the pieces of battered and fried pork were very small. My son also ordered his favorite - orange chicken - and said the chicken was over-fried.The seating area is small, but most of the business seems to run on carry out. Several folks came in to pick up their orders during both of my visits keeping the very friendly, efficient waitress busy between making sure our group of 7 was doing alright and getting carry out orders ready. If you eat in, they offer free hot tea with the meal as well as a small cup of coffeeafterwards. Nice touch to stave off food coma!I'll be back, confident the watery sauce was a fluke.

Great food, great price. If you want hand-made Peking noodles, this is the best place for it in the area. The owner is very friendly and she wants her patrons to have a tasty experience. This is a family-type restaurant and the owners are making the food themselves. I have gone back many times with my family of five and we always came back with left-overs for the next day.Definitely a place to go for noodles, please enjoy the food.

This Chinese restaurant offers really authentic and affordable traditional Chinese dishes. The restaurant is ran by a korean couple and provided excellent service for my family. The foods were made fresh and our food was served very quickly. I was really impressed by how crispy and flavorful their sweet & sour beef and shrimp were. The only downside for that dish was that it was very saucy and it was overly sweet, but overall loved everything about it (the slices of apple, carrots, and cucumbers were a nice add-in). The jajangmyeon is a must get item on their menu because it had everything I wanted in a jajangmeyeon. The black bean sauce for the noodle was not lacking any of the meat & vegetables that were put in to make the sauce and a lot of MSG was not added into the sauce compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Overall, this Chinese restaurant gives you everything you desire in Chinese cuisine and I highly recommend you trying the Sweet & Sour beef or shrimp and Jajangmeyeon (either pork or seafood)!

Purely based on food, 5 stars. This place makes one the best Korean-Chinese in the Chicagoland area. We get jjajangmyun (black bean noodle dish), sweet and sour beef (tongsuyuk), spicy seafood noodle (jjampong), beef and peppers (gochu jabchae) and they are all really good. My family and I have been coming here for years and we just love everything get. I just had their crab Rangoon and it was amazing - drooling right now thinking about that. I don't live in IL anymore but every time I visit home, I don't leave without swinging by this place. It's a small mom and pop and they have always been awesome to me and my family.

Viewed their menu on line which listed was chinese food. After making our selections, gave them a call. Wouldn't even take an order. They said they only have korean food. No where on their menu dose it say that. They used to have good food. Wont be calling them back.

I don't understand any negative review. To say you got "sick" from a restaurant and give it a negative review...guess that's subjective and probably coincidence. I totally get the owner's perspective that if no other complaints were received on the same day, they were likely not the culprit. Not saying any other customer's experience is wrong and after getting sick after eating at a place, totally get having a distaste for that particular place, just saying, don't be discouraged by one negative review. This restaurant is one of those "whole in the wall" type establishments. Really good food. Eat in, is lacking ambiance. My family loves their General Tso's Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Beef Lo Mein. I even like their chicken dishes leftover, and I can't think of any other chicken dish (even ones I make myself) that I can say that about. The staff is always very friendly and makes the overall experience pleasant.
